• Close to restaurants and shopping mall
• Hard to get into with busy traffic

“Everything was fine includeing breakfast.However my TV chanel changer didn't work and i didn't find out until later.Noisey from the side they put me on next to the interstate.”

• Clean, comfortable, competent staff, & great breakfasts.
• Nothing really.

“This hotel was really nice. The hotel itself is new & in good repair, the rooms are very comfortable & clean, the staff friendly & competent. Plus, the complementary breakfasts were terrific. They were just cold cereal & frozen donuts. Although I didn't swim in the pool, from what I saw it appeared well-maintained & clean. Great if you are traveling with the kiddos. There is also a very nice fitness center free of charge. Overall a very good stay.”

• The accommodations were excellent. The room was very clean and neat.
• Upon our arrival the front desk person was not friendly, actually a little rude.

• Wow! This was a great hotel! Very clean, great, friendly service, excellent breakfast, access to internet.
• I really thought this was a great place to stay.

“This was my favorite stop on my trip! I wished that I could stay there longer. There was easy access from the high way to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was amazing! The room was very comfortable and clean. A great experience.”

• I wasn't sure where to find the internet available computers, but I didn't ask either.

• The size of the rooms and location of the hotel.
• The breakfast buffet was always out of food.

• Behind Taco John's, which we love to eat at & the complimentary breakfast every morning.
• Nothing, except for a really bad storm.

• Clean, convenient, reasonably priced, and comfortable.
• Nothing.

“The hotel was clean and extremely comfortable. They had nice amenities (coffee, ironing board/iron, etc.) Which made for a very convenient stay? It is a little farther away from drake university, however, worth the drive. Conveniently located just off the expressway. I will choose this hotel again when visiting my niece at drake.”

• The beds are extremely comfortable!
• As it's close to the highway, there is highway noise.

“This is a very friendly, comfortable hotel to stay in. It's fairly new so everything is up to date. It's beautifully decorated, both in the public areas and the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, and there are plenty of pillows. A lovely hotel, I recommend highly.”

• The pool needs to be a little warmer, too cold for young children.

• Beautiful, quiet, immaculately clean room.
• A little hard to find.

“The front desk personnel was very professional and courteous, pointed out all the amenities and offered further assistance as needed. The hotel is quiet, located near Highway I-80, making its location very convenient. I especially appreciated the immaculately clean room. The Fairfield Inn offers a continental breakfast; there's not a great variety, but it was adequate and saved the time & expense of going out for breakfast. A big plus, guest controlled climate control. Overall, a very positive experience.”

• At breakfast, they ran out of silverware and the trash cans were full to overflowing.

• The night staff was courteous and most helpful with all my questions.
• It's a little tricky to get to and I wish there would have been more TV channels available.

“This hotel is clean, spacious and comfortable. At the time of my stay the desk clerks were the most helpful and courteous of any hotel employees I had ever encountered. The hotel is set up so that everything is conveniently located. Breakfast was good and the employees kept it well-stocked.”

“I have stayed in many Fairfield Inns so I was a bit surprised when my room did not get cleaned and I had no control over when the air conditioner shut off.”

• Room set up nicely and larger than we expected. Very clean throughout.
• Crappy coffee.

“I was not aware that West Des Moines had 2 Fairfilds, and this was the one I was not aware of. Finding the motel and my room was exciting. Not only new and with an indoor pool, but within walking distance of eating establishments. Thank you for my weekend get-a-way. As the adoptive Mother of 2 special need teens, I needed it!!.”
