• I really liked the arcade room. The room was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable.
• No microwave or fridge.

• I get to go back to the Marriot today.
• No heat missed cleaning room 1 day, lots of noise at night from kids.

• There was a sofa/bed as well as the king-size bed.
• There were no plastic utensils in the room. The heating/air unit was loud.

“The gentleman at the front desk was very polite. Local phone calls were 86 cents. I'm used of free local calls.”

• The price.
• The bed was very hard, the breakfast was old/cold & waste of money.

“This hotel is supposedly in the middle of renovations. If I remember correctly they state on their sign they've already renovated the bathrooms. Part of our bathroom was nice; however the sink had a loose faucet. When we turned on the bathroom light, the coffee pot automatically turned on. If we had not noticed it, it might have caught fire, as there was no water in it. Apparently the cleaning staff had left it on and plugged up so that when the light switch was turned on it activated the outlet where the coffee pot was plugged in. the bed was incredibly hard to sleep on. The comforter was extremely thick, something you do not need in the south. Especially considering it was December and 80 something degrees outside! The air conditioning unit did not work properly. It blew humid air out of the vent the entire night. The room also had an odor to it; it reminded me of stale cigarette smoke although the room was non smoking. The bacon was cold and the grease had hardened on it.”

• The bed was nice and comfortable and clean the room was clean.
• When I called about breakfast one person said that it came with the room when I arrive woke up the next day call about breakfast someone told me no.

“I found the hotel to be appealing to the eye the inside of the hotel it self was very beautiful the staff was very friendly and business likes.”

• Comfortable beds and nice colors.
• Pillows not very comfortable. carpet was dirty housekeeping service not reliable. No microwave or refrigerator.

“Nice hotel for its age. Rooms could use micro-fridge and new or clean carpets. Linens were nice however the comforters were extremely heavy. Overall, the staff was very friendly.”

• GREAT for kids!!! Indoor pool, sauna & hot tub! Arcade! And 2 outdoor play areas!

• The staff was more than accommodating.
• The only thing I didn't like. I had to leave to soon!

“I very much loved this hotel. I needed an earlier check in time and the staff was more than accommodating. Allowing me to check in at noon. Rather than the usual check in of 3pm. The hotel was clean and very well kept. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. And it was very confidently located. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the holiday inn and will use it again in the future when I travel to Lafayette.”

• Dining room closes early.

“Comfortable, clean, and a nice park-like setting. A good place to get rest and to get work done. The location is good (central), but a bit hard to get in and out of during rush hour.”

• The staff was rude and unyielding to help with anything.

“I would never stay at this hotel again. Holiday inn staff are rude and do not help their customers especially when an emergency situation is presented to them. They are out to just be there to get a paycheck which they do not deserve. ”

“I would have just gone to a motel 6 or some other chain and paid their regular rate. I use it a lot but after this experience I will be very wary of going down a star level if my first offer is refused. I actually ended up paying more for this dump than I normally pay to stay in a 2 1/2 star hotel.”

• Well when I got TV. it did not work there, high speed internet did not work.

“Would never stay at this hotel ever again hotel is very old TV. Did not work there high speed internet was very slow when it did start to work. And to top it off they billed my credit card for the stay when I called them where very rude.”

“The room was too pricey for the star rating. I have stayed in other larger cities for less and better quality. the bathroom had old smell to it. the hotel lived up to its rating however it should be a one.”

“I have stayed at this hotel many times only 1 hour from my home for quick weekend get always. There were evacuees there this time who smoked in the pool area throw my room key and towel on the floor took over the pool area where my children could not swim. Being an evacuee myself, this does not allow people to break hotel rules.”

• Carpets filthy, old and moldy smell, beds cheap, stained sheets. We left and went to a Hampton Inn.

“The 2 star rating in Lafayette puts you in an older motel along the old highway. I would put any of these hotels in a category with motel 6. I will never try less than a 21/2 star rating for this city.”

• There was a hourde of kids there who occassionally got a little noisy

• strange coffeepot, but i finally figured it out

“It was clean, and centrally located. This was a big adavantage, wtih easy access to the freeway. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for families. My daughter loved the pool to relax.”

“The worst Holiday Inn I have ever seen. I've stayed in much nicer Motel 6's. Filthy carpet, broken lights, broken coffee pot, dirty room. Did not feel safe in room. People yelling and screaming all night. Door's slamming. Holiday Inn should pull the franchise from the managment.”

• couln't find the pool, didn't know it was inside

• mattresses & pillows very hard

“Low flow toilet overflowed:took maintenance 24 hrs to fix (3 calls to front desk): cleaning staff did NOT clean urine off bathrrom floor and did not clean room yet front desk called repeatedly. Restaurant greeter/staff said don't eat here: we only have one cook. Lunch arrived cold and not as ordered. Waitress having so much trouble locating the correct order for the correct person finally started calling out description of about 1 dozen burgers she had to serve: patrons starting calling outthat's my order/no, mine had pickles, mushrooms, etc too!" It was like a bad movie!!!"”

• Dirty, nasty carpets in the room. Hot water ran out in the shower.

“The hotel is old and needs to be redone. However, it is conveniently located and the staff is friendly. I was given a $6.00 coupon to use at the bar or restaurant when I checked in. The carpet in the hotel room was so gross that I had to wear shoes in the room and in the morning the hot water ran out while in the shower. Other than that the room was large for the price.”

• They charge for anything other than basic cable tv.

“Great Hotel, very close to I-10, good amenities, including free high-speed internet and free local calls. The on-demand movies and video games were way over priced (it would be cheaper to rent a vcr or game machine and titles from a local blockbuster).Very helpful staff who keep the place well maintained.”

• For families the Holidome has a large indoor common area with pool and play room.
• Don't care for rooms exiting directly to the parking lots.
