• Was completely remodeled and no smoking.
• Noisy ice machines!

“The hotel personnel were friendly and very efficient. Our room was very clean. It was completely remodeled. No smoking was enforced and a definite plus. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows of all sizes.”

“We were impressed from the moment we entered the hotel. It was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, and elegant. Our check in was flawless and we found the room far exceeded our expectations. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in and we had five of the nicest, fluffiest pillows waiting for us. We never heard a sound all night or early morning, even though the hotel was hosting a wedding. I will definitely be back!”

• Good location to interstate.
• Lobby smelled like cheap fried food place.

“While there is really nothing wrong with it is an older hotel showing some signs of wear. Rooms are large and service was very good. Water saver shower heads mean you have to stay in shower twice as long to rinse off. There was a nice wooded area nearby for walking which was really great.”

• Signage was wrong, hallways were tiny, rooms were tinier!

“This was suppose to be all updated. We found the hotel rooms tiny, the signs for the lounge and other amenities were wrong, leading us to miss activities. We would not stay again!”

• It was very quiet even thought there was a wedding party staying in the hotel.
• Not enough coffee in the lobby.

“Very well located in proximity to MPLS and St. Paul, as well as points east. Was very pleased and satisfied with the general appearance (new looking), cleanliness and very helpful staff. Would stay there again.”

• The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice.
• The fitness room had no water or sanitary clothes to wipe off exercise equipment.

“This is a very nice hotel. It is not located in a great shopping area, but there are malls within 15 to 20 minutes. The rooms are very nice and the workout room and pool are adequate.”

• The rooms were very nice. Comfortable beds, clean, nice decor.
• Outside area was not very pretty, Elevators were getting some work done.

“It was a very nice 3 star hotel. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. It is not the best 3 star I have stayed at and is getting close to a 2.5 star but I would still say that it was a 3 star.”

• A lot better than other hotels that I've stayed at. Definitely this is the hotel to stay at, and for that price, worth it. I would go stay again.
• There wasn't much that I didn't like. Although there was no free water, it was from the machine which u paid $ for. Did get a chance to go into pool.

“This hotel was really good. I was very impressed by the interior. It was beautiful. Didn't have much contact with the hotel workers, but they seemed to be friendly. Also, it was pretty short stayed and we were busy so didn't get a chance to go check out the pool area. Didn't see the fitness room as well. There were no pool tables(?). Other than that, it was pretty good. I would stay again here.”

• The wireless internet was done, but it's not their fault.

• Great breakfast buffet for the money.
• Necessary reconstruction taking place.

“A nice hotel in a decent location. Great staff in both registration and the restaurant. Pool was well kept. Hotel is currently undergoing upgrades so one elevator was shut down making for longer wait times. Unfortunately I was there on a weekend and my room was located only about 2 floors above the nightclub and the noise was an issue to try and get to sleep. If you are on the 4th floor or higher on that end of the hotel (West end). It shouldn't be as much of an issue. They are making pretty good progress on the upgrades so soon that won't likely be an issue. I would definitely stay there again and this was my second time there already.”

• The location.
• Dirty, it smelled, under construction so they said, broken ice machines, etc. etc.

“I would stay their if I was attending a drunken hockey game or convention. Not a romantic place to take your wife. I stay in a lot of hotel while traveling this was not a good experience for my wife and I.”

“It was an excellent motel. Very easy to get to. The Staff was very friendly. They are in the middle of remodeling so hopefully bathrooms will be updated. Shower had chips and needed to be replaced. Overall though it was very nice.”

• The hot tub and spa was not hot and were at the same temperature as the pool.

• The restaurant was loud, stinky and the service was one of the worst ever.

“I did not know there was a pool, hot tub, and work out facility. it is new and not listed as amenities. Bring your suit! its really nice and I would stay here again, but ever eat at the restaurant the waitress asked us for what we wanted to order before we even got water or a menu. No napkins took my plate before I was even done eating! It was pretty bad. Eat somewhere else is my suggestion.”

• Remodeled rooms were very nice, hotel under general construction.
• No workout facilities available during construction.

“This is a decent property located right off the freeway. There is very little around the hotel in terms of restaurants that would be appealing to most people. The remodeled rooms are nice, although still below what I would consider as 3 star as compared to other properties I stay at frequently. I do not eat at hotel restaurants, so I did not sample the food here. The bar was OK at best, not great.”

• The newly renovated rooms were above my expectations for a Holiday Inn.
• The request for a pillow off of the new pillow menu took 1.5 hours and 2 phone calls to fulfill.

“The hotel was easy to get to and the room was exceptionally comfortable. The decor in the common areas was oddly dark and unremarkable, but the in room experience was good. I highly recommend this hotel for business travel.”

• There was no useable pool; We could hear everything on both sides of us and in the halls. There was little privacy.

“We were very disappointed in the hotel. We were away for a relaxing weekend and there was no pool or hot tub, no work out room, they were under construction, as was the whole hotel. It was noisy and we were never notified that the pool and other areas were all under construction. Overall a very disappointing experience.”

“I'm sure it would be great for a business person, but as a family on vacation, it stunk! The breakfast buffet was over before we even woke up, and the pool was not operable. Since we couldn't get a refund, we were steamed. The kids (and we parents) were so looking forward to a nice swim and workout - but no luck!”

• The location was good for our destination and the front desk people were friendly.
• Our "non-smoking" room smelled very strongly of smoke.

“The hotel was ok, much construction going on but they tried hard to make up for that. I was not bothered by the construction but although the room was clean it definitely was not a 3 star experience and the room really smelled like old smoke. New wall paper and bedding just can't cover that up.”

• No one informed us pool closed, we had sad kids.

“The hotel was easy to find between airport and son's school. The rooms were cozy, clean with good service. However no one said the pool was closed. Very disappointing.”
