• The two room suite made it wonderful for us with young children who go to bed early.

“Every Embassy Suites I have stayed in has been wonderful. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms, although older, were nice and clean and comfortable.”

• Comfort.

“Staff not experienced to handle their tasks. Front desk was not concerned with wait time for rooms. They did not offer any solutions just excuses 'We were full last night. Our staff is working as fast as they can. They told us at 3 pm it would 15 to 20 minutes.”

• We liked the two separate room/suite arrangement plus the atrium was fun and attractive.
• One of the concierges seemed to know nothing about the local scene -like a newcomer to the area! Not a good choice for the front desk.

“The lobby/atrium area is especially upbeat and pleasant with the garden and extensive water features. The complimentary hot breakfast was a treat. Room was sparkling clean and attractive, the staff was pleasant and friendly, but the concierge seemed clueless about most aspects of St. Paul, Don't expect help with local transportation assistance or knowledge of the area from the front desk.”

• The ducks in the pond.
• Drunken college kids, parking no hot water, breakfast poor.

“I have stayed at embassy suites many times this one is awful! Old, no parking, bad part of town, I waited until our next hotel to take a shower, no hot water. Fruit at breakfast so bad my 21 year old daughter would not eat. The place was full of drunken college kids. Guys were hitting on my size 2 daughter at dinner; two were drunk in the elevator at 7:30 a.m. and I thought I left my 19 year old son home! He would have Loved the Place! I can not believe it is an embassy suite.”

“Courteous staff fun bar, nice to have adult swim from 10 p.m.-12 p.m., room exceeded my expectations but would have preferred a larger bath. Very clean.”

• The extras that the hotel offered; happy hour with the manager and cooked to order breakfast at no additional cost.

“The hotel was more than expected. It was my first time at an embassy suite and will go back. The staff was friendly and more than willing to offer assistance. The nightly happy hour and cooked to order breakfast at no additional cost, was a big selling factor to me. The only thing I was disappointed about was the parking situation. Their parking lot is small so we needed to use the overflow area, which meant we had to walk and it was cold that weekend. Other than that, expectations were met and then some. I will go back.”

• Our room had an order from smoking, and we had ordered a non smoking room?

“The room had the smell of smoke? Like some one was or had been smoking in that room and it was a nonsmoking room?”

• The common areas were unique; they even had ducks in the indoor pond.
• A bit on the edge of the city, would have preferred something on the other side of town.

“I went for a romantic couple of days in St. Paul. It met my expectations and provided a pleasurable experience. Nothing bad to say really.”

“It was extremely easy to find; staff was very helpful; shuttle to concert was a nice extra. The evening reception and morning brunch were very good. We will stay at this hotel again.”
