• Great modern rooms with Plasma TV and great bathroom.

“The hotel is an excellent place for anyone looking to stay near the airport. It has shuttle service but its located in a quieter neighborhood which allows for a great night sleep. The restaurant on-site is excellent and provides room service at a small additional charge- this is ideal for business travelers. The hotel has a pool and jacuzzi which makes relaxing after a long day very easy.”

• Attractive room.
• Construction and the elevators.

“We weren't aware that the hotel was undergoing a major remodeling and that the pool, lobby, and parking lots were either not able to be used or a bit inconvenient. It wouldn't keep me from staying there again.”

• The staff was courteous and very friendly. An A plus for all.
• A major renovation is currently underway at this hotel yet, it services are great

“As previously stated, this hotel is undergoing a major renovation process of which I am told will be completed in early June of 2009. I would recommend this hotel to all of my business partners whenever they are in the vicinity of Bloomington.”

• Friendly staff.
• No microwaves or fridges in room and very small bathrooms.

“The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly/helpful. This is an older hotel and needs to be renovated very soon. The bathrooms were small and there were no microwaves or fridges in the rooms (note: the hotel has fridges that they will bring up to your room but there is a limited amount). With small children these things are needed. The actual room was a very good size for a family of four.”

• Dirty, filthy, grimy, stains everywhere, dead bugs in light fixtures.

“I would not recommend this hotel. If you must stay there please remember to wear your shoes at all times. If you do stay there may I recommend you do so at Halloween as you this place is scary.”

• Front desk staff were awesome.
• Following 2 complaints the bathtub still did not drain properly.

“The hotel met its purpose as far as accommodating our sleeping purposes. Otherwise we did not use any of the facilities, except for breakfast one time in the restaurant which was just okay.”

• They put us in the room that was the further away from the front door and we had to get a 5 am transport to the airport.

• The bedding and linens were nice and the towels were thick, large and fresh looking.
• The lobby, lack of curb appeal, old grungy sink.

“It would not take much to make the outside a little more appealing. A couple of large planters filled with flowers and fixing up the lobby would go along way. The room, while small, would have made a fairly good impression with the nice bedding. The bathroom had very nice towels, the curved curtain rod and nice shower head but the horrible old sink ruined everything. Looks like they forgot some important details in their attempt to update.”

• I appreciate the shuttle to the mall. The beds were comfortable with great pillows and friendly service.
• Ants crawling around the hot tub, loose pebbles around the pool. Free kids meals with exceptions should be noted.

“Overall a good experience. Elevators need a little up keep as do the carpets in hallway and work around the pool is a must, don't forget to wear sandals as to not step on loose pebbles. The beds were very comfortable, and clean. No need to ask for extra pillows as they were big and fluffy.”

• Nothing was liked about this hotel.
• We had to change rooms twice.

“This hotel was dirty. The first room they put us in was used and wasn't cleaned before they gave us the keys. They moved us to a second room which ended up having a spider nest in the lamp next to our bed. They tried to put us in a smoking room, which we are not smokers. Far from it and we refused. After continually asking they finally gave us their last non smoking room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, unless they want to be utterly inconvenienced.”

• The beds were very comfortable. Free breakfast for kids under 12. Currently renovating.
• Hotel in serious need of renovations which it is currently in the process of doing.

“The beds are comfortable but this is an old hotel. They are currently renovating which is desperately needed. The restaurant was surprisingly good with large portions on the kids menu - definitely enough to fill an older child (11-12). Breakfast was free for kids 12 and under with an adult purchase. Lunch and dinner was reasonably priced.”

“While the staff was very kind and helpful, this hotel needs major renovation. The ceiling of my bathroom was falling into the shower, the shower was stained, old and cracked. The bathroom sink was covered in cigarette burns. The hallway floors were all torn up and warped.”

• It is conveniently located.
• It wasn't very clean and there was no peace and quiet.

“The very first thing I noticed about the hotel, when I first entered the building, is that the hallway carpet is dangerously bunched up throughout. This was also the case on the third floor. It was difficult to walk without tripping. On entering my room, the first thing I noticed was a rather unfortunate stain on the comfy chair, in which of course I would not be sitting. The second thing I noticed was the squealing and shouting of the people at the pool, which was right outside my window. The bed however was very clean and extremely comfortable, which was good because otherwise I would have gotten no sleep, what with the clanging noise that came from my ceiling all hours of the day and night - seemed to be something mechanical or HVAC related. Overall it was a very negative experience. I wouldn't stay there again.”

• Could not turn on TV but then they fixed the fuse, remote did not work.

“Overall, I enjoyed my stay, even though it was short. I had a quiet floor and it was easy to get to from where I parked. Front desk was very helpful and the rooms were clean. Very hot water and good water pressure. Nice plush towels and over all a great experience.”

• Hot tub, and Green Mill was pretty good restaurant.
• Fairly isolated, can't walk to anything.

“This Holiday Inn turned out to be good for my purposes (24-hour stopover). They have shuttles to the airport and Mall of America, which is good because the place is in sort of an office-industrial no-man's-land at an I-35W exit with few services. So, if you're car-less, you won't be able to walk to many places easily. The attached Green Mill restaurant was a bit better, and the indoor Holidome-type pool and hot tub were nice. Staff were friendly. They also had an Internet terminal in the business center. The place is starting to show some age, but I was very happy with it, and if I were on a longer trip to the area and had a rental car it would work fine as a base.”

• After driving thru a snowstorm it was a relaxing calm atmosphere, and bar to have a drink.
• There were stains on carpets and furniture.

“The hotel was centrally located for what our needs were. A bit dirty in places not bad. The carpets and furniture had stains on them. Bathroom was clean and the beds were nice. Also having the Green Mill right in the motel was very nice. Not having to leave the motel to go and eat when we had a crappy day already.”

“The women at the front desk (it appeared to be the front desk manager) at the Airport Holiday Inn, was very rude. We stayed at the Airport Hyatt 2 nights earlier and the staff at the Hyatt were wonderful and treated us great. Also, our bathroom sink had a huge crack the entire length of it.”
