• The staff was friendly and the food was excellent.
• Although it stated that it was recently remodeled, I could find no evidence of that. Beds were uncomfortable and whole room was out of date.

• Good location.
• Hot tub was not very hot. Black tie event clogged lobby upon arrival.

“This was a pretty decent hotel, but there were a few things that surprised me for a hotel of this level. The hot tub was never really hot (I tried it three different times). The soap was that flaky cheap hotel soap. The night we were there was kid night in the pool! It was hard to enjoy with 15 kids splashing and screaming. But, it is in a good location and was a nice place overall.”

• Hotel setting was very nice and hotel inside was very nice.
• Bathroom was much too small.

• Nice sized room.
• No extras were included.

“Very nice room. Nice atrium area. They included no extras what-so-ever. Internet access, which is often free now, was extra. There were even two bottles of water put in the room for "your convinience" but if they are used you are charged $3.50 each.”

“Went to a conference, we had great hospitality rooms, excellent personal rooms, very inexpensive for the class of hotel. Wonderful personnel at the front desk. Nice lobby bar and restaurant. Close to downtown attractions. Would definitely stay there again. Free Parking!!!”

• understaffed, poor service, horrible restaurant

“Do not, I repeat do not eat at the restaurant. Food and service are both horrible. Breakfast buffet is $ 9.25 per person. It is not as good as the free buffet you get at the Holiday Inn Express.

Requested towels 3 times and are still waiting on them. Hotel is way understaffed.”

• Location was great, and it was clean and nicely updated.
• The on demand movie rental system was down and didn't work for the length of the stay.

“The Capital Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City certainly does not qualify as a three star, at least right now. I wish I would have known, but the hotel is undergoing a complete renovation. First, there was no parking (construction crew took up most of the parking). The lobby was a makeshift card table and chairs stuck in a side room. I had to walk through the one-time lobby (which was totally gutted) to get to this room. The entire interior was gutted and dusty. Dry wall was being hung so supplies were everywhere. I'm sure the hotel will be nice (three-star material) once they get it whipped into shape, but it certainly was not three-star material. Also, scaffolding was everywhere. When you pulled your curtain back to see the view, you only saw scaffolding. Fortunately, no one was standing there watching me. A sign at the front desk asked that no one open there curtains because construction crews were working. Again, hardly three stars.”
