“Tired, needs the once over to really be a Hyatt Regency, the staff at the front desk was very good, very pleasant and helpful, the staff in the sports bar / restaurant terrible, not as well located for the heart of the business district as competing hotels.”

• The location was okay. It's close to a few things, but it's really hard to get to.
• The main entrance, the staff, and the towels.

“The main entrance is hard to get to if you are not familiar with the area. Also, the walls are very thin and so are the towels. My room was okay, but not a 4 star. I believe they put all their money into the lobby area. The staff was very rude and they seemed unwilling to help me. It's an okay place to stay if you just need a place to lay your head. It's a step up from sleeping in your car. Which reminds me the parking fee is crazy.”

• Great location.
• Bathroom sink area was only separate from the room by a half wall.

“Great location, and a nice lobby. The parking garage was a long way from the elevator to get to rooms. The rooms were nice, but the bathroom sink area was only separated from the beds/main room by a half wall. This was annoying. If someone went to use the sink area, they turned on the light an the whole entire room was lit up. This was not good if some one was still in bed.”

• The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is in a very safe area.
• I got put right next to the elevator on the 24th floor. It was NOISY!

“Overall I had a good experience here. The elevator noise was a bit much at night trying to sleep and there were a lot of people talking loudly till the wee hours of the morning getting on and off the elevators. But the hotel itself was very nice and the staff was great.”

• There is a park behind the hotel and the room layout was nice.
• Not that you care or will do anything about it, but the customer service, restaurant, and noise in the room to say the least.

• The location was very good. The view from the 20th floor was terrific.
• Outdated pool area. Distance to parking. Computers outdated.

“The Hyatt Minneapolis is ideally located. It is close to many restaurants and shopping venues. However, the furnishings are somewhat outdated.”

• The location is great.
• The rooms are getting dated, pool area is poor and there's extra charges for everything.

“This hotel is in a great location for downtown shopping and partying. The hotel is lobby area is clean and grand. The rooms and pool area are dated. There is a new renovated gym/spa area, but there is a daily charge to use it. There's a charge for internet/parking and just about everything else.”

• Other guests were loud and walls were thin. Internet and parking were too expensive.

“The room was nice, cleaned, and restocked well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The parking was too expensive, and I refused to pay for internet. The walls were thin and I had some late-night, loud neighbors next door.”

• Familiar brand with predictable amenities.
• Property looked dated and needs remodel.

“I like the Hyatt brand, and the amenities are predictable and comforting. The property itself was built some time ago, and it could definitely use some refurbishment in the public space as well as the guest rooms. For example, new furnishings and a modern flat screen type television in the guest rooms would be a huge improvement. However, in the final analysis, the room was clean and comfortable, and the service was good.”

• Very convenient location.
• In the evening the cold water faucet wasn't cold.

“The Hyatt was very elegant. It catered to conventions and had several restaurants. It is located on Nicollet Mall and is very near downtown restaurants and a concert area. Without the good price through Priceline we probably wouldn't stay there.”

• Good location, clean and elegant. Well staffed.
• Maze-like layout in the common areas was very annoying.

“Nice hotel. I've come to expect that $100 hotels provide internet access in the rooms for free but the expensive hotels charge a fee. This hotel took it a step farther by charging a fee for my computer and a fee for my son's computer. Charging $13 twice a day is really a gouge when one is already paying a premium for a high end room.”

“We tried to check in early as most places allow this if a room is available. I was traveling with my daughter and son in law. The person who checked me in said there were no rooms available but they were checking in my daughter until he got the look from the person checking me in who said there were no clean rooms. I left and came back and twenty minutes later they were checking in people.”

• High quality accommodations.
• Distance to Meterodome.

“This visit surpassed all of my expectations. The price was excellent via Priceline, the room was wonderful. Due to high occupancy, I could not get a double, therefore housekeeping delivered 2 roll aways, free of charge. The hotel's website stated that the pool was closed, but it was not.”

• location, cleanliness, stayed there many times.
• Sometimes the view stinks. This time I was next to the pool, and would prefer a window

“Never talked to an employee other than at the bar.Don't need to to check in now or to check out. I am not sure that this is a positive, it commoditizes the business in my opinion. Service levels are what set one apart from another, can't rate that if there was no interaction.”

• Too many conference goers, not enough computers in business center.

“The business center only had one working computer. When I inquired at the front desk about the 2nd computer being broken, the attendant rudely stated "There's nothing I can do about it!" Regarding the room itself, the TV was an older model (not flat screen), the lighting in the bathroom was terrible, and the shampoo was awful. The linens were about the only acceptable part of the room.”

• Moved in a rollaway bed for the grown child who was traveling with my wife and me.
• We were charged $17 for 24 hour parking.

• Fantastic room that was well laid out.
