• Room was cleaned properly with items replaced as used, breakfast selection good, clean, pleasant staff.
• Was a bit old in appearance, but satisfactory for price paid. Maid left used coffee grounds in coffee pot the 2nd day of my stay.

“This hotel was OK considering the price I paid. The breakfast selection was good, staff pleasant and helpful, items used in room were replaced the next day, room was cleaned well, beds reasonably comfortable. The location was very handy for my needs. Restaurants of interest were a few exits down the freeway.”

• Pool, location, and allowed pets.
• The assistant manager was rude.

“We stayed at this hotel because of the following reasons listed in order of importance: allowed pets, pool, breakfast, location, and price. It was overcast and they would not open the pool all the other hotels had their pool open and even the same hotel chain who was across the street had their pool open. They were rude when we asked and the assistant manager even slammed the door in my daughter's face when she asked. They finally opened the pool when the sun was shining. Other than this the stay was ok.”

• Failure to open the pool because of overcast. In sensitive about request.

“We had one issue about this motel. The management would not open the pool until we called La Quinta Corp. Office to complain. The La Quinta in Arkansas had opened their pool and invited us to come and swim. We felt like we were treated in a abrupt manner because of our complaint and to make matters worse, the assistant manager came to the pool to tell us, that the first drop of rain that hit, she would close the pool. Now, if it had started to rain, no one would have to tell us to get out of the pool.”

• Easy to find.
• Pool was described as "sparkling", but in reality was dirty, old and falling apart.

“This was a very poor example of a La Quinta, which I have had good experiences with in the past. Clock was wrong, so we missed breakfast. And the room, while it technically looked clean, felt dirty. This was not a pleasant experience!”

• The room met my expectations.
• The hotel is in three different buildings, not attached to the lobby.

“I will not stay at this hotel again. My friend and I did not feel safe walking to our room after dark due to the other people staying there and the buildings being unattached from the lobby. The room did have all the amenities which was nice.”

• I got to sleep.
• I was a little difficult to find the entrance.

“Seemed newly remodeled but is an older hotel with outside doors. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very close to the interstate but did not hear the highway noise at all. Staff was friendly.”

“My family and I had a nice stay at this hotel. The service was friendly, and the room was nice. The room was comfortable, but when you show a picture of a big flatscreen TV, one would assume that it would be in their room.”

“We enjoyed our stay! Checking in and out was a breeze. There were plenty of great restaurants and shopping destinations were just down the road. We are looking forward to staying there again.”

• Convenient to freeways and restaurants. Towels softer than expected.
• The facility is older, had a musty odor in the room. TV sound was bad.

“This particular La Quinta was not up to par with others where I have stayed in the past. The facility was older, and with that comes the normal maintenance problems of chipped paint, old carpet, etc. It was clean enough (did not see roaches crawling or anything) but just was not as pleasant as I had hoped for this level. Breakfast was OK, but they had run out of eggs and other items 30 minutes before the 9:00 AM cut off time. Also, there is newer La Quinta just across the freeway from this one, which was quite confusing for a 9:00 PM arrival. The one we stayed at was in Texas and the other was in Arkansas (right on the Texarkana state line), so be careful not to go to the wrong one like we did at first.”

• The door had a lock on it.
• Bad area, seedy customers, drabby appearance, thin walls.

“The hotel was in a bad area of town. The "pass thru" door into the adjacent room was very thin and we could hear the people talking all night. The room itself was not dirty; however, it was not attractive. The ice machine was broken, the doors had patches (it looked like someone had kicked the door in and instead of replacing the door, they tried to just patch it) on several rooms. Review? It is an extremely bad hotel. It certainly does not deserve a single star.”

• For the same price, this La Quinta Inn was far superior than the one in the DFW area.
• The hot water temperature wasn't up to par - luke warm at best.

“A no thrills hotel similar to the Motel 6 of the seventies - a good value for the money. The buildings were older, but had been surface renovated within the last 5 years. The rooms were in a similar state but were of moderate size with the basic amenities. In the past year, I've stayed at 4 La Quinta Inns in the DFW area and Texarkana. This La Quinta ranks #2 on my list.”

• Easy access to interstate.
• Too much traffic noise from interstate, tiny bathrooms.

“Hotel staff did not appear too concerned about comfort of customers. The noise from traffic next to interstate is loud and makes it hard to sleep. The bathroom in our room was extremely small. The room was not well cleaned prior to our stay; we found paper from previous tenants and even found another person's deodorant! The only compliments I can provide is that, while noisy, the access to the interstate is convenient. I didn't have any of the breakfast, but while checking out it did smell like it would be good.”

• Internet access. TV OK. Location was helpful. Got to park AT the room.
• A multiple-outlet extension cord would help so much! The water stinks.

“Friendly staff. Air-dried towels, which I love. Waffle maker in the breakfast room. Could park right AT the room. Good quiet place to work. Water smells of super or something, which may be true of the whole area. As other older hotels, it needs more electrical outlets, or some extension cords.”

• It was convenient, right off the interstate, the lobby was nice and staff was awesome!
• The carpet in the room was disgusting! I wore my shoes the entire time and took them off each time before I got into bed.

“In addition to the nasty floors, I wore my socks once, and they were black just after walking to the bathroom! When I pulled the sheets back, I automatically look at them due to that I used to work at a resort for 5 years and they had hairs all over them like body hair it was disgusting! So I called and immediately they had the head housekeeper come and change them and she was very polite and apologetic! But it was still the fact of the matter! Otherwise, the hotel was nice.”
