• Location.
• Smelly.

“Had to open the windows in the room. It had a very strong dirty smell. You know, like mopping the floor with a dirty mop smell. Hard to explain, but it wasn't pleasant.”

• The staff was cheerful and efficient. The hotel was comfortable and restful in spite of being near the airport.
• There was nothing to dislike. We fully enjoyed our stay.

“We arrived late in the day and were met with cheerful, helpful staff. Our room was comfortable, very clean as were the hallways, breakfast facility and swimming pool. The breakfast selection was great. It was nice to arrive back each day to a refreshed room with clean sheets and towels. Loved the close proximity to MOA. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.”

• Finding entrance a little challenging.

• Bed was too hard; mattress pad/sheets moved around.

“Hotel was great location near Mall of America, right off I-494; easy access to lots of locations. Service was excellent. Bed was very hard (too hard for me, but my husband slept fine).”

• Small bathroom with door swinging inward, severely bruised my back.

• The continental breakfast was more than I expected, nice variety.
• There wasn't an ice machine on our floor nor snack vending machine, had to go to lobby. Wasn't bad but it would have been nice.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel in the future. The staff, from the shuttle drivers to the desk clerks as well as housekeeping was courteous and helpful. The hotel is less than 5 minute from the Mall of America (point of our trip) and about 10 minute from the airport. Free breakfast, free shuttles, clean environment, really comfy pillows what more could you ask for.”

• The location is ideal for shopping at the Mall of America.
• We had to listen to planes landing and taking off most of the night.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn. The continental breakfast was great, although it was very busy. The rooms were clean. The attendant at the front desk was very accommodating and even found coupons for us to use at the mall.”

• Very clean and comfortable excellent location for our doings.
• Parking a little tight for larger vehicle like ours.

“Recommend hotel for anybody staying in Minn. that wants to go to MOA and also close to Tran to go to ballgames.”

• The bed was comfortable and the room was attractive.
• Vending machine items prices' are outrageous and not near gas stations or food places beside the mall.

“Overall, the hotel was nice and clean. The continental breakfast was actually quite large and really good. It is located so close to the Mall of America that is provides convenience.”

• The location was great.
• Fire alarm went off at 10 p.m. for a minute.

“The location was great, walking distance to the Mall of America. The room was clean, the 32" LCD TV was excellent. We found the parking lot confusing to get into. We could see the hotel but could not get to it and ended up going the wrong way down a one way to get to where we were going. Other than that the stay was good.”

• Enjoyed it all. Everyone was so friendly!
• The roll-a-way bed was the worst! Slept on floor instead!

“From the time we arrived to the time we left, the stay was so enjoyable! My kids loved the pools, the make your own breakfast and the fluffy beds. I asked for a fridge, it was in the room in a hour. I needed a roll-a-way bed that too came quick; however, it was the worst bed ever! The bars under the so called mattress were thicker that the mattress it self! That is the only thing that was not up to par.”

• The overall space of the room was nice, and the pool area and breakfast were both descent.
• I felt like the bathroom was cramped, the door got in the way, also the sound of the airplanes woke me up every morning.

“The layout was nice; we enjoyed having the microwave and refrigerator available. The bedding was nice, mainly my only two complaints would be that the bathrooms seemed very cramped, and the noise level of the air planes constantly going over head.”

• Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the hot tub after walking all day at mall of America.
• We are highly upset they charged us again for the room after I already said it was paid for causing and overdraft charge on our checking acct.

“The hotel was nice; our room was like staying in a small closet with no room to move. There needs to be better communication between it and the hotel/motel to avoid things like this from happening and costing the customer.”

• Nice decorating in rooms.
• Toilets that don't work and customer service apathy.

“Hotel itself has nice decor and is pretty clean. Must share two elevators with each and every cleaning cart, garbage can and staff member so expect to wait five minutes to get up/down stairs because they give no priority to you? Continental breakfast is good, but no table space so must eat in room. Problem areas: non-functioning toilet (that obviously had not been functioning before we got there as there was no water pressure). Arrived late and were already for bed when realized toilet problem so didn't call maintenance as we were checking out early anyway. When went to leave, told desk staff of the inconvenience. They never even apologized - just said, 'oh, ok, thanks for telling us' but didn't write it down, and didn't act like they were surprised. ”
