• Size of rooms and breakfast.

“The workers were very helpful to my wife and I. She had to go to Mayo for tests and I found everyone there very friendly and willing to give a hand to us as we are seniors.”

• Clean facility, friendly staff, wonderful continental breakfast, close to hospitals/clinics.
• Small pool, not enough parking.

“I would recommend this hotel to friends, family and those who are in town for business not needing the amenities of a pool. It is a clean facility and the staff are all very friendly. The continental breakfast is worth looking forward to in the morning with hours of operation that fit most travelers scedules. Overall I am most impressed with this hotel and have stayed a few times here and will return next time I am in town on business.”

• The room was perfect, the people were extremely helpful in every way possible. The location was perfect for the Mayo Clinic area, the price was fair.
• I can't think of one thing!

“The room was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was extremely clean, which is the utmost of importance on my list. We had a newspaper every morning. Wow! The shower drain was backing up a bit but the staff took care of it immediately. The only thing I wish they had was a safe for our valuables. The continental breakfast was a plus. I have never seen hotel carpeting, that was so clean! I'm in the carpet cleaning business so I know. I will positively stay there again and tell all of my traveling friends.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Mattresses in our room needed to be replaced or flipped.

“We were at this hotel for 24 days and had the greatest service of any hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff met our every need with smiling faces and was happy to do so. The breakfast was consistent and hot. We will stay there again.”

• Good quality, clean, convenient location, classy.
• Lady for breakfast, bed was to small, curbs in parking lot was to big, ruined bottom of van.

“Overall it was a very nice place to stay. Very clean although I did find several small spiders on the night stand. The bed was a double. Bed was comfortable for 1 person only. Bathroom was very nice, clean. Office, sitting area was very nice too. Breakfast overall was very good too.”

• Stale air in room.

• Staff very friendly and I loved the cookies in the pm.
• But the hotel was just fine.

“I stayed there for the fact that it was across the street from the hospital that I was going to for my mom. In Rochester where the Mayo Clinic is there are lots of sick people and/or families of sick people and the staff at the hotel where very a tuned to that and were very helping. I would stay here again. It is one of the nicer hotels in Rochester.”

• Convenient to the medical centers.
• Felt the staff could have been friendlier.

“The room was clean and met with my expectations, the fridge could have been cooler as I travel with refrigerated meds. Not sure if it were working up to specs. The staff wasn't rude but nor did they go out of their way to be helpful.”

• It was comfortable and the staff was very friendly.
• Very small parking lot.

“I would stay here again if I had to stay in Rochester. It was comfortable, friendly place. The rooms were large, clean and very comfortable to stay in. The lobby was welcoming and the breakfast wonderful. The staff was just fantastic.”

• I loved the friendly staff. The housekeeping staff was great! The lady who prepares the breakfast in the morning is super friendly and helpful.
• Overall I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The pool looked a little dirty but overall very pleased with everything.

“Loved the hotel staff and location was very convenient for Mayo clinic. The shuttle service was great. I would stay again if we need to travel to Mayo in the future.”

• We had to move the cars for restriping the parking lot and got scolded by the manager of Virgil's.

“Overall I liked the staff and hotel. We had to move the vehicles on Sunday before we went to our meeting and the manager of Virgil's next door was very upset with the hotel.”

• The room was spacious, clean and had all the features I needed including wireless internet access.
• The room had been sprayed with a deodorizer that made my allergies run wild. I would prefer just the smell of clean - no perfume.

“The Springhill Suites Marriott offers a spacious room with facilities to work online at a desk. It is conveniently located. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best I have had when traveling and staying in motels.”

• It was very clean, and had a fitness center.
• The staff was unwilling to accommodate us with a voucher or refund for the nights we would not stay.

“Hotels near the Mayo clinic need to be flexible with changing schedules. We will never stay at that hotel again, because of the poor customer service and unwillingness to accommodate this unusual stressful situation. I drove 8.5 hours to see my son who is terminally ill with cancer, the Mayo Clinic mischeuled his surgery.”

• Pool needed cleaning, and then pool and hot tub closed for cleaning.

• Friendly staff.
• Switched our room to a smaller bed without permission, and no parking.

“Overall the hotel was quite nice, with a great continental breakfast. However due to construction it was difficult to find a parking space in the lot. Upon arrival we were given a room with two twin beds instead of a queen size. The pool was pretty small, and one night out of two it was closed. I would stay at this hotel again, however, I would make it clear that there would be no room changing, and find out if there is going to be construction going on or pool closings.”

• I loved the way the room was designed for a 7 day stay and the bed linens were great.
• I did not like the heater/air conditioner right beside the bed.

“The room was great and we had hoped to stay at the hotel again as we were back in the same town again for 10 days. We hope to stay again at Springhill when we go back in June.”

• Too much outside light came in rooms, need blind of some sort.

“As stated above, appreciated the friendliness of staff, and convenience of surrounding area. Continental breakfast good. Stool had a problem and was immediately fixed. Cookies were yummy.”

• Was right across the street from St. Mary's Hospital.

“It was a good place for us to stay since our son had an appt the next day right across the street from the Hospital. The hotel also let us keep our vehicle in their parking lot the following day until we left that night for home.”

• TV/cable was not good at all-we spent a lot of our stay in our room--only 1 kid¿s channel, no paper TV guide & remotes bad.
