• Friendly counter staff.
• It was so noisy, bar down the hall, unsafe.

“I could actually see through the crack in my door, the carpeting and walls out in the hallway. Very noisy. A bar was located about 60 feet down the hallway. Not for me and many others I would suspect.”

• In bad neighborhood, room stunk, loud, they told us to watch our valuables it was horrible.

“Take this one off you list it should be torn down. If you want to let loose and cause trouble that's the place for you.”

• Nice pool/sauna.
• Strange smell.

“The hotel room had a strange smell. There were other regular customers of the hotel that I talked to briefly that were having a loud party. When they were in the pool area, they had alcohol and were being reckless. The hotel staff did not do much to stop this.”

• Staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Hotel was older and at first the room seemed to have a peculiar scent, probably from the rug.

“The hotel was too far away from our attraction at the Ex-Cell Centre.”

• The night time staff guy was a complete dick. He threatened to throw me out for someone else making noise. He's lucky he still has his teeth.

“The staff were a bunch of jerks. I will never go back. The doors all slam, and make tons of noise all day and night. it is not updated. Too much money for the quality. There are plenty of nicer places in the area to stay. Oh, by the way, we walked down the block to eat at subway, and were threatened by bums. This neighborhood was terrible. My car was vandalized also in the hotel parking lot. Do not stay here with women and small children. The crack heads in the neighborhood will just harass them.”

• It was in a good location. It was close to where we wanted to go.
• The walls were paper thin and the staff weren't very nice. We went to a concert and got yelled at when we walked in the hotel.

“We also got yelled at for going to our room at 2 am after we had gone out and the hotel security came and screamed at us and we were not even being loud. I've stayed in Days Inn's before and it was the same thing. paper thin walls. Wouldn't stay there again by choice.”

• Decent location, easy to find.
• Only 2 electrical outlets in room, all full of plugs.

“This was a barely adequate, economy style hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful with me, but were complaining and swearing among themselves about the management as I stood nearby. The restaurant was not open promptly at 7 a.m. for breakfast, and the bad smell in the hall outside was so gross that I left and found breakfast elsewhere instead of waiting. Room was comfortable, but only had 2 electrical outlets, both of which were full of plugs so I had to unplug a lamp to plug in my computer and cell phone. The TV was plugged into an outlet that operated with the switch by the door, so I turned it off when I turned off the light. Bathroom was clean and so was the room.”

• New beds and AC Unit.
• Pool to warm.

“I needed to be in the Twin Cities and was really surprised how clean the hotel was. The pool area was great. The beds spread AC unit and window in our room were brand new. The restaurant was reasonable for breakfast. No continental breakfast, but still a good value.”

• The staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful.
• I could hear all the slamming of doors on my floor and above me. Loud.

“I was tentative about the Days inn midway since it got bad reviews. However, it turned out to be a very pleasant, convenient stay! The staff was always "on it" and even helped me devise an easier way to get to the airport. I also really liked that they provide water & coffee all day, every day (I drink a lot of water). The rooms were old & worn, but basically clean, which is all you can really ask for in a budget motel.”

• It had poor access, dingy accommodation and was no bargain.

“The hotel I ended up with was not located in the area I wanted. I would have been better off booking directly. At least I would have known exactly what I was getting into. I believe I could have found better at this same price.”

• Convenient location.
• Noisy all night and no one put a stop to it.

“The hotel was good for the price. We did not get much sleep as about 2am a group of motorcyclists drove and made excessive noise not only with their cycles, but stood outside and talked loudly for about another hour. The hotel did nothing to quiet them down.”

• Building sagging, cracks in walls, doors with gaps.

“They need to inspect this building for safety's sake. One side of the building is sagging, cracking the walls down one side. The bathroom was well appointed and the room staff was friendly. The room was either cooking or freezing- thermostat swung wildly.”

• Was close to where I needed to go.
• The Hotel was very hot and the A.C. did not work and the place was not very clean.

“The place in General was not a very nice place. This place was scary and I would never recommend it to anyone. And this is the most money I stayed at a place in Downtown Chicago that was very Nice and was less money than the Days Inn Midaw in St. Paul. I will never go back to this place. Like I said I have never had a problem before but now I wonder if I have just been getting lucky to not have gotten a place like this before.”

• I like the outside access right into the room.
• Very noisy at night. Could hear people above making noise.

“I noticed on the door that the room rate originally is $135.00. I would never have paid full price for this room. $74.00 was appropriate. Never really walked around the pool area, etc., so cannot comment.”

• The beds were very uncomfortable.

“For the price the hotel was not bad. Overall, the hotel was clean, but no frills. The downfall are the beds, I thought they were very uncomfortable.”
