• Very good staff, very clean, great breakfast included
• Traffic and construction noise

“Excellent staff provided the non-smoking king room requested. Fast and easy check-in/out. Very good breakfast included in pleasant dining area with Lake Superior view. New addition under construction causes some additional noise, but no major inconvenience. ”

• close to college campus
• location of room and it wasn't the cleanest!

“The breakfast area was nice. I didn't like the location of our room. They are currently under construction, so the parking was not adequate. This hotel is close to the Univ. of Minn. Duluth campus so it was convenient for us to stay there. The price was right for our needs!”

• I had stayed there once before and knew it was a pretty nice place. Has a nice area where the pool is. The Continental breakfast was nice as well.
• The Sauna was out of order...the bathrooms in the pool area - the plumbing seemed poor and had to look at others' deposits.

“Overall this is a nice place to stay. Good location and nice amenities. In the Fall of 2005 there will be a water park opening up so that should lure more business. They were very helpful as well....the room they gave us...the plumbing wasn't working well in the bathroom, so they gave us a new room right away and it was a little bigger than the first room.....so that was very much appreciated.”

“The room was clean, had sufficient towels and was situated within the city limits of Duluth. The view of Lake Superior was great.”

• Desk person was extremely helpful
• We were housed across the street from main hotel

“The room was not as modern or clean as I expected, we were housed across the street from the main hotel with lobby, this could be the reason. Desk attendant was extremely helpful in getting us connected with something to do in town for dinner and entertainment. She did not hesitate to make calls and connections for us. Great customer service from her!!!”

“The Best Western Edgewater was an absolute disappointment. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that had cold air coming from it. The frame for the bathroom door had pieces missing around the frame, which looked like someone had broken it somehow. Both boxsprings had what looked to be blood on them. I didn't lift up the mattresses to look at the boxsprings. You could see it on the side of the boxsprings just looking at it. Everything in the room had a yellowish tinge to it, from the walls to the edge around the sink. It did not feel clean at all. In addition, one of the white towel in our room had a fairly large stain on it. It was absolutely repulsive. It was not a pleasurable experience at all. We actually considered checking into a different hotel for our second night, just so we wouldn't have to stay in such an uncomfortable environment.”

“Best Western Edgewater East more than met, actually surpassed my expectations. Everything was clean, friendly as would be expected. Additionally, there were two wine/beer beverage coupons and an extra nice breakfast buffet provided in the morning. The facility has a nice warm swimming pool, Jacuzzi & sauna, game areas, miniature golf and a kiddie playground. News is they're installing a water park by 2005! Wonderful, excellent in every way!”

“The hotel was great. It also included breakfast, which we didn't know and by the way was also very good. Located in front of Lake Superior the view from the room was just breathtaking!”
