• Room was clean, but old and small.
• Front desk staff was very unfriendly, do not recommend Hotel to none smokers and seniors.

“I would never recommend this Hotel to anybody else. The front desk person was extremely rude to my daughter on the phone, and would not work with us to get a non-smoking room with 2 double bed. We had contacted him 2 times, and each one of the times he had the same rude behavior. We had to contact Best Western 800 number and put a complain. Then I spoke with the Manager at the Hotel, and she finally agreed to give a non-smoking room with 2 beds. I was about look for another Hotel that night.”

• Was a neat hotel with a historic nature.
• Overall i was pleased with the hotel.

“Overall I was pleased with the hotel. The staff at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfast area was small but still nice with good complimentary breakfast.”

• Hot tub was nice after a long trip. Nice staff.
• Room was small and not much of a breakfast.

A bit overpriced for small room. The hot tube was a great treat after long trip.”

• The clerk was very helpful with directions and suggesting a nice pub to grab a bit and a brew.
• Even as smokers we thought the smoking room had a stale cigarette smell, we usually smoke outside.

“I thought it was a nice stay for the price and I would stay there again.”

• Rooms a little small. One gentleman at lobby counter was a little rude.

• The staff was very friendly and helped us with our problems.
• The room was very small.

“We were happy with our stay. The staff was very helpful. My daughter got a cut on her leg from the room and the staff provided us with some stuff to take care of it. The room was very clean and cute but very small. I would not recommend for a long stay but just for overnight it was perfect.”

• Housekeeping tried to barge in without knocking.

“I really enjoyed my stay! The room was very comfy and clean and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly! Will definitely stay there again if Im in the area!”

• Newly upgraded made up for being small.
• Parking was a little awkward.

• Dirty bathrooms, different room than paid for, hair in towels.

• Enjoyed the Route 66 memorabilia and the old time signs.
• No night light. Left the bathroom light on all night.

• The location and friendliness of the staff.
• The bath tub in the room showed mildew stains, the general room was clean however there was a mustiness smell which was remedied when the ac was run.

“This hotel is conveniently located in Springfield to the university which is important for me. The room was comfortable, however the shower/tub showed signs of mildew.”

• The decorations! The retro 50's look was excellent/ The mirrored dressing room with chandelier was lovely!
• There were some very small ants in the room, but they did not bother me.

“Excellent location. Great 50's Route 66 look and experience. I loved the photos of the hotel before renovation and the mirrored dressing room with chandelier. The free breakfast was very good for the price level of the hotel. It was quiet and clean. The pool being open 24 hours is a big plus for short trips. I was very impressed!”

• Retro ambiance was nice; good price; microwave and do player were unexpected plus.
• I wish I would have known of the above amentias in advance and planned accordingly.

“This hotel nicely provides the basic services one expects when traveling on business, with a few extras. Convenient location for Springfield. The retro motif is nice for someone my age (tail end of the baby boom). I don't know whether kids would relate as well.”

• The room had a very nice decor, old world theme and it felt relaxing.
• No in door pool.

• Jacuzzi tub, hot tub & pool, hair dryer, coffee pot, quiet.
• Parking was cramped.

“Very clean room with amenities for a great price. The parking lot for our particular building was cramped and the roof needed new shingles, but the other buildings that were more visible to the road looked to be in good repair. I was very satisfied.”
