• Lobby gives the upscale experience.
• Bath towel had a stain on it. Air quality or something irritated my throat.

“I have stayed at this Hyatt twice. My daughter (with me the 1st time) and I felt something--perhaps the air quality or feather pillows--irritated our eyes and throat. My husband was not bothered by this.”

• The friendly staff members.
• The cleanliness and the quality of the sheets in our room-our room was smaller and different than other rooms at the same hotel.

“We weren't happy about the $17.00 additional fee to the parking ramp. The staff members told us that we should be a little worried about parking our car out on the street.”

• The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
• There was no whirlpool accessible unless you paid an extra fee at the spa.

“It was a wonderful location. We enjoyed being Downtown Minneapolis. The bed was very comfortable. The accommodations were nice; we were disappointed in the pool/whirlpool, although the pool was nice and warm.”

“The Hyatt Downtown Minneapolis was a great weekend getaway for us, making the night in the city special. The bed was really comfortable, and the spacious room was great. We enjoyed walking a short block to our favorite happy hour restaurant, and playing in the heated (really heated!) pool afterwards. Our view was less than desirable (just looked out at the parking ramp) but we really didn't stay for the view. Friendly staff, great experience!”

“Great location, within walking distance of everything Downtown. We even walked to the light rail and road it to the Mall of America. Didn't move the car all weekend. Beautiful hotel, we would love to stay there again.”

“If you want to stay in downtown Minneapolis, this is your place. You have a variety of bars and restaurants in the hotel and within walking distance. The entire property is very clean and the staff is very polite and accommodating.”

“This is a typical aged hotel in a Downtown area. The area seems nice around the hotel. Sad that the big chains still charge for internet. Wish it was free. Rooms are typical for an aging hotel. Not the most brightly light hallways, but felt safe.”

• They allowed us to check in at 10:00 a.m., the beds were very comfortable rooms were clean, and the staff was very accommodating.
• The restaurants were a bit over priced, and $3:00 for a toothbrush was a bit much.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location was great. Staff very accommodating, rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. The bars and restaurants were a bit over priced, but that's to be expected.”

• The bathrooms were very tiny and in need of updating.

“The hotel was nice, but you had to pay extra to use the gym. And the internet was not free. The rooms were decent, but I didn't feel it was 4-star quality. For what you pay per night, a few more amenities could have been included such as free internet. The pool was very small also.”

“Pleasant hotel. Would have preferred a three star closer to the Downtown core - hotel is on the fringe of Downtown. Things are showing a bit of wear. Really just an average hotel. Clean, comfortable bed. Weird bathroom had three quarter height wall opening into sleeping area.”

“The Hyatt was a pretty good hotel. It was very extravagant and clean. The room wasn't mind blowing but it as still very nice. Internet was $10 for 24 hours and was very slow.”

• Lovely and comfortable bedding and variety of pillows!
• It smelled like someone had dropped a bottle of men's cologne outside our room.

“The help was courteous and helpful in navigating us to good restaurants in the area. The rooms were nicely sized and we had a great view. It was a very comfortable stay. We especially liked the variety of pillows and down comforters on the bed. Very good mattresses too.”

• The downtown location is wonderful, the rooms and staff are above average.
• Cost of beverages in the lobby shop and parking are expensive.

“When we checked into the hotel we found out that parking was not included (another $17 per day!). We were further aggravated when we got to our room to find chewed gum on the lamps-clearly no one really spent time cleaning the room (I was a little concerned to see what I'd find in the sheets!).”

• The towels were nice and soft.
• Although the towels were nice and soft there were not enough in the room.

“Parking for the hotel was a little bit confusing, there was not a sign showing where to park so we guessed and luckily it was correct. I believe that parking for hotel patrons should be free, we had to pay for our overnight parking on top of the hotel stay. So that was a major downside. The lobby was very elegant and spacious, the staff was very courteous, they were able to easily look up my information without any troubles at all so that was nice. Our original room had a two beds, and the gentleman asked if we would rather have a king, which is what we wanted in the first place, so we were happy that he asked us that. Our room was very nice and open. The only thing missing was a fridge to store stuff in. We ordered room service and our sandwich arrived in a timely manner. It was very good. The whole experience was great, with just a few bumps in the road.”

• It is too far from sports arena and concert area to walk.

“The put us in a one of tree connected rooms. Our was a wet bar room with the bed that folds up into the wall. It wasn't too bad but a small bed. The view was great from a top floor. Overall it was a good experience for what we paid.”
