• No smoking!

• I have stayed at this hotel before and I really do like it. The staff is very friendly.
• My major complaint and why I rated it low in some areas is because of the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable. Both of us woke up with back aches.

“I love this hotel except this time I had a bed that was really bad. Both of our backs were sore in the morning.”

• Pool area was nice - convenient general hotel location.
• Would not pay their rack rate of $169 to stay here - was a decent deal for $45.

“Can't believe they charge $169 for a room at this hotel - nothing special - just an average room, etc. Was a decent hotel for what we paid $45/night?”

• Luxury hotel at affordable price.
• No continental breakfast, everything cost extra - internet, local phone calls, etc.

“Overall, we enjoyed the hotel. We were disappointed that the housekeeping staff left our room unlocked all day while we were out. Luckily, nothing was stolen. The rooms were nice, comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly. When we asked for a luggage cart though, we got the cart and bellman. Of course, that meant we had to tip him when we could have loaded everything ourselves. I guess we're not used to staying at a hotel that fancy!”

• Beautiful, clean, welcoming, good location.
• Room service food. We ordered a pizza. Crust was doughy, undercooked.

“I would love to stay at this hotel anytime. It was gorgeous and I felt very welcome by the staff. Amazingly comfortable beds! Clean rooms, quiet hallways. Perfect!”

• We had a 3 night stay over the 3rd weekend in October. The view from the 16th floor was breathtaking of the fall colors and gorgeous flowers.
• The only shortfall was the size of the vanity in bath area is too small room 1609.

“Fantastic stay! My son in law is with cardinal Ig Corp and this is where their corporate travelers stay when visiting the St. Louis park, MN facility. My little granddaughter came over to swim the morning w checked out and we all enjoyed that too. Will definitely book here again when there is a large family gathering.”

• The housekeeping staff was very nice.
• The front desk staff was very rude and inconsiderate.

“The Marriott itself is a nice hotel; however the lack of respect, responsibility, and friendliness of the front desk employees really takes away from the appeal of the hotel.”

• We really thought the bedding was wonderful!
• We ended up with a room for the handicapped no bathtub.

“Overall, it was a very nice hotel. It was clean and the lobby was elegant. The bedding and bed were so comfortable. We would have liked to have had a bathtub we wanted a king sized bed and the only room that was available that had that, was one for the handicapped.”

• The hotel room was immaculately clean, beds were so comfortable with down comforters, staff was always accommodating, and check-out is 12:00.
• No table or chairs to sit on the balcony.

“Beautiful hotel with a lovely location - easy walk to all the attractions, we even took the city bus from the airport for $6.00 for 2 adults and 2 children and there was a bus stop right across the street from the hotel.”

• The staff was quick to assist whenever approached with a request and even anticipated needs.

“Even though this hotel has been around a few years, the rooms are up-to-date and stylish. We appreciated the generous lighting in the rooms as well as the comfy beds and pillows. We used the fitness room and enjoyed the cold wash rags, fresh towels, cold water and fresh fruit provided to enjoy following our workouts. This hotel exceeded our expectations.”

• The pool area was nice and quiet.
• No free internet access. One computer in the business office for the entire hotel. It would cost 12.95 for 24 hrs. Access to the internet and phone.

“Location was difficult to find. Even with the directions on line. The double beds were not adequate for two people who are used to King sized beds. Internet access is usually available at this star level hotel that we have stayed at. Parking was difficult to access handicap spaces.”

• The grounds are stunning!
• It is a little obscured and the road is one-way.

“The hotel and staff were amazing. It was in a nice area that had convenient access to highways. My only compliant was it was set off of the road, on a way street. But, everything else was great!”

• Sink outside bathroom; companion didn't like shower.

“This was the second Marriott I'd stayed in within a month; both had wonderful beds and linens, though this room was smaller than one in Bellevue, way. Except for the sink outside the bathroom, the room was very comfortable. We were surprised to not have the option of re-using towels or limiting sheet changes as is prevalent in other places. The hotel is in a business park which has a confusing one-way street system but offers walks on paths around the area, which includes at least one pond.”

“The Marriott Minneapolis southwest/Minnetonka is a lovely hotel. Despite being part of a chain, this facility is beautifully appointed. The knowledgeable staff looked for ways to be pleasant and helpful. Our restaurant dinner was quite good, even late at night. The Sunday brunch buffet was quite complete and satisfying. I was impressed overall--not easy since I have traveled extensively. I would happily recommend this hotel to others looking for a good experience at reasonable rates.”

• Nothing not to like.

“Our hotel stay was wonderful. It was a get-away weekend so we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the hallways, the attentive staff, and adult-only hours at the pool and the extremely comfy bed. Even though we didn't leave the hotel to do some errands until later in the day, the room was cleaned when we came back later that evening. I hope we get this hotel every time!”

• I loved the comfortable beds with the down comforter.
• The price of a glass of wine - $7.00.

“It is off the beaten path but still very easy to get to. It is quiet and the rooms are very nicely decorated. The bed and bedding are conducive for a good night's rest. You just sink into the feather bed. I love having a coffeemaker in the room and you even get a morning paper. Definitely enjoyed our stay and would go back anytime.”

• I left a pair of shoes in room and was told they were not found. I guess the maid wanted them.

“Very disappointed in customer service. I called within hours of leaving the hotel to make sure I was able to retrieve my forgotten shoes. They supposedly never found them. I find that hard to believe. Was on hold for so long I hung up one time. Took four long distance phone calls and still no shoes. I know I left them by the door in a shoes box inside a bag. How could they not be there?”

• Bedding was outstanding. Very comfortable and high quality.
• Bathroom was nothing fancy, standard tub and shower could have been higher-end, given the rest of the hotel.

“This hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was more than adequate and we enjoyed our stay for a weekend shopping trip to the twin cities. Location was fine, room was great. Nice pool in the hotel but a small hot tub (6 person capacity) however we were then only ones in the pool area at "prime time" 8pm or so, so there was no issue there. Great workout facility! Polite staff, easy and efficient check in. Best of all, a great price! ”

• Some of the staff great!
• Phone cord was left in suite and never to be found.

“At the end of a long day we sat to have a drink and the bartender took 2 drinks away as if in a hurry to end his shift and housekeeping never found the charging cord to the cell left at the desk of the suite we were in. I find that strange, as my husband ran hotels for 15 years and there is a lost and found in all of them.”
