“I have no desire.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Aaron from Altoona, IA
“I would stay again. It met all the needs of my visit.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Deb from Fishers, IN
“Nice hotel, would recommend.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Lynn from Kirkwood, MO
“We arrived in town via the Amtrak, and the hotel didn't have a shuttle running late enough for us but offered to call a cab. My daughter had surgery and was just released from crutches a couple of days before our stay. She was having some trouble walking and the hotel had a wheelchair we could borrow. It seemed like an older place but the room was clean and everything worked. It was very nice having a restaurant on site, and the food was good (and expensive, in my opinion). The pool area was nice and they had a nice size pool. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken during our entire 2-night visit and that is our main attraction at any hotel.” Jul 15, 2008 by

“I liked the waterfall and area ,underground parking, ease to get on and off highway, good view of capital building.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Karen from Nixa, MO
“For price, hotel was acceptable, overall clean. Service needs attention in all areas, especially restaurant. Customer service not their priority. Stay at other JQ's establishments, are held at a higher standard than this one. Would not stay again, will give another a try.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Buck from Springfield, MO
“Location was perfect for our needs as it was close to the capitol. Underground parking was nice too. Rooms were clean and staff helpful.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Richard from Saint Clair, MO
“Overall, appearance is very favorable. Yet some services need attention. Like internet services need to be included in price and not suppressed on at check out. I did have a bad experience with the wait service at breakfast. Yet unpleasant and rude not all staff members are included.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Chris F. from Round Rock, TX
“Nice hotel, a little old but nice. Not (in my opinion) a 3 star, but might be for the location. Parking was tough seeing its a hotel allot of meetings and conventions are held in.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Douglas from Chicago, IL
“The rooms are outdated and cold, the heat adjustment does not work.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Edward from Oak Lawn, IL
“Overall room was fresh and clean. However when my family went to take a shower after having swam in the pool we came to find out that the shower only came out in very small stream. We complained to management who sent someone to fix it he was unsuccessful and thats where it was left.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Mindy from Portland, OR
“They should make sure all elements of the room work before they make it available for stay.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Kimberly from Harrison, AR
“Very nice for the price.” Oct 15, 2007 by
Anna from Bonne Terre, MO
“Great for business, room was quiet and service was good. Asked for another pillow and they brought 2 just in case! Nice staff.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Ryan from Belleville, IL
“Arrived late, staff was not willing to put us in a non smoking room, the staff was telling us if we paid more we could have another room, it was midnight and he said that more people were coming that had yet to make a reservation.” Sep 15, 2007 by
Debra from Brookline Station, MO
“I was very disappointed with the way my reservations were handled. First, I had to call three different times to have my reservation resent before the hotel finally had record of our reservation. Then, I was charged for the room twice. I am still waiting for a refund of the second charge. The hotel staffs were not the least bit interested in helping solve either of these problems. The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were good sized, the beds were comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The pool and gym facilities were very clean. Most of the dining area was closed off for a convention, but they did offer room service. It was centrally located to downtown which was a bonus, but this is definitely a hotel for business travelers, not for families. I felt their extras were way overpriced. They charge $9.99 per day to use their high speed internet, which should be free. The bottled water in the room is a whopping $3.50! The hotel was nice, but not worth the trouble.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Amanda from Sikeston, MO
“I arrived late at night. I always assumed you got a non-smoking room unless you specified otherwise. I was so tired, I didn't realize what the smell was until the next day, and I wasn't going to ask to change rooms then. Smoking rooms smell really nasty, and hotels should always give you non-smoking unless you tell them you want smoking!” Jan 8, 2007 by
Linda from Newton, KS
“Good location next to state office building. Excellent workout facilities. Very pleasant hotel for business travel.” Jul 5, 2006 by
Debra from Dexter, MO
“This motel is nicely decorated and has a decent atmosphere. The reason we stayed at this motel was for the atmosphere and indoor pool.” May 1, 2006 by
Denis from St. Louis, MO
“The hotel is a very convenient walk to the Capital and Court house. The front desk staff were very nice. The rooms were a little stuffy/stale at first, but the A/C turned it around quickly. ” Mar 7, 2006 by
John from Saint Louis, MO
“Pleasant layout and clean room with suite. Lobby attractive and functional. Buffet breakfast medium sized selection and good quality food. Elevators were small, ran slow, and sometimes I had to wait 15 minutes to go up to my floor at busier times. This was probably made worse by the fact that there was a youth basketball tournament in town and the kids were using the elevators heavily.” Feb 9, 2006 by
Andrea from Trenton, MO
“Key location for Jefferson City business and Conferences.” Jan 18, 2006 by
Michele from Valley Park, MO
“N/A” Nov 9, 2005 by
Tony from Moberly, MO
“This was a pretty decent hotel, but there were a few things that surprised me for a hotel of this level. The hot tub was never really hot (I tried it three different times). The soap was that flaky cheap hotel soap. The night we were there was kid night in the pool! It was hard to enjoy with 15 kids splashing and screaming. But, it is in a good location and was a nice place overall.” Oct 18, 2005 by
Danny from Patoka, IL
“Overall, I was impressed. I thought the staff could of been friendlier but an overall good experience.” Sep 10, 2005 by
Martin from St. Louis, MO
“Very nice room. Nice atrium area. They included no extras what-so-ever. Internet access, which is often free now, was extra. There were even two bottles of water put in the room for "your convinience" but if they are used you are charged $3.50 each.” Apr 26, 2005 by
william t. from st. joseph, mo
“Went to a conference, we had great hospitality rooms, excellent personal rooms, very inexpensive for the class of hotel. Wonderful personnel at the front desk. Nice lobby bar and restaurant. Close to downtown attractions. Would definitely stay there again. Free Parking!!!” Apr 1, 2005 by
Alycia
“This is one of those hotels that looks nice in the lobby, then when you get to the room, you can tell where they skimped on quality. Showers are plastic and moldy, internet not reliable, and didn't even offer travel size conditioner.” Mar 21, 2005 by
Mike T. from Hendersonville
“Do not, I repeat do not eat at the restaurant. Food and service are both horrible. Breakfast buffet is $ 9.25 per person. It is not as good as the free buffet you get at the Holiday Inn Express. Jan 10, 2005 by
Ron from Florissant, MO
“Hotel was great. I would stay again.” Sep 16, 2004 by
“Under massive construction. Will be real nice someday.” Sep 7, 2004 by
Ronald A. from Florissant “The Capital Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City certainly does not qualify as a three star, at least right now. I wish I would have known, but the hotel is undergoing a complete renovation. First, there was no parking (construction crew took up most of the parking). The lobby was a makeshift card table and chairs stuck in a side room. I had to walk through the one-time lobby (which was totally gutted) to get to this room. The entire interior was gutted and dusty. Dry wall was being hung so supplies were everywhere. I'm sure the hotel will be nice (three-star material) once they get it whipped into shape, but it certainly was not three-star material. Also, scaffolding was everywhere. When you pulled your curtain back to see the view, you only saw scaffolding. Fortunately, no one was standing there watching me. A sign at the front desk asked that no one open there curtains because construction crews were working. Again, hardly three stars.”
