• Clean room, friendly staff
• Breakfast buffett

“Very nice hotel. Breakfast buffett was not good. Food was cold, no milk, no juice, no coffee. I showed up 30 minutes before the buffett was closed, but it should have been kept up. I received a free coupon supposedly worth $8.95, the good thing is it didn't cost me any money. If I would have been an hour earlier it may have been okay.”

• Very friendly staff 5 stars for friendliness.
• Staff not trained enough to satisfy expectations of a seasoned traveler.

“Very friendly staff but don't expect much if an accident happens like spilling hot coffee on yourself from a crusty gummed up in room coffee maker. Initial response was timely but follow up to what could have been a major liability for the hotel was non existent. Never even got a call from the GM. Things that are usually free in other Marriott's are charged for here i.e.: $9.00 for a do it yourself waffle. Also my patio door was left wide open after cleaning allowing a squadron of large flies to enter causing me to swat flies for almost an hour. I offered to buy them a new keyboard and mouse to replace the worn out antique one they had in their business center but they declined to accept. Other than that the staff was hands down the friendliest staff I have ever come across in years. It's my feeling that the owners of this franchise have this staff on a short budget so I do not blame the staff.”

• The very comfortable bed and pillows.
• Patio door locked; hard water deposits in iron.

“Great hotel, very clean, wonderful pillows on the bed. Staff was friendly, location easy to find from the interstate. Smooth quiet elevators, I did not hear elevators or vending at night. A great respite for a business traveler.”

• The pool was very warm.
• Smokey room, no complimentary breakfast, no kitchenette. We chose 2 1/2 stars hoping for those factors, we were very disappointed.

“This is a lovely hotel, if you want 3 stars. The staff was eager to serve, the rooms were spacious, the free newspaper in the morning at our door was a surprise, and the access to internet on the computer in the lobby was great, even the cute little sticker on the toilet paper was a nice touch. ”

• The quality of the hotel, room and service far exceed a 2 1/2 star hotel. We only stay at this hotel when we visit our children in blue springs.
• I do wish they had a full time restaurant and bar.

“The rooms are always exceptionally clean and well stocked. Also, the beds and pillows are incredible. I sleep as well as at home. One thing we love is the "real" coffee mugs and glasses in the rooms instead of plastic or Styrofoam. The overall experience is excellent.”

• Location, quick access to interstate.
• Smell of sewage in room, obviously from flooding of toilet.

“Stayed in this hotel previously and had a good experience. Room smelled of sewage as if room had been flooded previously. Awful! Based on that experience I would not recommend this hotel. That's unacceptable. Also, no free breakfast. There a lot of breakfast options but expensive.”

• It was clean and smelled good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
• The breakfast offered was a little pricey.

“Overall our stay was very nice. Timely room cleanup and service made us feel welcome. The hotel and rooms did not have that hospital smell or any other chemical smell. Everything was clean and presentable.”

• The rooms were huge and they served a really good breakfast in the lobby.
• The hot tub seemed a little dirty.

“The hotel was really clean and well-kept. The room was very big and nice. Liked that they had coffee in the lobby all the time for free. The pool and exercise room was really nice. Ate breakfast in the lobby (had to pay). The food was excellent!”

• The whole hotel is very clean and nicely decorated.
• Needs snack vending machines on each floor, not just the ground floor.

• Room was terrific, printers in lobby were helpful, and Turner Classic Movies is always a nice bonus.
• They might have provided a minimal continental breakfast, but I can't complain about this great hotel.

“Very nicely appointed room, excellent housekeeping, good perquisites with stay, broadband internet was offered wi-fi and traditional wired (which I prefer). A pleasure to stay there, and convenient to downtown Kansas City.”

• Discounted golf rates. Course is next door.
• Rooms had a bad odor.

“Nice hotel in a good location. I wish I would have known it had a golf course, I would have brought my clubs. Overall, it was 3 star quality. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was delicious.”

• Safe location, nice area for shopping, dinning. Best thing was drinking coffee in the morning at the gazebo.
• It was a little ways off the main road with not enough signs.

• 3rd year in row we stayed here. this year though they hassled us about asking for a room w/2 dbl beds!

• They forgot to clean our room one of the days.

• It is in the town where we used to live. Accessible to visit family and friends
• The coke machine would not accept a dollar bill. No outdoor pool.

“The hotel is clean, decorated pleasantly. They have a small dining area where you are able to purchase either a hot breakfast or continental...would be nice if continental came with the room. The menu for the breakfast is very confusing, but there are servers there to assist. It was quiet, not right in the middle of town. They do need an outdoor pool for summer months.”

“This is without a doubt the best hotel we've got. There was not a thing that could be improved. Everything was spotless, including the pool area. The room had a nonstandard furniture arrangement that provided a spacious feel while making the room seem less like a hotel room and more like a bed and breakfast. And what a great staff! We were very happy with this hotel.”

• This hotel has so many amenities for a 2-1/2 star hotel which is why we always stay there
• Can't think of a thing

“The hotel is located in an easy to access area. The rooms are very clean, nicely furnished and the beds are always very comfortable (so are the pillows). We always sleep well there and have everything we need at our fingertips.”
