• In hotel restaurant is a bit pricey.

• Great atmosphere, very comfortable and very nice. A little ritzy in a good way as well as a great location.
• The food was very expensive, but I just treated myself to a great meal.

“I really liked the room because it was just what I needed as far as the desk and internet. The bed was so amazingly comfortable! I was surrounded in down. A great sleep on a cloud. The restaurant was expensive but it had a nice bar area. If you want to walk outside you can find a number of great restaurants, but I didn't want to walk around too much since it was pretty cold. It has a great location and the staffs were very helpful and professional. I enjoyed my stay very much.”

• Very efficient at the front desk.
• The maid couldn't see the don't disturb sign and knocked loudly two separate times until we answered the door, ridiculous.

“The hotel was really great with the exception of the stupid maid who wanted to get her rooms done ASAP that day. Very rude! It was great until she knocked very early and then again. The sign was clearly hung out on the door. As a relaxing night out it was not great to be woken so many times and so early! That put a cloud over my entire experience!”

• Excellent customer service and comfortable beds.
• No pool/hot tub (free).

“Very clean, comfortable rooms and excellent customer service. The staff helped with city directions and restaurant suggestions. The little extras like fruit infused water in the lobby and apples in the workout room were welcomed bonuses. I would definitely stay at the depot again.”

• Beautifully designed rooms, comfortable beds, and impressive upscale interiors.
• A few too many guests there to party. We had to move to a different room.

• I loved the hi-tech rooms.
• That the hot tub was in the same area as the water park.

“This hotel was great. Definitely exceeded my expectations. In a great location close to a lot of nearby attractions. The rooms have a great feel to them and also have electronics to hook in your ipod to play over the TV. I really enjoyed my stay.”

• Very clean all around. Staff is professional and friendly.
• The water park was not open. No access to hot tub either.

“Wonderful stay. Wonderful staff. Fun and unique hotel with the depot theme. Close to so many attractions. Room was clean, quiet, and very cozy. Loved the darkening blinds so I could sleep in a little past sunrise. Certainly would stay there again!”

• Nice in-room amenities, very clean and new.
• There was a food charge from the gift shop on the bill that was not mine.

“This hotel is located in a former train depot in the Washington Avenue mill district of Minneapolis. It is very convenient to the Metrodome Stadium, and to other business and pleasure attractions in the city. It has an indoor water park and a classy restaurant.”

• The service at this hotel was amazing, and everyone was attentive, helpful, and when I realized that I needed another night, they gave me a huge discount.
• No free wireless internet.

“The hotel was beautiful, beds were amazingly comfortable, the staff were incredibly helpful and polite, and the location of the hotel itself (right near the warehouse district) was unbeatable.”

• Older style of rooms and furniture. We felt as if we were in home.
• Parking prices are high for people staying there.

“We enjoyed our short stay, and would recommend it to friends. We hope to stay there again in the near future. Very comfortable rooms, not big, but big enough. Very relaxing.”

• The bedding was quite lovely; we found it difficult to come up with reasons to get up.
• The sink/vanity being apart from the rest of the bathroom seems pointless.

“This hotel really has something for everyone. Families were quite busy with the water park, there were plenty of places to sit and relax near a lovely fireplace, the bar area was very open and accessible, as was the restaurant. Everything is convenient and people were making use of the free internet access in the lobby. The historic Milwaukee road railroad station theme is great. An interesting history lesson for young and old.”

• Things were not crowed which made for a leisurely stay, the hotel had a great amenity package and the staff was helpful and polite.
• The hotel was firm on not offering two double beds when I called and asked, said that they could only offer the double and pullout package.

“A great historic recap of the former Milwaukee Road Terminal, which added a lot of interest to the stay. Very well located downtown with a nice offering of amenities. Parking was $14.00 extra a night but had a very good access to the hotel. All and all very pleased.”

• Style, decoration, looks, bar ,restaurant-great place.
• Too many high school kids that day but they were good.

“A beautiful place to stay and enjoy a piece of history in the old Depot building. There is a water park, ice skating rink, and swimming pool located within the depot. It is tastefully decorated and combines historic patterns and pictures with contemporary statuary throughout.”

• I liked the way they preserved a historical site within the hotel.
• Our room was very noisy from inside and outside.

• Clean, decorated nicely, quiet, coffee pot available, very good bed and pillows.
• Although there was a restaurant available for breakfast, I do appreciate the breakfast buffets that are available at many places, included in the price.

“This hotel was easy to find, close to downtown which we wanted. It was close to the Interstate, room was clean, bed was comfortable and room decorated nicely. We used the underground heated parking which was also nice.”

• Hotel staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate me at every request. Location of the hotel provided walking distance to my scheduled activities.
• Everything about the hotel was great. Nothing that I can think of that I was not happy about.

“Hotel location (downtown near the Metro dome) was perfect for me. I thought the water park and ice skating rink attached to the hotel was really neat. I am making plans to take another trip to Minneapolis this winter (this time with my family). I will definitely be staying at Courtyard by Marriott.”

• Poor directions to parking, and room.

“There was dried food on the bedspread. The directions to the parking lot were confusing and there were no signs indicating that the parking lot was for the Marriot Courtyard. When in the parking lot there were no signs indicating were to re-enter the hotel. The attendant in the parking lot cubical were very unfriendly and not very helpful.”

• Pool is closed 4 out of 7 days a week every week.

“The Depot location was very nice, it is centrally located, and the building has a lot of character. The rooms are a good size, and very clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. The only complaint that I have is that the pool area is not open during the week. All in all it was a very good experience and I would be quick to return.”

• The front desk staff were extremely helpful on where to park my oversized vehicle. They gave me lots of attention in the midst of a huge wedding.
• Having to pay to park- but I do realize it's a downtown hotel.

“The atmosphere at the hotel was over-the-top friendly. We enjoyed the bar in the courtyard and camaraderie with other guests; we were taken by surprise about the staff's helping us celebrate our anniversary with complimentary snacks, wine, and a card. This is the second time we have stayed here, and we LOVE IT!”

“I loved it and will definatly stay there again. This hotel was the biggest bargin!!! The rooms were great and very clean. It was at the very end of the Nicollett mall (where we planned to spend time) so it required a bit of walking, but this hotel was definatly worth it!!!!! A welcoming, warm, beautiful hotel to go back to at the end of the day.”

“I was placed in a very clean room with feather pillows. The best part was that the facility was quiet. Even though all rooms were full, I could not hear noise from any other part of the building. THAT is what I call service.”
