“Started with being asked to stay in a suite with 3 roll away beds. No "real" beds in the room. Ended up having to stay in a smoking room.”

• The lobby, restaurants and common areas were nicely renovated.
• The room was old and smelled like mildew.

“The hotel had a big convention going on which it seemed to handle very well. It was very conveniently located downtown and easy to get to. It was big and very nicely decorated. Our room was a bit small, it could of used a chair. The cable TV was very poor, with very few channel choices. Our stay was very nice and we were pleased with the price.”

• The staff was very friendly and polite. Location was ideal and very close to everything. Facility was very clean.
• Beds could have been bigger otherwise everything was almost perfect.

• Expensive parking at $12/day, very expensive room service charges.

“Very nice hotel, excellent for shopping trips to Minneapolis. Clean, quiet, top notch rooms with all the amenities you could want. Only negatives are the parking at $12/day.”

• The hotel person said she was under no obligation to accommodate me.

“Although we had a rough start with the reservation people to request 2 double beds, when we checked in everyone was extremely helpful and courteous.”

• When we left we forgot some things and the staff was most helpful in locating it and storing it for us until we returned.
• We had to pay for parking which you think in a 4-Star hotel would be taken care of.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel was convenient to all downtown venues. They had a wonderful bar, made excellent drinks and served good pizza for a late night snack. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. Some updating is needed in regard to video products. Flat screen is the way to go these days.”

• The concierge service was amazing.

“The service was amazing. It was our 22nd anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Thank you Mpls Hilton. You really blessed us. My husband was going in to the Mayo Clinic for Cancer treatment the next week and we had such a good stay at the Hilton that it uplifted our spirits to not even think about our upcoming challenges. Thanks!”

• The beds were very comfortable.

“Very nice and friendly. The building outside of the hotel was decrepit and falling apart. It was an eyesore to look at every morning when I got out of be! The service was very good and fast.”

• Excellent choice of soap products.
• Did not have up to date T.V. or coffee maker.They charged for bottled water. The refrigarator was trashy looking.

“Over all the hotel was ok. It did not seem to be what I expected as an "HILTON" hotel. I could have stayed in a motel 8 and recieved the same or better service. Nothing [such as free bottled water or update appliances or chocolate on the pillows] made them special to me. Reguardless of the price I wanted to feel as if my family was special. I did not come away with that feeling.”

“I thought this hotel did its job for what we needed. It was in a great location, we needed to stay Downtown. It was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and the Starbucks was conveniently in the lobby. I didn't appreciate that fact that parking was expensive, and the food in the hotel was very expensive (in my opinion).”

• The staff, concierge were extremely helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable and great location!
• No fan in the bathroom, AC was just a little bit loud, no complimentary internet/breakfast, in-room movie almost $13!

“I can't say enough compliments to the staff. They were all very accommodating and friendly. The concierge really went above and beyond to help. My friend get his id/credit cards before his flight - he was at the airport and didn't have time to come back to the hotel. The lobby is really beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. Especially the beds, with the down comforters and pillows. We fell asleep the moments our heads hit the beds! This was a great hotel, especially for the price.”

• The staff were friendly, it was beautiful, family friendly, and just what I expect from a Hilton.
• The hot tub was a little too deep. (I'm 5' 7" and had to sit on my feet.).

“Our family enjoyed ourselves at this hotel. We used the hotel valet at $22 a day. We ate at the hotel and were treated very well even our children were well attended to. (This is not always the case, some wait staff at other businesses have overlooked our children's needs). Despite a too deep hot tub and having to pay for wireless access, we will go back the next time we are in town.”

• This hotel is close to Downtown, and the lobby is very nice.
• The staff was rude. I was actually helping other guests at hotel. Elevators were VERY slow.

“. I would've taken the stairs but I was on the 8th floor with luggage. The staff is not helpful; I was helping other guests because the staff was ignoring them. Used to live in Minneapolis, so I was helping the other guests figure out how to get around town. This hotel needs a new staff really bad.”
