“Very clean and a great deal for the price. Couldn't swim in the pool because a family was having a party in the pool area. Disappointed, we were looking forward to relaxing by the pool after a long drive. Great location.”

• There was not a continental breakfast present and the computers available for public use were out of order, very inconvenient.

“All in all this was an excellent hotel to stay at, especially regarding the price we got for it. The only major disappointment was the absence of a continental breakfast, which was surprising because comparable hotels have included wonderful continental breakfasts.”

• The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Easy to sleep there.
• The hotel was non-smoking and there were obvious signs of smoking in the stair wells. Also the door really squeaked.

“The hotel was recently updated with very comfortable beds and nice decor. There was a dorm sized fridge in the room which was very helpful. The pool area was perfect for our family except my older son (age 12) had hoped for a bigger pool. We had a nice stay here and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.”

• Tub didn't drain, staff wasn't worried about making it right. Very disappointed in the service here.

“The room was OK for the price, nothing special. I went to get sodas and the machine was sold out on the 5th floor, same on the 4th floor, finally on the 3rd, I got a soda. However, when I pushed Root Beer, I got Sprite, When I pushed water, I got Sprite. Guess they had to get rid of the Sprite. My daughter took a shower in the morning and we ended up with half a foot of water in the tub that wouldn't drain. I skipped the shower. When I checked out the clerk asked how my stay was. I related the problems, no offer of compensation for no shower. He did offer to give me a fountain soda out of the restaurant when I was leaving... No thanks!! Why do they ask how your stay was when they won't do anything? That's more annoying than saying nothing.”

• I liked how comfortable and clean the rooms were. I also liked the fact that there was a swimming pool.
• It was a bit difficult to get to even though you can see it from I-94. There isn't any continental breakfast.

“The room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub and pool area were clean and comfortable. I was charged for something that I never used/received, but I was able to have it taken off my bill upon leaving. There isn't any continental breakfast. There is a fridge in each room, but no microwave. You could bring cereal and milk or snacks. The staff was very helpful and friendly during our stay. Would definitely recommend and come back to this hotel.”

• Newly renovated, easy to get to and close to many other amenities.

“Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Clean and newly renovated. Far exceeded my expectations. However, some of those were outdated. We didn't eat at the restaurant or use the pool; we only slept there. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. I would definitely stay here again”

• Clean, easily accessible to where I needed to go in downtown St. Paul.
• No complaints. The lounge/bar was a little loud when we were in lobby but couldn't hear anything past that.

• Great pool and workout room. The room was nice also.
• Location was questionable (mixed area), no free breakfast.

“The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, overall the room was pretty standard (included mini-fridge). The pool was very nice with hot tub, and the workout room was above average for a hotel. The location was a mixed area so not a very good place for walks, but it was right off the HWY so you could easily access Downtown. They did not offer any free breakfast, but the interest was free (kind of slow). Overall good for the price.”

• When an accident closed the pool on a Friday night, the motel complimented the in-room movies.
• Fans were extremely noisy, but drowned out screaming baby next door.

• The hotel was extremely clean, the staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the hotel was quiet.
• Location is not great for shopping.

“This hotel probably has more business travelers than leisure; therefore, it is a quiet hotel (which was great for sleeping in). It is very well maintained and kept very clean. The staff is very nice. One downfall is that it is a drive to go shopping or to restaurants. All in all we did enjoy our stay.”

• The hotel was very clean and beautiful. The staff was amazing. They were friendly and attentive.
• The restaurant was over priced for what you received.

“Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff. Even thought it was late in the evening, they were interested in how our trip was going and they were quick to get us in our room so we could rest. They were helpful with directions and suggestions. We stayed for 8 days and everyday seemed like it was our first - always fresh! We hope to stay here again very soon!”

“The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was also very easy to get to and close to the state fair. The only draw back was that there was a wedding at the hotel and the brides room was only two doors down and very loud.”

• Could not find the pillows we wanted, but made up for it in other ways.

“Very nice hotel. Nice reception area. Rooms were good sizes, but I think only double beds. Nice plush linens and towels! You could tell it had been updated recently, granite in bathrooms, new fixtures, tub and toilet. Pool itself was on the small side, but had a hot tub and spacious pool area around it. Location was next to a major road so I asked for a room on the parking lot side. It was generally quiet though we did hear some kids running in the halls. We would definitely stay there again.”

“Do not stay here with small children. Hotel staff not equipped or did not care to deal with running in hallways and stairwells, laying on the floors and eating in the common areas or parents who allowed their children to do these things. Pool is very small and shallow. Unruly guests allowed to do cannonballs with small children in pool. People in the bar hanging around outside with their drinks so every morning there would be empty glasses and beer bottles in flower pots not to mention their drunkenness. Saw some bar guests leave in their vehicle with their drinks. Had to notify hotel staff about drunk passed out on the front lawn also. They also have weddings and other parties every weekend making finding a parking spot a real nightmare.”

• The staff watched as I wheeled my son and daughter with luggage and wheel chair in the doors and didn't help as the door shut on us.

“Nice for adults not child friendly in my opinion. There was a helpful gal working when I called to make sure we had a wheel chair accessible room. She switched us without hassle.”

“Comfortable, quiet, well controlled independent warm and cool air conditioning. Easy freeway access but very quiet every time I have stayed. Nice attendants. Clean rooms and carpet. Nice beddings. Just a real good stay at a fair value. Good St. Paul location. We plan to staying often.”

“It was a nice place to stay. The desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the room and it was right on I-94 so if you wanted to drive around town it was convenient, but it's not a great location for walking anywhere (Is there a good location in the twin city?).”

“We were impressed from the moment we entered the hotel. It was clean, beautifully decorated, quiet, and elegant. Our check in was flawless and we found the room far exceeded our expectations. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept in and we had five of the nicest, fluffiest pillows waiting for us. We never heard a sound all night or early morning, even though the hotel was hosting a wedding. I will definitely be back!”

• Lobby smelled like cheap fried food place.

“While there is really nothing wrong with it is an older hotel showing some signs of wear. Rooms are large and service was very good. Water saver shower heads mean you have to stay in shower twice as long to rinse off. There was a nice wooded area nearby for walking which was really great.”
