• The cleanliness of the rooms and the housekeeping staff service.
• We keep getting booked into a smoking room and we are alergic to smoke.

“This hotel has been keep up well and clean for 27 years. It has a nice swimming pool area and friendly staff. Some of the equipment and the skywalk area needs to be updated. They serve an excellent breakfast that is included with the room.”

• Close to convention center.
• No extra bed for 10 bucks. Small rooms. Pool area badly in need of update. My brother cut his foot on a piece of glass at bottom of pool.

“This hotel is nothing to write home about. It is in need of updates and more helpful staff. It is conveniently located next to the Convention Center which may be the only thing keeping it in business. I was not very impressed. The pool area is like walking back in time. Just a place to sleep which is all we were looking for. No pleasant surprises here.”

• I loved the pool area.

“I really enjoyed my stay. They have a parking garage across the street which is really handy. The help was courteous and the service was good. I loved the pool area. I would stay there again.”

• The pool area and game area was nice entertainment for the kids.
• The cigarette smoke all the way from the lobby to the floors you were staying on.

• Nice downtown location.
• No parking, smoking allowed in public spaces.

“The first impression is the smell of fresh & stale cigarette smoke in the hallways & other enclosed public spaces made me cringe. The hallways smell bad & the hallway ash trays stink especially when you are standing next to the elevators. Their is no parking provided by the hotel so if you are traveling by car expect to feed meters, and hope that one of the patrons of the many seedy adult bars or drinking establishments does not feel like breaking into your car in the late night hours. This hotel should provide security for the cars of their customers. I would probably not stay here again.”

• Rooms were clean and comfortable.
• Swimming pool/spa area needs a maintenance/upgrade.

“Good value for the price. Clean and comfortable. Several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was very quiet maybe 25% full during my midweek stay. Parking was in a parking garage across the street. Staff was very accommodating. I would have liked an exercise facility in the hotel. Overall I was very pleased with the accommodations.”

• Location.
• The rooms were dirty, the toilets were messed up, the AC was leaking, the walkway was burning hot, the building was dirty, the staff was unhelpful

“This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I got in and was given a room in which the toilet didn't work. I went back down and got the room changed and then was given a room in which the AC was leaking. I called to get someone to check it out and no one ever came the whole time I was there. The rooms were dirty, the hallways were dirty. The skywalk to the garage was burning hot because there is no AC in it. The front desk people were unhelpful. Literally, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.”

• Enjoyed the pool and spa area.
• The dark brick interior wall of the room reminded me of prison movies.

“Other than the wall of the room, we enjoyed our stay. The staff members were friendly and efficient, knowledgeable about the area and very accommodating.”

• Was perfect for the area I was trying to be by and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful.
• Hotel restaurant food (ribs dry and over cooked), (crab stuffed mushroom very salty) staff fair.

“For a moderately priced hotel, was very accommodating and friendly. Close to many places off Hwy 218 and had great access. Very comfortable bed also!! The bed in our 3 star hotel the next night was bouncy and not as comfortable. Great price for the money! Thanks!”

• Convenience - Free Parking - Indoor Pool.
• Room was kind of outdated - could use a little remodeling.

“It was a great room! If we had to pay the full price they ask, we would have been pretty disappointed. Worked great for us for the price, and room was good sized for the family.”

• The shower was very good. The beds were comfortable. The staff tried to be helpful.
• Pets should not be allowed in this type of hotel. There was animal feces in the walkway to the hotel. I also picked up fleas in the room.

“This hotel is good value for the money. We had noisy guests on our floor from 12:00 midnight to 2:00 a.m. one night. They were shouting and banging doors. Security finally came and quitted them down. Also an animal had been in our room and I got flea bites. No animals should be allowed in the rooms.”

“Overall the stay at this hotel was good. It served its purpose of giving me a place to stay while out on business. I would not recommend this hotel to leisure travelers as the standards for a vacation are higher. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had. Parking was provided free across the street in a parking garage (nice plus).”

• Close to Lost Island Watermark.
• TV Remote did not work, Pool very cold. No towels at pool. Didn't bring any even after notifying front desk.

“Friendly staff. Clean. Quiet. Organized. Liked HBO Family channel on TV. Pool area a bit disappointing - water too cold, no pool towels available.”

“Hotel was very nice, clean, quiet. Pool was very nice. Parking was close and covered unless you parked on the street. Hotel lobby was very nice. Only bad thing was breakfast was not served and was not included in the price of the hotel. For this price, breakfast should have been included.”

• The staff was wonderful!!!! They fixed a problem with our reservation, opened a drain to look for a lost ring.
• The location was not ideal for our reunion - however, we loved our walk to church and the "upper deck" for lunch.

“This hotel is ideal for the business traveler who wants a downtown location. The reservation area and sofas are dated and dreary - however, the rooms were spotless and clean and the staff was fantastic and helpful. We loved our stay. We took long walks enjoyed the area, and were glad we stayed where we did - although it was 30 minutes from where we spent most of our time with family. That was not your fault - we had some misinformation - but a location map of the surrounding areas is helpful for choosing a better location for us "out of Towner's..”

• We were able to watch the fireworks from our window.
• We do not like having to park in a parking garage. The walk is long if you have large luggage.

“We prefer hotels that are not in the middle of downtown where there is only parking in a garage. This was the second time we stayed there so we knew about the parking. The first time it was horrible trying to check in and then having to move to the garage.”

• I like the space in the room.
• Some staff, swimming pool, food area.

“I like the space in the hotel room, but some staff could have been little bit friendly and the worst part was the pool area and the pool water being very, very cold. They wouldn't warm the water, thus, my family and I didn't enjoy the stay. That was too bad. I hope I will never ever stay there. I am sorry to tell you , but I had a bad experience with them.”
