• The warm cookie was excellent. Nice large room.
• No swimming pool, no continental breakfast or coffee.

“We were traveling for football at the Dome. 12 block easy walk to the Metrodome. Nice size room except bathroom small. No pool or breakfast and pricey parking. Attached Starbucks is nice. Satisfied with stay. If staying longer with the kids would have had to gotten a motel with a pool though.”

• Cleanliness and helpful staff.
• Coordination with attached municipal ramp. We were given a pass to exit the ramp, but needed a code since the ramp was unattended when we left .

“We enjoyed our stay. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful when we inadvertently ordered a movie when we were just trying to see how the TV worked. The room was clean. The decorating has been updated since we stayed there a few years ago. The restaurant served a great breakfast.”

“The location is great. The room looked tired. The surcharge for parking was steep,($15) but okay considering that it was downtown. However other surcharges were unreasonable. ex. use of internet - $10, bottle of water in room - $5.”

• The hotel was very clean and the staff was

“We traveled in a party of 9 people to a wedding. The personal at the hotel were very helpful in giving directions to the various places we needed to go. It was very clean and I would stay there again if ever in Minneapolis.”

• We enjoyed the location as we were attending a play at the Orpheum Theater. It was convenient to walk to from the hotel. The staff was very nice.

• The location of the hotel is optimal. The service was great.

“If you want to drive little or not at all and still have many entertainment, dining, and shopping options, this hotel is perfect. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

“The motel was in a nice location. The room was way smaller. It was too expensive for that type of room. When asking for extra towels, housekeeper made me feel like it was such a hassle for them when the towels were right there on cart.

• Was able to get an alternative parking.
• I don't smoke. My wife and I had to stay in a smoking room. There was even cigars in an un-emptied ashtray.

• Could hear party very clearly in room next door while trying to sleep, had a parking fee tagged on per room.

• Lack of "quiet floor" means putting up with noisy late night guests.

“Convenient downtown Minneapolis location next to convention center. Friendly staff, good amenities. In warmer seasons, pack your bike and leave the car parked in the ramp. 10 minutes by bike to the Greenway, a bike/walk-only path which connects you to all sorts of spots in the city and beyond. Lower floors could be a bit noisy from the street, my upper floor was very quiet.”

• The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious.
• I can't think of any negatives as we even had free parking on the street.

• Located right by the Brit Pub, great place.
• Interiors were outdated. WiFi in rooms was additional charge.

“Friendly staff, but outdated interiors. Room corridors are dingy. This hotel could benefit from making it's high speed internet connection free in the rooms; this is especially attractive for business travelers. A good hotel if you do not intend to spend time in your room; beds were comfortable enough and clean.”

• There was a $15 parking charge that was not explained to us in advance.

“The location was great with many nice restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were also very nice; many with a great view. The only issue we had was a $15 parking fee that showed up on our bill with no prior notice or explanation that there would be a parking fee.”

“Just off Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis, the Doubletree is convenient to a number of great pubs and restaurants yet is enough out of the way to be quiet. Perfect for romantic getaways or business travelers who need to get work done while they relax. The staff is friendly and the hotel is attractive.”

• They charged for parking in their ramp.

• There were stains in the rooms and the room was set up a little odd.

• Proximity to Downtown attractions.
• Elevators were slow or out of order.

“This hotel had very comfortable rooms, but they were at times hard to access as the hotel only had 3 elevators and two seemed to be out of order or running very slowly. This was a great place to stay to be close to all the Downtown attractions in Minneapolis. Definitely in walking distance of many restaurants and theaters. I would stay here again!”

• It was a suite with great coffee.
• There was a dirty wash cloth in shower and room was older!

“Fine location and nice front desk guy. Parking was not free and our car topper almost hit the ceiling in the parking ramp! Beds were comfortable and OK for one night.”

• The bed was very comfortable and the hotel location was excellent.
• The whirlpool tub was quite gross. It obviously had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time.
