• Locations
• The hotel was not very clean.

“Good location but this hotel is not very upscale. The halls were littered and when we arrived at our room, we were greeted by the previous occupants used room services dishes. The room was not cleaned very thoroughly and there was used floss in the bathroom drawer. The TV was a nice HD but was not very responsive and had a blue line in the display.”

• Outstanding service and location to enjoy Minneapolis.

“This was our second time at the downtown Hilton. We upgraded both times to the club level and we impressed both times with the value and service. The hotel is in a great location to walk and enjoy the downtown area. We hope to return on our next trip to the Cities to the Hilton.”

• Great price, excellent value.
• Parking fees.

“I planned to stay one night in Mpls. and only needed a clean room with a low price,nothing fancy. This was a very nice change from the budget hotels that compared in price. The parking charge would of been a deal killer if I had drove, but I didn't have a car and did not have to pay $13 or $27 to park.”

• The lobby was nice.
• No free Wi-Fi, no complimentary breakfast, and extra for everything.

“A motel 6 masquerading as a Hilton, my humble apologies to motel 6. The lobby is nice. The Hilton doesn't offer free Wi-Fi in the rooms or anywhere in the building. You have to pay over 12 bucks to check your email. Even in the business center in the lobby, you can't freely log on. One cannot put their wallet away once at the hotel. You have to pay for parking, no less than 13 dollars. And forget about any sort of complimentary breakfast. Not even complimentary toast is available. This upscale establishment leaves such a lowly duty to the likes of Super 8 and other lesser names. On the 19th floor, I found the hallway carpet was dated and needed to be vacuumed. And then the room was plain and small. One of the lamps beside the bed had a goofy switch that I had to wrestle with in the middle of the night. The tub was in need of a good scrub with Clorox, and there was a bottle of water sitting by the sink which cost $3 bucks, if consumed.”

“The Motel was great but they held money off my debit card which i wouldn't get back for up to ten days. Then we got charged $87.00 for room service which was charged to the room after we had checked out. We won't get the money back in our account for approx 10 days.”

“It is a very beautiful hotel. The lobby is so elegant! The elevators are fast and they have plenty of them. The hallways are nice and bright.I wish I would have had more time so I could have used the beautiful swimming pool and hot tub and exercise room!”

• The whole attitude of the place!
• We could only stay there one night.

“Perfect location for Orchestra Hall. Everything sparkling clean. Staff totally courteous in all respects, helpful, eager, alert, accommodating. Lovely lobby. Fast elevators.Close parking. Good food. What's left? It's all great!”

“Sound deadening was below average for the room I was given. Beds were well used, and due for replacement. Great staff. Stainless steel pool and hot tub. Nice fitness area. Changing area/shower in fitness area.”

“When you walk into the lobby you certainly feel like you're in a four-star hotel, but when you get to the room, it's a definetely three star hotel. Not a bad experience, but not four-star. Housekeeping clearly rushes through without paying attention to the details that you would expect at a four star.”

• Everything was perfect, staff and facilities!
• System the TV uses is extremely slow to respond. Very frustrating!

“We will go back. Beautiful, very comfortable bed and wife loved the huge pool on second floor, fitness room was well equipped. The Doormen/bellhop were extremely friendly and helpful, a great precursor for a wonderful stay. Was on the 22 floor with an excellent view of the east. Walking distance to anything you want. Or use the skyway tram.”

  extremely comfortable. Lots of pillows and nice blankets.
• It's not directly on the main strip of shopping and restaurants. Only a couple extra blocks to walk though.

“This is such a beautiful hotel! We were met by friendly staff who were armed with great information about the city. Our room was smaller than I had thought, but it really was all we needed, and the beds were very comfortable! Don't complain about the charge for parking, we found that this was actually very reasonable for the area, and the extra (optional) valet charge was worth every penny. The hotel's location was perfect for us-right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. Don't be afraid to try the public transportation - for very little $ you can go to the Mall of America - or anywhere in the cities. Basically we just walked everywhere with no problems. I loved this hotel and will absolutely stay there when we return to Minneapolis in April. Outstanding friendly service!”

• The front desk staff was very helpful, as was the bellman.

“Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Front desk help was very friendly and helped us get rooms close together and offered connecting rooms. The bellman was very funny and actually offered to get us ice and showed us how to work the heat controller. This should happen, but doesn't actually happen often so it was a welcome surprise for us! Rooms were well appointed, smallish bathrooms but very clean. Location was fantastic as we were in town to see the lighted parade and could have watched from our windows!”

• The hotel was close to shopping, restaurants and the rooms were great! We had an amazing view of the city from our room.
• The housekeeper came into room after knocking but, only waited 15seconds. She then dropped off sheets and left.

“The Hilton lobby was grand, especially during the holidays. The hotel front desk staff was very helpful and friendly and the rooms were great with comfy beds and pillows (important to me). The location was perfect if you want to shop and dine. We only had to walk 2 blocks to dinner (Zelos...excellent) and 1 block to breakfast.”

• I liked the updated hotel rooms and that I could walk to shopping and restaurants.
• I didn't like the food at the restaurant, and it was overpriced.

• $12.50 for parking. Parking was under the building & easy.

“We stayed at this hotel on a very busy Friday night. Obviously the hotel was sold out. When I checked in, the young lady at the front desk told me that they only had a smoking room available. I told her that my wife would 'freak' when she found that out. The young lady immediately found us a premium room on the top floor to put us in. When we opened the door to the room, we were greeted to a huge picture window view of Minneapolis at night! The room was clean and comfortable.”

• Everything was top notch.

“Very nice lobby and access from parking structure. Pool was nice as was the whirl pool. Downtown within easy walking distance. Room was very attractive, and bed was wonderful, halls and rooms were quiet. Restaurant and bar had interesting food choices. A very good overall experience, no complaints.”

“Aside from the dirty floors in room & hall, the hotel is beautiful. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Location is right in heart of Minneapolis so it's close to everything a person needs. One thing I didn't like is that they charge you for everything, not one complimentary item in building. Room was plain, but very quiet. Very good bed too. Overall a good stay, just wish the room was clean when we checked in and that the hall ever got cleaned.”

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It had recently been renovated and everything seemed nice, but it just did not feel quite like a 4 star hotel. However, for the price we were extremely happy with the hotel and would have no problems staying there again.”
