• Clean, friendly staff and good breakfast.
• Next to a bar where the patrons hang outside the rooms and playing rap music.

• Hotel was clean and location was very accessible.
• Some of the "neighbors" were a little noisy. (There were a group of young people there.).

“Overall, this is a nice economical hotel. It was clean, easy to get to, and affordable. The room was a nice size, the king size bed was very comfortable and room was clean. There was a nice variety of food at the continental breakfast. Although hotel is located right off the interstate, highway noise was minimal. I would definitely use this hotel again if I needed a room in this area.”

• The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful even though they were very busy.
• I did notice an area that needed additional cleaning.

“I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very quite even though we were next to the interstate. The room was everything that I needed for my stay including wireless internet.”

• It was convenient and clean!
• They only had one vending machine and it was broken and one ice machine.

“The front desk was pleasant and accommodating. They apologized for the vending machine being broken but offered no suggestions or help.”

• Good beds.
• Had ants in bathroom, volume on TV broken, air conditioning worked part-time, light bulb not replaced.

“Beds were good, that's the only positive thing I can say, our bathroom was not cleaned for second day. We had to switch rooms and still had problems, no clean towels the second day. Breakfast was a joke - note was written in description. The description of the hotel made me feel like it would be nice, very disappointed.”

• The pillows on the bed.
• It needs updating and repairs. Our bathroom floor was really a mess.

“If book another hotel in the desk Moines area I would not chose this particular Quality Inn. As I said it needs updating. Because of some of the disrepair it looks like no one cares. The continental breakfast was good.”

• Had a nice exterior and lobby with friendly staff.
• The pool was cold and no hot tub.

“Our first room smelled badly of smoke when it was suppose to be a nonsmoking room. When we asked for a new room the staff was more than willing to give us a different room. They were quick with the change and there was no problem with the new room.”

• It was fully equipped with indoor plumbing and electricity.

“Where to begin? The security feature of the outer door was not engaged. The pool had a ring of filth above the waterline. The hot tub had been removed, but the handrails were still there. The windows and doors of the pool area were covered with green slime/algae. The continental breakfast bar was out of coffee at 8:00 a.m. There was a child's toy under the bed from a previous guest. Although the bar/grill had good drink specials, the crowd could best be described as "sketchy." I'd never stay there or at any other Quality Inns & Suites again.”

“Decent for price. Friendly staff. The room was generally clean except the bathtub needed some real scrubbing to get the grime off. The continental breakfast was a little lacking.”

• The pool was not open!

“The hotel was easy to find and convenient, however my mom and I were sorely disappointed to find the pool was not open since we had picked the hotel based on price and pool. The receptionist was unfriendly, but her replacement was helpful. The first night, apparently a basketball team was practicing upstairs - it was very noisy.”

“Very expensive for what I received. room door took an average of 6 tried to open - key card did not work. maid service was talking on cell phone while working - very rude. headboard very scuffed up. not worth the money!! but, front desk staff very helpful. and breakfast was a nice touch.”

• Good location, but a little confusing to drive into (street-wise).

“Overall a nice place to stay, with a very friendly staff. Location was excellent - right off the highway (Interstate 80), but it was a little confusing to turn into - I had to turn around a couple of times before I figured out how the streets worked (little frustrating). Free breakfast was typical - cereal, doughnuts, toast, juice, coffee.”

• Was easy to find. Had a nice lounger for reading.
• Did not have fitted sheets. Was dark in the hallways.

“Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Got into the room on time. Breakfast was huge and of good quality. Would of liked fitted sheets. Blankets were thread bare.”

• Room cleanliness was disgusting.

“Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. However, the room was dated and not clean. There were stains on the floor which made you wear your shoes the entire time you were in the room. The bathroom was even worse. The bottom of the bath tub had dirt on it. The grouting in the tub was moldy. There was also mold on the ceiling adjacent to the bath tub. Disgusting!”

• The advertised spa/Jacuzzi no longer exists.

“We have stayed here 3 other times with excellent reviews. On this trip, the property was listed for an excellent price in an otherwise pricey area. We booked expecting similar results. We found the spa/Jacuzzi area which we previously enjoyed before, has been removed and no longer exists. Very disappointed. The room was clean, well maintained and had a very comfortable king sized bed. Only downside was the toilet which had issues with flushing, but the staff was unable to correct. Breakfast was standard fare, not deluxe as advertised, so be prepared to go off property. Lots of restaurants nearby. Good access to highways and shopping. This property is located on a service road, so it does not suffer from high traffic. Very quiet. Courteous, friendly and helpful Staff other than noted above. Had I known spa was gone, I would have looked harder at other properties. This price without the spa made it a so-so value.”

• There were what looked like blood stains on the sheets and nasty cobwebs just above the bed.
