• Convenient location off main expressway, easy checking and checkout. Nice hotel.
• There is nothing I can say, it was a nice hotel.

“Hotel was clean and staff was courteous. Room service was convenient; food was good and fairly reasonably priced. I would stay here again, definitely.”

• The choice of pillows to sleep on.
• Location. Area was a little run down.

“Clean rooms, great staff, helpful. Shuttle was nice if you flew in but getting around town the shuttle was pretty worthless because they would only go 3 miles from the hotel and everything was 4+ miles away. Food at the restaurant was ok, nothing spectacular. They have a pool and game room which is nice for the kids. Overall, it was what I expected.”

• Swimming pool was warm and clean.
• We was 2 floors below the top floor were there was loud music until midnight.

• The location was perfect for the downtown business I had to attend to.
• Looked a little dated, needs some sprucing up, general maintenance.

“As mentioned in Q15. There was a large crack in the room window, and although the stay was pleasant in general, I think the hotel could benefit from some updating, because its location is perfect for downtown and Mercy medical campus.”

• Shuttle service to local establishment.
• Room was dingy, beds were uncomfortable, and stains on the carpet, small bathroom, and window cracked. I could have stayed at the Marriott for less.

• Poorly ran restaurant, no continental breakfast, no parking space for large vehicles.

“House keeping was good and the hotel was kept clean, convenient bar and restaurant, restaurant leaves a lot to be desired poor quality food for the money terrible wait time, and to charge $1.50 for coffee on top of $9.90 for a third rate breakfast bar was a bit much, parking for a full size truck as a nightmare I had to pay an additional $72.00 to park my trailer as there was no place to park.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• We were on the street side and it was noisy.

• Very nice facility.
• Loud party in room above us.

“Great room and very clean, however the party above us ruined our whole experience when called the front desk told us there was nothing they could do about it. This was something I was hoping would be relaxing and would not effect my 5 am morning but when the party went into 12:30 am and later it was hard to sleep with the noise.”

• The staff was very helpful.
• The pool was not kid friendly. It was dirty. The furniture was filthy. There were ants on the deck.

“This hotel has a lot potential--interesting architecture, good location. The rooms were clean but need updating. The pool and pool furniture were dirty. Plants were not healthy. Ants on deck. The pool design is not kid friendly--needs steps, 3'-4' area not big enough for kids to play in. Frosted glass needed in lower banks of windows facing street. Desk and restaurant staff was nice.”

• Not an attractive place to stay, room was not in very good (clean) condition, did not get things I asked for (fridge, microwave).

• Complimentary shuttle for those not familiar with area.
• No type of continental breakfast, hard for someone with young children. Even a small box of cereal for snacking would be nice for the price of stay.

“This hotel is convenient for staying and attending a show at Wells Fargo or Iowa Events Center. We were shuttled to our event, both ways, before check-in. Had a nice large buffet available at lunch. King size room seemed small, tight quarters for two adults and a child.”

“Its a decent hotel if you want to be in downtown Des Moines. Can't really walk to anything in downtown Des Moines, but its a short drive away. If you're concerned about price this is a good option.”

• Lounge was nice.
• Wrong directions, put me in a smoking room, and when I asked to change rooms got a double bed instead of queen.

“I was not at all pleased! When in the room the heat didn't work at first. Then when I returned home I developed a rash apparently from the detergent in the sheets! Not at all pleased !”
