• Very clean, friendly staff.
• There was breakfast only.

“The staff was friendly, it was very clean, nice pool. They allowed us early check in which was great, since we had traveled all night. The breakfast was nice, however, we would have liked to have a meal other than just breakfast available there in the hotel. The only thing that we could have delivered was pizza.”

“Hotel served our purposes, nothing fancy. Only drawback is the ability to hear everything from rooms around - people walking, water running, toilets flushing. One of the biggest positives is that the entire facility is non-smoking.”

• Front desk clerk very accomodating
• Very upset when we got their the hot tub was not in operation and this is one reason we booked this hotel

• The staff has been great! I have stayed there 4 weekends in the last 2 months. Continental breakfast, microwaves and refridge. Smoke Free!
• Parking congested.

• Clean rooms, close to lots of shopping/dining.
• No stairs in middle of hotel to access lower/higher levels.

“We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this property. It may not look great from the outside, but the rooms were very clean, well decorated and with plenty of space. Good continental breakfast offered in the morning, and its right next to the Crossroads Mall, so plenty of shopping and dining very nearby. Would stay again!”

• The room was very clean, neat, and felt luxurious because of the carpet and bed linens. The continental breakfast was the absolute best ever!
• Even though there is a no smoking policy, someone on the 2nd floor was smoking both days that we were there.

“It is very nice, clean, and feels very luxurious for the price. The continental breakfast has everything! From real waffles that you make and eat hot to hard boiled eggs. The room feels very clean and posh.”

• Room service interrupted our stay. Stating we were to check out on Friday am and we were to check out on Sunday.

“This was a smoke-free hotel. Did not know that until we got there. The house keeping department interrupted me when I had a do not disturb sign out. She said we were to be departing that day which was Friday, but we were scheduled to be there until Sunday. I thought that the front desk cleared that up for us but when we returned to the hotel Friday night, our key was inactive and we had to go back to front desk to get new key. There was lot of noise that you could hear from next door as well as housekeeping was extremely loud in the morning cleaning hall ways as well as other rooms. I would never stay at this hotel again. Great service!”

• Staff was so friendly and accommodating; complimentary breakfast was very good each morning.
• The only thing that I didn't care for was the location. Not a horrible location but not great, either.

“Fairfield Inn is perfect for families who want to get a very comfortable hotel room without breaking the bank. The room decor is pretty, the common areas are so comfortable and welcoming, and the staff was wonderful! I would definitely stay there again!”

• Staff's proactive attentiveness to details, peaceful, small but had what I wanted, hot tub, great free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free coffee in lobby.
• The chair you sit on for use at the desk has a very short seating area, feel like you are falling off. There is not a great view around hotel.

“This hotel is an excellent hotel. Everything was excellent. It is the first hotel when they learned of issues, went right to action to fix them. I had a fuzzy TV etc. That I felt the next people would want more clearly. I wasn't using it much so I wasn't 'complaining' about it, just wrote me a note to tell management about it because thought they would want to know. Didn't want to 'complain' to front desk. But the housekeeper saw the note and took it to management and got that and a few other things taken care of. I was very impressed and yes, she got a little recompense and a great note written about her delivered to the desk! Breakfast has a nice selection of very healthy options (hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, three kinds of fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges) as well as options to indulge. Waffles, a variety of cute little mini muffins, and some filling hot options. Pancake wrapped around a sausage, and breakfast sandwiches to be heated in microwave. Juices, coffee all the time with flavored creamers. Close driving distance too many great restaurants, including the number 1 rated Chinese restaurant, golden china, Christian bookstore, and the mall. Also, walking distance to a couple restaurants. Subway and burger king. Others are close, also but to get there you have to cross lots of lanes of traffic in areas not made for walking. Also not far from rental car, enterprise. For $45.00 a night for two nights, I was very pleased. The pool was more than adequately supplied with towels, one per chair, plus many on a shelf. No changing area down there, but right near elevator. Nice hot tub as well, comfortable seating. Pool is small but no one else used it but my kids. One side of the hotel does not have parking so unable to park car where I could see it from the room, but parked in lot by street, very well lit area with plenty of traffic. Always felt s.”

• Cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement; there was a roach in the bathroom and bottle cap on the floor.

“I was a little unhappy with this hotel. When I got to the desk and checked in I asked if there were two sleeping options. 2 beds/1 bed and 1 couch to be able to accommodate 2 people and I was told that no special requests could be honored and that was hotel policy. If the other adult you are traveling with is not your spouse it is most likely not someone you want to sleep in the same bed with. The girl at the desk was not at all accommodating and bordered on rude when asked this question.”

• The bath tub was dirty and while you were taking a shower the water backed up so, I took a shower in someone else¿s dirty water. It was grotesque!

• They were doing remodeling when we checked in but everything was cleaned up by breakfast.
• We were not given a choice of a non-smoking room and our room smelled terrible of smoke.

“It was easy to get to, close to shopping, clean and fairly quiet. We were there at the same time as a lot of teen girls softball teams and they put us at one end of the floor so we weren't bothered by a lot of noise.”

• The staff was congenial and the facility was very clean.
• The parking lot was a little small for the number of rooms.

“The staff was friendly and attentive. The facility had the amenities promised and was neat and clean. We had a non-smoking room and it had no smells whatsoever. The bathroom was clean and the room was good sized. The beds were quite comfortable, although some might say they are a little too firm. Overall, we have stayed in Waterloo at a competitors location (right up the street) and found that the Fairfield was a much better choice.”

• I ask for 2 beds in 2 rooms for 8 people and got 2 rooms with 1 king bed per room that was not fair very unhappy

“we paid 2hundred and 80 dollars for 2 rooms and 1 king size bed per room for 8 people I think we should have some of our money back 4 adults per bed”

• Location in "concrete jungle"(although this is true for Waterloo in general). Traffic congestion

“Unfortunately, my bed was terribly uncomfortable, I kept rolling into the dip in the middle. I did appreciate their attempts to improve it and they were somewhat successful. I was otherwise satisfied with the facilities, and the staff was friendly and helpful.”
