“The time spent in the hotel was quite comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. My husband and I traveled with mountain bikes which the doorman stored locked in his closet at the main entry for anytime access! A travel-size fridge was made available for our convenience and brought to our room. The staff promptly moved us to a room (with an incredible downtown view) when I requested if we could have a room that included a bath tub. Wireless internet is available free on the spacious, comfortably and beautifully accommodated 5th floor lobby. The only downside to our stay was that the parking lot was a bit of a walk to get to from our room and certainly not the most convenient if we needed to get our car from the parking lot to the main entrance. From guest rooms, one must first travel to the 5th floor lobby and then take a second set of elevators to the skyway/main entrance. One must then walk (indoors) the equivalent of a city block to take another set of elevators to the parking garage. If traveling to the front entrance, one must drive 10 blocks (due to one way traffic) from the parking garage to the hotel entrance. Spending extra to have our car valet parked would have been worth the money to save us some time. Parking aside, the location of the hotel is convenient. Great restaurants, entertainment, and shopping is within blocks, that one may not need to drive anywhere and find walking (within a convenient skyway system) the best mode of transportation.” Jul 7, 2008 by

Shawn from Fond Du Lac, WI
“This hotel is awesome. It makes you feel rich. The beds are so comfy and cushy. The room was so clean very inviting. High end everything. I also enjoyed the bath and body works soaps, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I would come here again in a heart beat.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Bud from Sioux Falls, SD
“Great hotel. Great location. Great staff.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Susan from Roseville, MN
“Downtown location very convenient to Nicollet Mall and block E. Friendly staff, beautiful room. No pool, which was a bit disappointing, but we probably would not have had time to go in it anyway. Didn't try any of the restaurants or bars.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Rob from Ankeny, IA
“Very clean, beautiful and updated room and hotel. Also located in an ideal spot, the heart of Minneapolis.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Lee from Montevideo, MN
“Good location and access to downtown attractions. Comfortable, quiet room. Difficult access from parking ramp. Must go down to street level, walk a fair distance, then take elevator up to 5th floor lobby, weird.” May 30, 2008 by
Jan from Sioux Falls, SD
“The Minneapolis Marriot is a beautiful hotel. We were very happy to be put in a lovely, large room with great city views in two directions. Top notch for cleanliness, comfort and service. The hotel is very convenient to shopping and downtown restaurants. The only down side is the inconvenient ramp parking. Valet parking is an option, however.” May 21, 2008 by
Sue from Seattle, WA
“This hotel has small but attractive rooms, great beds and pillows. I usually bring my own pillow because hotel pillows are too firm, but I didn't need mine! Internet access charge is high but there is free use of computers in the lobby and a computer dedicated to printing out your boarding pass. Great gym also. Was in Minneapolis to see family so didn't use other amenities, but the price was so good it made it worth staying Downtown!” May 15, 2008 by
Lovey from Sioux Falls, SD

“The remodel of this Marriot turned out well. It is a great improvement and really brought it up to date. The workout facility is nice but a little small. I will stay here again if possible.” May 11, 2008 by

“Helpful staff with great amenities for the business person. The room can double as an office and the lounge area is very comfortable and easy to use for business.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Matt from St Paul, MN
“The hotel security let someone into my room without my consent while I was in the room sleeping. When I complained about this they saw nothing wrong with it. Not happy at all about it either.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Jesse from Eagan, MN
“Great hotel. The staff at the hotel upgraded my room to a "bi-level" penthouse suite. It was very nice. The room service food was alright.” Apr 10, 2008 by
Chuck from Preston, MN
“Excellent hotel. Clean environment, friendly and accommodating staff. Luxuriously comfortable bed. Excellent view of the city. Convenient to Block E and Hennepin Avenue activities.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Vicky from Fairmont, MN
“The renovation they did on the hotel is very nice. I love the location because it is close to all the activity and everything is within walking distance.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Jason from Iowa City, IA
“The Marriot Bloomington is a standard hotel with the amenities that one would expect at a business-level accommodation. There is nothing that stands out as superb and nothing that stands out as inadequate. There appears to be an allowance of non-standard guests frequenting the pool area after 9 pm, most likely the staff and their friends and family. The hotel should put a stop to that if they do not wish to see their star rating fall below that of a 2, relegating them to the ranks of a Super 8 or Motel 6.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Eileen from Monona, WI
“Check-in was smooth. We requested & were given a room with 2 double beds. The room was adequate size with a great view, great windows, and a nice size closet. Beds were very clean and comfortable with 4 pillows and a feather top mattress. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location is very convenient to Nicollet shopping and Downtown activities.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Colin from Sioux City, IA
“Unimpressed with room size.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Nancy from Duluth, MN
“Excellent hotel for the price would recommend it to all.” Mar 21, 2008 by

“The Hotel was fine. Mpls needs to get rid of the panhandlers and loud kids if the want people go to block E & downtown.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Andrew from Laguna Niguel, CA
“Same as above.” Mar 11, 2008 by

“A clean, beautiful hotel within walking distance to everything in downtown Minneapolis.” Mar 7, 2008 by
Christine from New Franken, WI
“The location and staff were great! Lots of entertainment, food, and shopping within walking distance. The staff treated us like we were the only guests at the hotel; the concierge was eager to help with cabs, events, and dinner reservations. Staff also accommodated our request for a king room and we were given a large suite! Excellent customer service and we'll definitely return.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Lisa from Loyal, WI
“Excellent service. Nice rooms with very comfortable beds.” Feb 29, 2008 by
Deborah from Mitchell, SD
“We stayed for our 35th anniversary. It was very comfortable for the price. The room service breakfast was great! Loved the Bath & Body works products in bathroom. We enjoyed being close to shopping, restaurants and the movie theater. We would have liked to have a fridge in the room.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Rachael from Sioux Falls, SD
“Wish I had taken my bags in the front entrance while my husband parked our car as the hike from the parking garage to the hotel is a fairly long one (I think it took us 5-10 minutes to get from our car to our room). Aside from that, the hotel was very nice. Everything was very clean and although our only encounters with staff were at check-in and once when room service was delivered, both were pleasant. The bedding is luxurious and the furnishings and decor are beautiful.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Hilary from Mpls, MN
“Good, clean and semi quiet.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Kirsten from St. Anthony, MN
“Nice location. Nice rooms. Clean. Does not have a hot tub (odd for a 4 star hotel).” Feb 28, 2008 by
Tracey from Le Roy, MN
“This hotel is attached to the downtown mall which is convenient for shopping. The bedding and beds were very nice and high quality. Room was very clean and well decorated. Five elevators which are very quick. Bellman will fetch you a cab which are already waiting outside of the hotel which makes transportation easy.” Feb 27, 2008 by
Mark from Fort Lauderdale, FL
“My only great complaint of this hotel is staying on the 27th floor everytime I went down to the lobby to leave, the elevator stopped on numerous floors (7 times on one trip down). Very time consuming. Otherwise, rooms and views are great and comfortable - spacious!” Feb 27, 2008 by
Melody from Baxter, MN
“Wanting a romantic getaway for our 22nd anniversary, we found this to be a location we would not choose again, as the parking ramp was very inconvenient to drag luggage through city center to the hotel elevators, then up to the next level of elevators, and then yet another set of elevators to get to our room. The room we had was comfortable, but quite small, and no refrigerator in a 4 star hotel was very surprising, and disappointing. The bedding was plush, but the mattress was quite too firm for a really restful night's sleep. On the positive side, every staff member we spoke with or had contact with, down to the hotel maintenance engineer was extremely friendly and politely helpful, which really salvaged our weekend. We will not return to the Downtown Marriott for a romantic getaway.” Feb 26, 2008 by
Terry from Hanover, MN
“Hotel is fine it is the way I booked it that was a problem.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 26, 2008 by

“My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott city center. The hotel has been beautifully redecorated and the check in staff was very friendly and helpful. He was quick to tell us about the discounted parking and provided the needed paper work for our departure the next day. Our room was beautiful with a wonderful west/sunset view of MSP. The bedding was heavenly. Beautifully decorated very soft sheets and overall extremely inviting. The hotel is located in the heart (walking distance) to the Theater District, Target Center, shopping and numerous great restaurants. The concierge was able to get us a table at a very popular restaurant (something I wasn't able to do by just calling the restaurant) and then surprised us with a complementary appetizer! All of the staff we had contact with made sure we felt like we were the only ones staying there and acknowledged us as we walked by. I can't say enough about the Marriott City Center and looking forward to my next stay there.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Ken from Crystal Falls, MI
“I was impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff even though I had gotten such a good deal on the room. My family was very happy with the hotel.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Kay from Spencer, IA
“This hotel had excellent quality bedding, great pillows. Room service prices were reasonable. Did not have a pool, making it less likeable for families. Parking prices almost wipe out the savings you get on the room.” Feb 19, 2008 by
Holly from Plymouth, MN
“Newly remodeled and well appointed. The pictures in the rooms were of local scenes. Wasn't very quiet as there seemed to be lots of teenagers running around for a dance competition - would have been nice to have them all the same floors and not with other guests. Work-out room was also nice.” Feb 15, 2008 by
David from Mequon, WI
“It's a great hotel in Downtown Minneapolis with very comfortable rooms. The bar and restaurant are perfect for casual drinking and dining.” Feb 10, 2008 by
Jamie from Clear Lake, IA
“I loved the location of the hotel. It was by every place I needed to go. The only complaint I have is that there was no direct way to our room. We had to go through the parking garage connected to the Convention Center, take an elevator to the lobby on the 5th floor. After that elevator to a completely different one to go to our room. It wasn't very convenient.” Feb 10, 2008 by
Bill from Fort Myers, FL
“1) Although connected to the skyways you need to take 3 elevators not convenient. 2) No room safes and no safe boxes available at front desk! 3) Rooms are smaller than others of this class in maples 4) Wireless access pricing 5) Staff ok.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Aaron from Ames, IA
“Nicely situated in Downtown Minneapolis. Accessible to just about anything. We were able to walk to restaurants and bars in the area. Stayed on the 31st floor with a fantastic view. The suite had two floors and a huge, comfy bed. This was more than I expected.” Jan 31, 2008 by
Martha from Dubuque, IA
“Beautifully redecorated. Very helpful staff.” Jan 31, 2008 by

“Nice place to stay if you want downtown and very close to the action. Sports, dinning, plays, night life. the window views are great.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Vi from Steinbach, MB CA
“The staff, other than the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We liked the location as we could walk to shopping areas and to restaurants. Would definitely stay there again.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Pat from Rochester, MN
“The hotel staff was very polite and helpful, however, we had to allow a valet help us up the elevator with our bags and we had to have some from the concierge area accompany us to our room. The hotel is located downtown and amidst a tangle of one-way streets. The parking ramp did not adjoin the hotel but was connected by skyway. The hotel was clean, modern and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was adequate but not as fancy as I had hoped. The bar area is urban chic but separated from the check-in area by a couple of half-walls. There were complimentary glassware and toiletries in the room. The TV had many on-screen menus and was difficult to navigate. I was disappointed there was no pool or whirlpool. The workout room is top notch. There are saunas located in each locker room adjoining the workout area. I was provided with a parking voucher for the ramp.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 30, 2008 by
