  • Close to the airport and good free breakfast.
  • Small bathroom.

“It has a little bathroom, but the rest of room is nice. It has a real closet, a nice size table and a comfortable bed. In the morning there is a good free breakfast in the lobby. Also the hotel is not far from the airport.”

  • Friendly staff upon check in.
  • Bedding didn't look clean, dead bugs, wet floor.

“The area of location has a lot of closed stores and the look of a depressed area, didn't make me feel secure. Only one older restaurant close by. The floors were still wet I suppose from being cleaned. Had to sort through the pillow cases to decide which to use, they and the linens didn't appear to be clean. There were dead bugs all over the entrance area and in the bathroom.”

  • Room layout.
  • No iron.

“My room did not have an iron (although it apparently was supposed to), which is the only reason why I say it is not good for business travelers: I can do without a TV, but an iron is a must. The bathroom had not been well cleaned in some time. Otherwise, I had no complaints.”

“We ended up not staying there. The room was nasty. Very bad neighborhood. When I made my request, I asked for West Monroe. It came back as Monroe.”

  • The hallway is full of water coming from air conditioners.

  • It is clean, new, in good shape. Hotel rooms look new.
  • Breakfast buffet was only continental.

  • Very clean.
  • The room didn't have a refrigerator ,an iron ,and microwave I really didn't like that at all

“the hotel were nice but no parking space to park your car and disappointed about the room didn't have a refrigerator, microwave nor and iron ,but had a ironing board ,the hotel staff were very nice except they didn't have enough microwaves for every room.”

“I've stayed at many La Quintas over the past 5 - 10 years. This is the first one I've stayed in that had a roach problem. Although this may have been only a temporary issue is a definite turn-off. I can put up with many things; however, not this. This would not be my first choice of hotels in that area.”

  • Hotel staff most friendly.
  • Exterior could be power washed - looks a little dirty.

“Second time to stay here. Rooms will need to be refurbished in coming months. Looking a bit worn although clean. Probably will stay there again next year (April/June 2007).....front desk extremely nice people. Something you don't find usually anymore.”

  • The self-serve breakfast was good, but they needed more waffle makers.
  • Upon our arrival, we noticed there was human feces about 15 ft away from our room door and no one cleaned it up for 2 days. It was disgusting.

  • Deluxe complimentary breakfast.
  • Lack of amenities.

“This hotel was clean enough, but was extremely lacking on amenities. When the hair dryer in our room wasn't working, we phone the front desk to request a replacement and were told there were no replacement hair dryers. The complimentary breakfast was a big draw since it included hot waffles, but aside from the waffles, the breakfast was sincerely lacking. The only other offerings were fruit and cereal, plus a few watered down juices. When one of the guests brought it to the attention of the staff that the juices were watered down, the staff member responded "That's just how they are." This hotel might be nice for people who are traveling through Monroe and planning only to stop for the night, but for anyone staying a longer length of time it's lacking.”

  • All the rooms have doors that were facing the parking lot.

“Overall I liked this hotel. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was clean, and everything was in order. The only complaint I have is about the entrance to the rooms -- they're facing the parking lot (as opposed to other hotels, where the entrance is usually inside the building).”

  • Breakfast was OK.
  • This hotel lack cleanliness.

“We had to clean grime and dirt off the light switch and plate before using it. This dirt could not be missed by housekeeping if you turned on the light. The shower was not working properly. The coffee maker did not work at all. The ice machine did not work. This hotel was more like the quality you get on Hot wire.”

  • Nothing- It was Nasty, Stinky, and Uncomfortable.
  • Everything- I did not like anything about the Hotel.

“The LaQuinta was disgusting. The door keys were outdated and it took over an hour for the maintenance workers to get a key to work. The method for changing out the keys was not secure and the keys could be duplicated rather easily. The room was stinky and dirty. The bathroom was disgusting and the sheets on the bed were filled with hair balls). The Monroe, LA choice was a big disappointment.”

  • It was close to where our family lives and the breakfast was good.
  • The room had bugs in it, the TV didn't work properly, it smelled like a smoking room.

“Overall, I did not care for this hotel. Next time I know to choose a higher star hotel. This time, we had to get close to the family we were going to see due to the death in the family.”

  • The cleaning staff was very reluctant to clean my room

“It was not as good as other La Quinta's. The cleaning staff tried to dictate to me when I should leave to have my room cleaned. I had to continue to call them to come and clean. the cleaning person was somewhat glib that i requested service. The front desk staff was very good.”

  • air conditioning was excellent
  • location was mediocre at best and the hotel and grounds looked run down

“Check in went smoothly. A smoking room was not available. Room itself was adequate to a two-star hotel. Shower head fixture was a little low. Nice sitting area and nice bathroom areas. I found the beds adequate and slept fairly well. Outside noise level was moderate.”

  • Staff was very helpful. They accomodated our every request: change of room, extra towels, etc.

“This hotel room was smelly, had bugs, and did not have towels. We had called for towels at 11:30 at night after we had been at the funeral home all night for my husband's father. Needless to say, we were very disappointed.”

“Clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. I left some items in my room, called and asked them to hold them for me to pick up when I came back through. They had them for me when I arrived. They were great.”
