• Great location & lots of character,
  good free breakfast.
• $14 / day to park.

“My only real complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! This is a nice place in a great location. Try it!”

• Extras such as a full kitchen (fridge, micro, stovetop, dishwasher, dishes).
• Parking cost $14/night, a lot for a quick overnight stay. No wireless Internet?.

“Overall I had a great experience. The hotel was very clean and the decor was pleasing. The extras such as the full kitchen was a nice surprise along with a small balcony. The hotel was easy to find and the staff was very nice & knowledgeable about the area when we asked for directions to a destination.”

• Downtown.
• I dont feel that you should have to pay for parking when you are a guest at their hotel.

“The hotel was in a good location primarily. We were excited about the upgrade and went and had a beer at the bar there and it took 15 minutes for the bartender to show up. When we got to our room it was not an upgrade at all! The studio I stayed in at the same hotel in April was awesome and thats what made me want to return but to be disappointed. Overall, it was pretty clean and a good stay.”

• Comfortable, ok. Location, dining and bars were in walking distance.
• Queen size beds only, like King or doubles.

“Comfortable, clean, good parking, close to many activities and dining locations. For persons who can walk it is 8-12 blocks to many fine dining choices and all the action in the Hennepin Ave. area.”

• Full-sized refrigerator, separate sitting are.
• Pool costs extra; only open Th-Su; happy hour didn't happen.

“This is an excellent location for events at the HHH Metrodome. Nearby restaurants are pricey for the rent district. Minneapolis Eagle, down the street, is a bar for alternative lifestyles. The pool is actually a mini waterpark that costs an extra fee to enter, whether you're a guest at the hotel or not, only open Thursdays after 3pm. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 3pm. The hotel served as housing for many construction workers from out-of-town for new stadium, bridge and other Downtown projects.”

• The rooms are super comfortable and it's great to wake up to a decent free breakfast - I'll be back.
• The food in the hotel snack shop is quite overpriced.

• Ideal location and easy to get to if you are spending time in downtown Minneapolis.

“Would stay here again when going to the Twin Cities. Rooms have all been completely remodel and are very nice rooms. Spacious and clean. Very friendly staff and helpful. Excellent facilities.”

• Location is not quite in the center of Downtown.

• The location is a bit far from actual Downtown.

“Excellent option if you need an extended stay hotel. Fully equipped kitchens in the rooms with full size refrigerator. There's a full free breakfast and nightly reception with wine and food. Room service available from the other more expensive hotel in the same building. I liked this hotel very much.”

• Excellent for the price.
• Location is only good if you want to be next to the river; if you need to be downtown, the location is not so great.

“For the price, the Residence Inn at the Depot cannot be beat. The staff was EXCELLENT. Breakfast each morning great, clean room, comfy bed, and the little kitchen is a nice bonus. If you travel a lot, then you know these places. This is the lower frills sister to the Renaissance (Courtyard) which you can walk to via rear parking lot, rather than all the way around the block. It's almost right on the river, which is a beautifully restored warehouse area. And it's only a few [long] blocks from the Government Center light rail stop, so getting to/from airport or Mall of America (not my cup of tea) is super quick, nice & convenient and only costs [one way] $1.50 off peak, or $2.00 peak. Location's BIG downside: to get to the light rail or walk towards downtown, you have to walk through the district.”

• Great location, large room.
• There was an extra charge for pool (10usd) and for parking (14usd).

“All and all this hotel was fantastic. We received a large room that included a kitchen and full fridge. Building location could not have been better we were within walking distance of many of our destinations, and when we needed to drive it was easy to get in and out of the area especially with directions printed on cards by front desk. Like mentioned above the only draw back we found was the extra charge to use the pool, and the fairly expensive rate for parking.”

• Hotel was overbooked and gave us a small room -can¿t below.

“The hotel was very busy. No waitress or server in the bar/lounge - had to go up to the bar to order a drink. When coming back to the room after our evening out, temperature was extremely hot so we had to open a window. I think the hotel was listed as a two and half star - I don't think so!”

• The payment for parking was too expensive. 14 dollars a night.

• The room was a suite and it was beautiful. It was close to everything and parking was reasonable, as well.
• I have nothing negative to say.

• Inconvenient fitness center location. Registered for two beds but got one bed and sofa.

“When I registered on line, I registered for two beds. The room I got was one bed and a sofa bed. When I registered, I was given a choice. I should've gotten two beds. There was a booming base music noise near our room. We think it came from a bar in the hotel. Not pleasant.”

“The hotel was in a good location. The staff was very friendly. They were replacing the carpet which is needed as there were cigarette burns in the carpet and the hallways had mattresses and old carpet remnants (not very presentable) but the lobby and cleanliness of the hotel room was great. I like the fireplace and full kitchen.”

“I stay at the hotel frequently due to business and have recently found that their customer service has somewhat slackened in the past month. The general manager does not appear to be very competent in dealing with customer issues and seems to smile a lot to your face when she does not know how to truly fix a problem. Members of the front desk staff are very pleasant to deal with, and it seems that they have recently hired a extremely nice front desk supervisor. Overall, cleanliness of the rooms vary by room location. Those rooms closest to the watermark at the hotel are very aged and those furthest away seem in decent condition. ”

• They had a hard time at the front desk figuring out that the did not need to charge us for the room.

“Excellent.....the only problem we had was that they where going to double charge us for the rooms if we would not have caught it. Very friendly at the registration counter though.”

• We really enjoyed the fire place and having a kitchen available
• They had a coffee pot and bottled water set out so we assumed they were complimentary. After we had enjoyed the H20 we found out they were charging us.

• I loved the style of the rooms done in a studio style and the continental breakfast with a full menu.
• The location was a little far from downtown but still in walking distance.

“I loved this hotel. When I first booked it I was afraid that it might be a dump. When I checked in I could tell that I was wrong. the rooms are set up for extended stay with a kitchen and a living room, not just the mini fridge and a chair. This room was really nice and it also had a fire place. I would rate it higher than 2 1/2 stars. It also had a great continental breakfast with pancakes waffles eggs muffins and much more! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• They had a quiet policy, that was very much appreciated. They have a marvelous complimentary breakfast. Marvelous pillows. Rooms are wonderful.
• I really can't think of anything that we didn't enjoy. It is a great facility for families, and yet very accomadating for others as well.

“We arrived on a friday afternoon. We had received directions to the hotel when we made our reservations and they were very accurate. This was wonderful. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomadating. They have a quiet policy that we loved, especially since there was a sporting event taking place the entire weekend that had brought many people to the area. The rooms are marvelous and clean and convenient. Everything you might need was available to you. We will definately return to this hotel for future stays. ”
