• The room was comfortable and the bed was fantastic. We were greeted by the front desk with a nice friendly group.
• Would have liked a hot tub.

• Would be nice to know they wouldn't give anything but a king bedroom ahead of time when traveling with children.

“The breakfast we had was cold, the waiter was rude and unaccommodating. Although the manager did knock some off the bill. Again this was the first time a hotel has not been accommodating knowing we had children in the room.”

• Location in heart of downtown attached to city Skywalk.
• Not all restaurants were open for all meals.

“The Holiday Inn Duluth provided downtown location along with free covered parking and quiet accommodations. Everything was within reach through the city skywalk and the lakefront was only .25 miles away. The restaurants provided quality food, and the sports bar was particularly enjoyable. The hours provided by the restaurants were not sufficient, but it may have been a result of the Labor Day holiday. I still found this odd since there was a good turnout in the hotel with holiday travelers. The staff was friendly in my limited contact and the room was spacious enough to set up a pack and play for a child to sleep in.”

“We had 7 people in our party and got two rooms. Unfortunately we were given 2 rooms with one king size bed each. It was a hassle for them to find another room with 2 beds, and we did end up paying for extra roll-a-ways.”

• Got the worst room in the place, smoking, and no view.

“Nasty smoking room, beds were gross, got a terrible view (the other side had a beautiful view). The air system wasn't working one on check out day in either the room or workout room.”

“We had to be moved from our original room because the ac/heat unit was not functioning properly. Mattresses were very uncomfortable caused considerable back pain. Wireless internet service was poor and even with an additional piece of equipment to boost the signal it would drop every 30-60 seconds. Atrium Pool was shut down. Location is good and convenient.”

• It was quiet once in my room.
• Overcrowded elevators.

“Overall the hotel was a good place to stay. I was traveling alone and was quite annoyed at the crowds on the elevators and in the lobby. Although the staff made it very easy to check in and check out.”

• They booked our (2) rooms with one double bed in each did not work for 4 adult men.

• Very quiet in the north tower.
• The parking garage is goofy - poor markings and signage.

“Great place. Stayed two nights with our son. The hotel is nice enough - probably could use with some updating of the wallpaper in the halls (lots of marks from carts, etc.) Otherwise very quiet and enjoyable. Would stay again. It's a ways away from Miller Hill, but then again its Duluth - you can drive it in 10 minutes!”

• Our room this time was looking in to pool could not have curtains open in the morning.

• Parking decks with low ceilings make me nervous!

• It was kind of hard to find at night.

“I think we got a great price for the star level. I would question if 3 stars is accurate. Everyone was very nice at the hotel. It had a great view, big rooms, and was very clean.”

• I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very courteous and efficient. The room was clean and amenities supplied.

• Upgraded me because they were full and did not have a room for me.
• Did not have a room for me. Shuttle did not come to air port.

“Everything was ok, except they did not have a room for me. The clerk took it upon himself to up grade me to a suite. They let me have a late check out. The shuttle did not come to get me and when I asked to be dropped off in town it never did show up and I had to get a taxi.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.
• When pulling in to the parking ramp you were required to stay to the left. We saw a few people backing up to make the turn. Hard to backup on street

• The pool area was nice and we had a pool side room and it was not noisy.
• Bathrooms really need to be updated in the rooms.

• No newspaper at my door Saturday morning.

“Hotel was pleasant; lobby sets the tone with hearth gas fireplace and business-like feel. The room we stayed in was on the inside of the pool area which was loud at night, not easy to put down 2-yr-old with ruckus going about in the next very open area. Also, our room had no outside windows, which makes you feel like youre on a cruise ships inside cabin; it was almost claustrophobic at times. Overall the hotel staff was pleasant and very courteous, the hotel sits over a skyway shopping center, which doesn't bring the friendliest looking Duluthians, but it was OK.”
