• very clean, new furniture, carpet, etc.- One of the cleanest, most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in!
• they only provided 2 bath towels- had to call for more but they were very prompt in bringing us more towels

“Right across the street from the airport, it is a very convenient location. It looks like it is either new or recently remodeled because everything in our room was new- the carpet was clean, the paint on the walls was flawless and the shower was awesome! It had an outward-curved curtain to make the shower very spacious. We were just very pleased with everything at this hotel and cheap!! We couldn't believe we got this Hampton Inn cheaper than one of the other hotel sites wanted for the Motel 6 next door. Awesome!”

“The Hampton is was a nice place to stay. The room was large and it was clean. They served a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning with alot of choices. It was close to the airport buth you didn't hear the airport noise inside the room. I would stay there again.”

“From the moment I walked in the front doors, the staff was attentive, the facility clean and welcoming and smell of freshed baked cookies lingered in the air. Great experience overall. I would definatley look to stay at another Hampton Inn on visit out of town. ”

• Great mattress and Pillows. Great cont. hot breakfast
• Would like one easy chair

“Very pleased. HOtel was clean and very comfortable. The mattress was great and the pillows were exceptionaly good. Staff was pleasant, had a very good contintental breakfast. Would like to stay in these all the way on our eastern trip this fall.”

• They offerred a ride to places - free shuttle around area
• in general, building felt older and aged, but kept

• The staff was very helpful, for directions and for things I needed, such as extra blankets and towels.
• It was a little bit off the highway and not a lot of eating places located around it.

• The breakfasts were wonderful, the staff was pleasant.
• The only thing I would change would be the beds, they were hard.

• It was conveniently located to where we selected and was acceptable for the rating level.
• Not the nicest hotel that I have stayed in.

“Located right across from the Des Moines airport made it very convenient to catch an early morning flight without having to wake up extra early. The hotel had cookies at night, and a breakfast bar in the morning (however, not the biggest or greatest). It had an outdoor swimming pool and an exercise room. It was very much set up for the business traveler.”

• It was a very nice hotel reasonably priced for our family.
• We got a smoking room and my wife and I are very sensistive to smoke.

“This hotel was very nice. The contintenal breakfast was excellent. We had very good service, they even gave us a coupon to order a movie for free, which was nice since we had kids along.”

• Very clean. Helpful personnel.
• The only shortcoming was the noise from the jet take off and landing.

• the pool was out service the whole time we were there

• I loved the lap board and recliner--made it feel like home
• The only thing I didn't like was the fact I couldn't stay longer!!!!!

“Very clean, with courteous staff. Nice large rooms, especially the bathroom. Internet access a bonus. Pool not in order- was dissappointing to not know that in advance. Also, a tv guide would have been nice to choose programming rather than browsing by channel.”

• I had a severe headache and they went to the store for advil at no charge and brought it to my room. Wonderful, helpful staff.

• The pillows were great.
• The outdoor pool was under construction and unable for guests to use.

“Staff at the hotel were good, I had forgotten contact solution and they offered to go do Walgreens to pick me up some. I was very disappointed with the situation with the pool, it was a part of the hotel that I was expecting to get a lot of use of, I would guess that it will not be operating all summer. The hotel also offered a full breakfast in the morning which was nice and the room was decent in size.”

• This Hampton Inn has a GREAT breakfast buffet!!
• The swimming pool was inoperable, and in June that's not good.

“I would recommend it highly. It has free High speed Internet, a great breakfast buffet and very friendly helpful staff. The cookies, fresh baked, are a great touch.”

• Clean, spacious and quiet - even though near airport
• The pool was closed down, yet no work was being done on the area the 4 days I was there.

“Convenient to the airport (across the street), within 10 minutes of downtown, close to the zoo and county park. A very nice location. I was there with my 4-year old grandson, and he was very comfortable with the hotel. However, the pool area was closed down, the concrete patio around the pool was evidently under repair (the concrete broken up), yet it appeared there was no effort being made to complete work on the pool, although it was already summer. The hotel, itself was very clean and quiet and the breakfast buffet was exceptional.”

• For its 2 star rating, it provided an excellent breakfast and has a good exercise facility.

“Because of its location, this hotel was very convenient for my purposes. I travel quite frequently and try to find the right mix of price and perks. I thought this hotel provided an excellent breakfast. It also has a small exercise facility that allowed me to get a workout in. I would stay there again if the situation presents itself.”

• Outdoor pool should be noted. This is IOWA!! No way to use pool in March!! Bad breakfast!!

“Hotel was OK. Good if you need a place to stay before or after a flight from Des Moines Airport. The pool was outside. This is in IOWA there is no way to use an outside pool in March!! We took our kids there for a weekend away, and had no pool to use. The rooms are VERY small. There was supposed to be a breakfast buffet, but it was a normal continental breakfast with a nasty breakfast sandwich added.”

• The room was very nice. The airport shuttle to and from the airport was helpful. The continental breakfast was more than adequate.

“It was a great hotel to stay overnight when traveling out of town because it's so close to the airport. The breakfast was ready on time and was enough to hold us over on our flight. The hotel was very accommodating not only providing a shuttle to and from the airport but we able to save some money by leaving our car there during our trip. Excellent value.”

• The hotel did not have an indoor pool.

“The restaurant next door would not deliver to the hotel after 9:00 because the "area" was not safe. The room was small and had loose drywall around the room on the floor. We could not let our baby down on the floor for fear she would put something in her mouth. The only nice thing was the lobby--too bad we couldn't have slept there. Would not stay here again!!!!”
