• Not a family friendly hotel.

“My husband, 3 children and I were on a vacation trip, and were put in a room with only 1 queen bed. When we requested extra blankets and pillows so that the kids could sleep in the floor we were told that they did not have these, because the hotel was full. After some time, I was able to get 1 blanket 1 pillow and a sheet. There was no soap or shampoo in the room and the room smelled funny. I would not stay at this hotel again.”

• Location.
• Weren't very friendly.

“I was under the impression the room had 2 queen size beds, but it did not. When we tried to upgrade, we were told there were none available. He said we could add a rollaway bed, but I really don't know where it could have gone. My son ended up sleeping out in our van. The room was clean, the location excellent (we were able to walk to dinner and our show which was wonderful as traffic was terrible). I felt like the staff could have been friendlier and tried to work with us.”

“I checked in and found I had been give a room with 1 bed. When I asked the clerk for a room with 2 bed she advice it would be a $10 per night upgrade for a total of $30 dollars. I feel this was a greed play either on the part of this property or choice hotels as the property was virtually half empty during my stay. Econo lodge would have made more off of me by switching my room at no charge because I would have continued to use the priceline system and would have continued to received the Econo Lodge Branson.”

• Friendly cleaning staff.
• The owner was rude.

“I will never stay at this hotel again. The owner was rude and wouldn't change our room to the ground floor unless we paid $10 extra (plus tax) per night. I was traveling with someone who just had knee surgery and couldn't climb three flights of stairs. No elevator! I don't think he understands the American's with Disabilities Act. He also informed me that he didn't want me to stay at his hotel and told me to contact Priceline to get my money back. When I contacted Priceline, I was told that they couldn't make any changes and when I checked into the hotel, the staff was surprised to see that the owner had already billed Priceline for my room even though I hadn't even checked in yet.”

• The location.
• Sheets were not changed, when asked.

“No towel rack by in sink area. Bed was of average comfort. Pills were on sheets. Needs more mirrors for dressing. Close location to shows. Breakfast was ok.”

• It was convenient to the traffic relief routes.
• The smell of my room made my stomach upset.

“The staff was friendly and the room was clean to appearance, but it smelled awful. It was a mixture of air fresheners, cleaners, smoke (in a non-smoking room), and a general dirty smell. It was cheap.

• The outward part of the lodge was clean and the room was clean.
• The room was extremely musty even with running the airconditioning.

“The room had a smell very musty and moldy. I have a lung and heart condition and it really aggravated the condition. It was clean in appearance but that was all. The desk personnel were very curt and rude.

• The location was excellent.
• Hard beds and thin, rough-feeling towels and washcloths.

“Overall the hotel was just okay; continental breakfast was sufficient. The mattresses definitely need to replaced; they were beyond firm, to absolutely hard. My husband and I had backaches every morning and never did get a good night's sleep. Also, it is way past time to replace the towels and washcloths. They were thin and to the point that even fabric softeners would do no good. Until the above items are upgraded. I wouldn't give this Econolodge more than 1-1/2 stars. I would not stay in this motel again.”

“Front desk service was slow to respond (no one was there when we got there and we had to call from the front desk phone several times before we got an answer). The room met our needs and was comfortable. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice, but the pool was cold and it's August!”

• The staff was nice and took good enough care of the facilities.
• The game room consisted of 2 unplugged arcade games in a small closet of a space.

“The staff at the hotel did a great job of cleaning my room. The grounds were well maintained. There had been an accident at the pool earlier in the day, before I checked in, and the staff handled everything with the utmost care and consideration for those involved and other guests. However, there remained a cloud over that part of my vacation - at no fault of the hotel.”

• It was a smoking room, door didn't close, no extra blankets or pillows.

“I absolutely hated this hotel! We got stuck with the smallest room at the hotel. We had a queen bed for 2 adults and 2 kids! My two kids had to sleep on the floor and they didn't give us extra blankets or pillows! I had to go to Walmart to buy pillows and then towels to use for the pool. It was a stinky, smoking room. The door to the room wouldn't close, in fact it was open when we got there. We had to keep slamming it to get it to close! Then, we barricaded it with a table to make sure no one came in while we were sleeping. They offered to get us air mattresses at Walmart after I complained the second time and then rent them to us, but still there wouldn't be pillows or blankets. The room was tiny, the bathroom was tiny and it was a crowded night's sleep as one of our sons ended up sleeping with us while the other used the bedspread to sleep on the floor. That left the three of us with a flimsy blanket and short sheet. What a letdown.”

“We had a very comfortable over-night stay at this Motel. The swimming pool was clean and all guests seemed to enjoy! The Continental Breakfast was very good!”

• The room we had was out of the main traffic area.
• 5 minutes after late arrival we were accused by staff by phone of being too noisy. Day three of our 6 day stay our room wasn't cleaned.

“This hotel was a bad experience. The staff was rude and the hotel smelled musty. There were roaches in the room. The room was not cleaned one day and when we returned and called for towels we were told to come to lobby and get some. The staff called us 5 minutes after our late arrival and complained we were too noisy.”

• Only drawback was that the pool supposed to be open until 11 but ran us out 30 minutes early, unacceptable.

“The reviews are right on: very hard bed (bring your own pillow top). Thought I could sleep on it without problems but after 1st night I was ready to go up the ST to Comfort Inn. However, the staff was very accommodating and brought in a foam topper for us. The Jacuzzi tub was extremely slow draining. After a shower there was about 3" of water standing & took about 10 min to drain. Showers are very good: excellent water pressure, and always hot water. Good value; however, after being there, I'd spend a bit more $ for a softer bed. It really is that hard.”

“The hotel is in a great location. Rooms were just ok pretty normal. Hotel was very clean. It was very loud you could hear everything going on outside of the room which made me a little nervous at times. The staff was not friendly at all which would make me think twice about going back. Overall it was ok pretty much what you would expect from a 2 star hotel.”

• Off the beaten path! Near restaurants and nice, clean hotel.
• Sat night and only 1 person on desk! No rollaway available.

“Nice, clean hotel; off the main highway in Branson which was a plus not having to fight the astronomical traffic jams! Was not happy that they did not offer roll always, and desk clerk had been in Branson only 6 months; did not know location at all, and caused us to go a mile or two out of our way to locate their hotel.”

• Small breakfast- very little to choose from, room was exceptionally tiny, pool was freezing cold in June.

“This hotel should not be rated with 2 stars. The pool was freezing cold in June (almost July), the breakfast was very minimal- hardly anything to choose from and the rooms were really small. There were two beds and you couldn't even walk beside one of the beds because they had a table and two chairs they'd tried to shove in the small room. It was very cramped. Everything was clean, but it was old and outdated. Not a place I would expect for 2 stars and not somewhere I'd want to stay again.”

• Hotel corrected the check-in problem but not until next day!
• An hour check-in, hotel agreed elderly parents will be next to my room. But rooms were on different floors and opposite sides of building!

• Extremely clean, quiet, friendly, and really good location. What's not to like? Oh, and the price was excellent too!
• Nothing really.

“This hotel was clean, neat, updated, easy to find and park. The continental breakfast was adequate. The front desk has hair driers and irons with boards, if you need them. In fact the staff will gladly help you any way they can. I would stay in this hotel again even at twice the price!”
