• I thought the glass elevator was kind of classy.
• The carpet seemed dingy and poor window trim work.

• We stayed on Valentine's Day, and they had complementary champagne and strawberries.
• The hotel advertised a sauna, however one did not exist.

“Overall our stay was very pleasant. The room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was slightly overpriced for the quality. The pool, hot tub, and exercise facilities were great.”

“We had two nights booked; the receptionist insisted we had only one night even with my confirmed receipt. She and I were in a heated argument when the management over heard us and come over. He then corrected the situation.”

• Rooms were great. Service was great.
• The swimming pool was not working, which was not good with kids.

“I liked the location. It is right next to mall and Interstate Highway 394, providing quick access to dining, shopping and other activities. It was tucked back in a quiet location. The pool was under repair to install safer drains, which is a good thing.”

• Good recovery with complimentary room after overbooking our stay on front end of trip.
• Overbooked our stay on front end of trip-sent us to a one star days inn.

“Started out as a bad experience when the Sheraton overbooked and we did not get a room. They put us up at a Days Inn 10 miles further out that I would never stay at by choice, in a smoking room no less. Give credit to the general manager to agree to comp us a room the following week on the return trip. Just wish we did not have to go through the first part of being turned away at midnight after a long travel day.”

• Atmosphere; location of our room overlooking the pool
• Our stay was a very good experience!

“The "first impressions" coming in after traveling caught our attention. There was a fresh water (citrus/cucumber) jar in the entrance; candlelight in the atrium and by the piano bar in the evenings; friendly personnel; a second atrium overlooking the pool and hot tub. We really had a good experience.”

• The location is great. Shopping, restaurants and near downtown Minneapolis.
• The beds (mattresses too firm).

• The lobby and restraint area.
• Room was not cleaned by 5p.m. On 2nd day of stay.

“Stayed 2 nights. A Friday thru Sunday. First night was fine. On Saturday, left hotel early in the morning for the day, returned at 5p.m. To find dirty room. Maid service never cleaned room. When I called front desk, they said they were short staffed and did not reach my room yet. They wanted me to leave room at 6.pm for maid service after I had already been gone from the hotel for 10 hours that day. I was tired and wanted to relax. They put me in another room that was next to elevator with children getting on and off all night long. Half of the bathroom lights were burnt out. The temperature in the room was 75 degrees and would not go down. Did not want to call front desk again because lady working was hard to work with the first time.”

• Lighting to dark, not family friendly, pool area boring not well lit.

“It needs "life". It was very clean but boring. Needs a TV or something in the lobby only same sleepy music over and over. Pool area really boring. Two nights the hot tub wasn't working. Lighting was terrible.”

• The location is very convenient for us and has wonderful feather pillows. Very comfortable.
• We were initially given an inside (dark) room ~ save those for people who check in after dark.

“The Sheraton Minneapolis West is an ideal location for us on the west edge of the city in close proximity to Ridge dale and other shopping and restaurants. The hotel is well cared for and staff were very professional and helpful. It's set in a nice wooded area with walking trails accessible. Quiet and comfortable.”

• The hotel was great quality.
• Due to construction, the hotel was less convenient than originally thought.

“Great hotel at a great value. However, it's in the South of Market neighborhood, a hood I used to refer to as the hood San Francisco forgot. All the places I like to hang out at are not within walking distance. But, the neighborhood is being built up. ”

• This was a higher end quality hotel and a very convenient location.
• Bottled water in the room was $4 each, and the top wall of the shower needed maintenance.

“If you are able to secure a low price for the Minneapolis Sheraton West, I would highly recommend this hotel. All staff were extremely pleasant, the hotel was quiet and clean, and it's location in Minnetonka near the mall as well as other restaurants and amenities cannot be beat.”

• The location was great. Check-in was easy and efficient. Very comfortsble.
• The room smelled strongly of cleaning/deoderazing products, almost nauseating.

“Kid friendly with an adult atmosphere. Exercise facility was nice, and the neighborhood seemed safe enough for a quick jog. The beds were VERY COMFORTABLE. I would recommend this hotel to others.”

• Pamphlet in room said there would be robes - they were reserved for "club" guests only.

“The hotel is right off the freeway - easy access, yet back in the trees for an aesthetic look. It is close to a nice walking path. The management demonstrates care in the facility.”

“The Sheraton Minneapolis West fully met our expectations. Upon arrival we needed an early check-in because of an afternoon wedding. The desk clerk was very pleasant and contacted housekeeping and within a few minutes we had been given the key to our room. The room itself was spacious, clean and very comfortable right down to the feather pillows! We would definitely hope to stay at this hotel again.”
