• Hotel is good for the area compared to others.
• Its retail price is too high. This is a three star hotel.

“Parking in this hotel is a block away. I'd advise parking in the ramp off Broadway and 2nd. This hotel is connected underground with mayo which is very helpful. I was there in summer, but if you are there in the winter/fall this is a big plus.”

• Friendliness of Front Desk and Bellman staff.
• Restaurant food quality. I was quite disappointed.

“Great location for a Mayo Clinic visit. I was a 7 minute walk from my hotel room to the doctor¿s office, all underground without traffic or weather issues. Staff and room were great. Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant was not very good.”

• I was so impressed with the bed. It was the first time I slept so well on a hotel mattress.
• Nothing.

• The room was well appointed.
• The bathroom was too small.

“The hotel had all of the requirements I look for when traveling. Room service, excellent beds and bedding, and a good looking decor. Valet was helpful as well since the ramp was 2 blocks away.”

• It was fantastic! The lobby and rooms were nicely decorated and would appeal to everyone!
• Food & refreshments were a bit pricey; parking was in a ramp about a block away.

“I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The service and staff were terrific. I'd definitely stay there again!”

• The restaurant and no free internet.

“Maid service excellent. Clean friendly staff. No free internet when surrounding hotels supplied it free. Transportation was good. Connected to mayo clinic. Restaurant was over priced for quality of food. Our stay overall was satisfactory and the comfort of the room was great.”

“Was a very nice hotel, and made access to the mayo clinic quite convenient. One thing that I found conspicuously absent was free wifi in rooms. Although this hotel represents itself as upscale, it charges $10/day for internet service. ”

• Poorly marked directions to get from shared parking ramp to hotel.

• It was conveniently located to the mayo clinic.
• Parking cost $10 extra per day.

“The Marriott is very convenient for those who are visiting the mayo clinic. There is a refrigerator in the room, and when we asked about access to a microwave, they offered to bring one to our room. The decor of the room is more contemporary than my taste, but it was a big room and very clean and comfortable. I loved the comfy bedding! The biggest negative to this hotel is the $10-14 a day parking fee. Also, there is no breakfast included in the room price. All in all our stay was very nice, though pricey.”

“We plan on staying there when my next nephew graduates in 2 years. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There are lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance.”

• Parking garage elevator didn't work whole time I was there.

“I went to Mayo clinic for testing. I was told not to do anything strenuous for 24 hours before the test. Unfortunately when I parked in the parking garage the elevator was out of service (all 3 days). I had to carry my suitcase down from the 5th floor. When I checked in it would have been nice of them to tell me that fact so I could have left my luggage and returned to the front desk for it. The sign in the lobby said excuse our dust we are remodeling. Other than that sign I wouldn't have guessed it. The hotel was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised at the Marriott. At one point I lost my driver's license. On check out I mentioned this to the desk clerk and gave him my phone number in case it was turned in. Shortly I received a call saying they had just searched my room but didn't locate my driver's license. WOW I wasn't expecting that. How nice of them to make the special effort to look for it and to make the special effort to call and inform me. This hotel is first class all the way.”

• Not up to 4 star standards.

“The bathroom tub was slow draining such that when you took a shower, you also got a bath. Went up to Rochester for a medical visit. When we were informed that we would not need to stay another day by our doctor at 4 pm, the hotel still charged us half price for the room, even though it was just cleaned and we didn't use the room after it was cleaned.”

• It was located via under ground tunnel to the Mayo clinic.
• Parking was inconvenient. It was not as nice as some Marriott's

“It seemed a little dated. It needs some refurbishing. Otherwise it was a good location and very convenient for my travel purpose, which was an appointment at the Mayo clinic.”

• Location, Location, Location....
• There was a group of children who were very loud running in the hall. Staff was very slow to respond to complaint.

“Good hotel for Rochester. Not sure it should be a four star hotel. Probably more like a 3 star. Overall the best thing about the hotel is its location. If you have to go to the Mayo Clinic it is the best place to stay if you can get a good price. ”
