• Loved the location and the cleanliness.
• No restaurant, just a breakfast bar.

“Spent two nights, the hotel was very clean, the staff very courteous and polite. The room was very tidy and very clean, bathroom and shower so clean I felt comfortable using it. The free breakfast bar was very nicely stocked and the food very tasty and of good quality. I would recommend the Fairfield to all my friends and acquaintances.”

• Very clean. Lobby area was nicely decorated. Outside of hotel was average, but looks like they have updated the inside.

• At the time they were remodeling/little messy.

• Price, location, and amenities like a nice continental breakfast and accessible internet.
• Employer initially made a poor choice in booking 3 females with a king size bed, but quickly fixed upon request.

“I had stayed at this hotel many years ago while working at a company in Mankato. I liked it then and I liked it today. Professional, clean, and comfortable lodgings for business members or family members.”

• Room was very clean; linens on the bed were very nice quality.
• Check in time on a Saturday 5:30 approx. only (1) associate at desk not enough customer service help at the time.

“We meaning a group of (4) sisters age range from 40 to 53 had a good experience at the hotel. For us the location was good for what we did in town for the day and evening. We had a fun week end in Mankato MN.”

• Your breakfast was the best I've seen and I've stayed in 100's of hotels!
• No plastic bottle or cups in pool area.

“This stay was fabulous with your hotel. Rooms were spacious, lovely comfortable blankets on beds, great to have internet access for laptop. Breakfast was fantastic! I forgot my cell phone, they immediately went to my room, retrieved it, when I returned hours later they had my phone at the front desk, charging it even!”

• I could tell that the management has an eye for detail, as the property was very neat and tidy.
• The heating/cooling unit in the room needed servicing. It was quite noisy.

“I stayed in a King-sized bed room. There was an abundance of thick pillows and the mattress felt like it had never been slept on. Supportive, no lumps, sturdy. I take a tape roller with me when I travel, just to run it over the sheets and pillow cases since the thought of pressing my face into the fallen hair of strangers makes my skin crawl. After a few passes of the roller, the tape was still clean, no hair. Impressive. I felt no grit underneath my bare feet on the bathroom floor. Plenty of bathroom towels neatly stacked and also hanging on the bars. There are towels available for pool use on the main floor as well. The breakfast area was clean and organized and well stocked. With the exception of the immaculate pool area, the property is showing only minimal signs of wear and tear nothing that tells me a renovation may be in order. Nearly everything was so neat and tidy. My only complaint was the cooling/heating unit in the room. It sounded as if someone had attached a playing card to one of the blades of the fan so that it would tick-tick-tick with each revolution, like on a child's bicycle. I thought I could get used to it, but eventually I had to just shut off the fan. And when the heater started, it made a sound completely out of proportion to both its size and desired output, as if I was powering up an industrial sized HVAC system from 1962.”

• Housekeeping Knocked on the door in the morning to ask when we were leaving, rude.

“This hotel is good enough for the area. A little out dated but has everything you need. It was clean enough but not as clean as some hotels Ive been in. The front desk staff was very kind. They don't deliver newspapers to your door as they say they do in the book in the room. The pool and the hot tub were okay. Overall it was a decent hotel as long as you aren't expecting more.”

“The Fairfield inn of Mankato serves business travelers well. A person feels safe in the quiet hotel, with secure doors at both ends of the building. Friendly front desk staff answers all your needs quickly and effectively. Check in and check out is a breeze. Every room has comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Wireless internet makes the hours go by. Close to many wonderful dining establishments. Enjoy!”

• The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was the best continental I have ever had.
• Dining area and lobby was small and crowded at breakfast.

“Excellent location close to mall and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. The continental breakfast was great with a lot of variety and very well stocked to the end of the serving time. I think we were the last people eating breakfast and it was fully stocked even with a whole baseball team eating earlier. I will definitely stay there again.”

• I like the bed and linens, I like that they don't use bedspreads.
• The parking lot and entrance was not cleaned of snow and ice very well.

“It was a pleasant stay. They let me check in early and were very helpful. I didn¿t use the pool or hot tub so can't rate it. The breakfast was adequate coffee not great had grounds in it.”

• The physical plant is absolutely excellent and the staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating.
• Our team thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I did not get even one complaint of any kind.

“The Fairfield inn Mankato soundly met our needs for comfort and convince. One team member remarked that he didn't think he had ever slept in a more comfortable bed. Staff treated us like we were guests in their own home and by the end of our several week stay we felt like we had made friends! Also, breakfast at the Fairfield inn Mankato is excellent. It is as hearty or light as you want to make to make it and has a wonderful variety of food including hot breakfast sandwiches, Belgian waffles, and fresh fruit options. Our team travels four to five days an every week, year around. We plan to come back to Fairfield inn Mankato.”

• Noise quality, could hear neighbors TV.

“Hotel is worth the money I paid for it, nothing fancy but not a dump. They have a great breakfast available to its guests in the morning, and the pool and hot tub are nice, however, I will say that I have been here several times and the hot tub half the time is not working properly. They just recently added a business computer to their lobby area for guests that need to check e-mail and what not, their wireless service works great though if you have your own laptop and want to hang out in your room. Staff is pleasant and timely. I would recommend this hotel to individuals who just want a clean decent place to stay, nothing fancy!”

• We wanted a non smoking room, but received smoking.

“In general it was fine. Next time we may try somewhere different. The pool was closed and we had a 12-year old along, however it's not the staff¿s fault just bad timing. And as I mentioned earlier we ordered a non smoking, but am sure it was smoking. We could smell it.”

• The staff went the extra mile to accommodate our needs.

“Very clean, Friendly staff, both evening and in the morning. Nice continental breakfast. Bed was HUGE, room was clean. Never staying in Mankato also left me a little unsure of my purchase. I am a customer service manager and travel a lot. I rate service everywhere I go, and was pleasantly surprised. The overall environment is created by the staff. All the way from Maintenance, cleaning to Service at the counter. This is what brings the customers back.”
