• I didn't like anything.
• The room did not accommodate my family

“Although the hotel was pretty, we were given a room with a king bed which did not accommodate my family. I had called the hotel to be sure we had 2 queens and was told we did plus a roll away. The staff was polite but said they couldn't do anything about it. We did not sleep comfortably and were in town for a funeral.”

• Easy to find.
• I could not get a double. I had to purchase another room to satisfy by business traveler.

“The hotel was close to restaurants and was clean. The hotel staff seemed irritated with guest. I needed a room with two beds and was told that there wasn't a double available. I ended up purchasing another room and going over my budget. I could have reserved a room in the nicest hotel in Beaumont or in a nearby casino for what this trip ended up costing me.”

• Lots of parking.
• Not real interested in making it right.

“I had booked 2 rooms in the hotel (one for my wife and me, one for my daughter). One was on the 8th floor, the other on the 1st. The only room they said that was available was a smoking room - they said there were no other ones available. The room smelled heavily of stale cigarettes. We asked them to spray the room - which they did, but the smell simply permeated everything made of fabric. One of the elevators didn't work, and it didn't appear as if getting it fixed was a priority. This is an okay hotel, but certainly not worthy of the 3-star rating on Priceline.”

• The hot tub/whirlpool was not working correctly.

• The location was great, clean and appealing.

“It appears the hotel was used for a crew of out of town workers. They were having a party in the pool area and it was very uncomfortable for me so I didn't get an opportunity to use the pool/spa.”

• Staff met my needs.
• It had a chaotic feel to it, there was a lot going on, maybe because of the atrium style of the lobby.

“Room was clean and well appointed. Room service and housekeeping were slow to answer or I had to leave a message. Room service breakfast closed at 11:00 and they were not willing to cook me some breakfast at 11:05. The room service food was quite good, though.”

• The room was beat up.

“I will never stay at this hotel on purpose. It was recently remodeled, poorly. There is a waterfall in the atrium that was very loud and made the whole place dump. The room is outdated and beat up. One of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in some time. The AC rattled incessantly, so I asked them to send maintenance to fix it while I was gone in the afternoon. Their solution was to turn it off, so I came back to a 90 degree room with an AC that still rattled. I asked, and they said they were completely full and couldn't move me.”

• I Liked the nice big room.
• I did not like the heavy chlorine smell in the lobby from the fountain.

“I spent three days there. They made sure I new where everything was, I parked in the back and the attendant walked around back to help me with my bags. There was plenty of coffee available. I plan to stay there again. Excellent place to stay.”

• It was very pretty and spacious and had everything in the room that I needed. It was clean and attractive and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
• We were on the sixth floor but it did not have a nice view at all. The property next door was deserted and run down.

“It was an excellent place to stay. The lobby was spacious and nice. The pool was indoors and heated. The room were attractive, roomy and had everything we needed for our stay.”

• No refrigerator or mw. breakfast buffet was not to Holiday Inn standard.

“Very modest Holiday Inn hotel. Lobby area is dated and could use a remodel. Beds were great with extra pillows. No refrigerator or mw. Breakfast buffet is not up to the typical Holiday Inn buffet you would expect. Cold items on the hot bar. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean.”

• I was locked out of my room for 4 hours.

“I spent 4 hours locked out of my room from 12 am to 4 am. I was not happy. It ruined my entire trip.”

“The first room I received had urine all over the toilet seat and hairs in the tub. The second room had hair all over the toilet, tub, and floor in the bathroom. It had curly hairs inside one of the beds. After approaching the manager he was going to send housekeeping. One hour later the bed was changed but the bathroom still was not clean. Once I approached him again, they sent them to clean again. Still they did not clean the floor--hair in the corners. The carpet was dirty in the second room. I was very unsatisfied with the un-cleanliness of the room.”

• The air conditioner went out in the middle of the night.

“The air conditioner went out in the middle of the night and the hotel gave us free breakfast the next morning the carpet was soaking wet because something burst to cause the air conditioner to go out and our clothes and shoes got wet. I really liked the hotel and got it for a good price well worth it except for that. Would go again things happen but I believe in accommodating the customer.”

• The room was nicely decorated. TV and movie selection was great.
• The "atrium" smelled like smoke and chlorine. It was pretty bad.

“This hotel was worth the price, and I would stay here again. The best part of the stay was the room itself. They have been redone, and are nicely decorated. The worst thing about the hotel was the public spaces. They were clean and usable, but the atrium had a strong chlorine smell. Noise carried in the atrium as well, but was not a problem for me at night.”

• Hotel maintenance staff entered room without permission.

“Our stay was overall a good one. There was a note in the room about mice, we didn't see any, but when I left the room I noticed two maintenance personnel knocking on my door, they waited awhile then unlocked the door and entered I went in to see what they were doing, they were supposedly checking a mouse trap, maybe I am wrong but if a customer has checked into a room and for only one night stay, no one should enter that room, it's a violation of privacy in my opinion.”

• Not getting a choice of smoking preference and getting a smoking room.

“We arrived late and unfortunately the place was full; I think that's why we were assigned a smoking room, and the desk agent never gave us a choice. Still, the room was clean and I only noticed the smoke smell in the bathroom. The water pressure was barely adequate for the eighth floor, and I think the shower had a restrictor that kept the hot water temp at a minimum. Also, the waitress gave us a breakfast coupon (even though she probably was not supposed to) and that was very nice. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the room. Especially since we paid about half the going rate. I've always found small to medium cities difficult to get a great deal because there's not a lot of competition.”

• "Embassy Suites" style hotel was great except that evening there were lots of kids and it was loud.
