“The hotel was not luxurious, but that is not what I expected from the hotel. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was close to the attractions we wanted (casinos, shopping, night life). I would recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for a room that is not pricey, but is not dirty or cheap looking. Overall, the room was definitely worth the money.”

• For a motel this was one of the better one I stayed in.
• There was road construction going on around the motel.

• There were no bugs and things were generally clean.
• Mildew in the tub, old caulking, matted carpet, non-working bed lamp.

“Given the economic hard times, I think they do their best. However, it would be nice to see the recommended repairs addressed the next time I'm through Bossier City.”

• It was pretty clean.
• It was unattractive and in a less than desirable location. Kids ran up and down the second floor balcony until 10 pm. The hotel was understaffed.

“On a scale of 1-10 for a two star hotel I give it a 3-4. I will never stay at a la Quinta again.”

• It was convenient to the interstate and the boardwalk.
• It was not sound proof friendly.

“It is fair to say that a reason for a hotel stay is overall to sleep. The entrance door to the room was by far sound proof. The birds woke us up at 4:45 am. The reason for our stay was to go to the boardwalk. We could have enjoyed it more if we would have had more energy.”

• The rooms had a musty odor, I was transferred to another room and it had the same odor.

“Worst I have ever stayed in my life. Unsafe area, dirty room. Nothing updated, internet didn't work for a whole day. Loud noisy people yelling and screaming. No security to handle situation. 911 call would have cost me money. Room wasn't cleaned on day 2. Cigarette ashes all over the moldy dingy bathroom, couldn't sit on toilet (I might get a disease).”

“The service was great. It was sufficiently clean and quiet. The pool was too cold to be used yet which was a let-down for the kids. It was fairly easy to get to, and not far from major routes.”

• LaQuinta is a relatively good chain, and this location is a nice one.

“Typical room for today's rates. LaQuinta is a decent chain, and this location is nice. This hotel needs to do something that almost every hotel I stay in 150 nights a year in hotels. They need to tell their guests and housekeeping help to keep noise inside the room. Everyone forgets that hotel rooms are bedrooms. When you make noise in the halls, or outside someone else's door, it's like you're doing it in front of their bedroom. I've been in ground floor outside rooms and had Harleys that were parked right outside my door start up at 5 in the morning. There's no consideration. Hotels should post signs, requesting the guests keep noise to a minimum in public areas.”

• The cost was right and it was close to where I needed to be.
• The parking is terrible. There was a large van-type truck parked across approximately 5 spaces directly in front of my room.

• Noisy! Did I mention alot of noise. Did not sleep well at all. Only basic cable and HBO. No movies on demand.

“Its lovely and convenient but very noisy and the TV is basic cable with HBO with no movies on demand. It is not a 2.5 star but a 2 star. The morning breakfast is one of the worse I have experienced. Someone stole my privacy card on the door and when I asked for a replacement they suggested I tape a note on the door as they did not have a replacement.”

“Staff was friendly but the rooms need extra cleaning. I have a one year old and he found trash and cob webs. The sheets when we went to bed had stains as well as the blanket.”

• The Continental Breakfast had a nice selection of choices.
• A larger parking area near rooms is needed.

“The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was more than adequate, and the price was reasonable. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room, but we managed without one. Overall, it was a fairly pleasant stay.”

• The area is terrible and it was difficult to find.

“There is no on-site security at this hotel, and it needs it. The area surrounding the hotel is not safe. While we were driving down an adjacent street, someone threw a brick at our car and dented the roof. I will not stay in Bossier City again. There must be a real crime problem there. As far as the hotel itself goes, it is clean and acceptably comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which included waffles and hard boiled eggs. If you could pick the entire hotel up and stick it in a better area, it would have been a more pleasant experience.”

• The parking accommodations need improvement. They almost share a parking lot with a restaurant and it's hard to find parking.

“This hotel is okay for short visits. It tends to be noisy because of the location and parking is bad because they share a lot with a restaurant. I really prefer hotels with doors that open into a hallway for safety purposes.”

• Bathroom not clean when we checked in.

“My husband and I will most definitely stay at this motel again. On a previous trip we stayed at the same motel but paid a much higher price. The front desk manager ray Monte was very nice and even gave us a complimentary movie on him because we were there celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and had stayed there before.”
