• We have stayed at several hotel's in the Plaza area in Kansas City and this one by far is the best.
• Sorry couldn't find anything wrong.

• The view was amazing and the location is in perfect walking distance to the Plaza.
• Breakfast buffet was a little pricey. $16.99 a person.

“Love the view and the close location to the Plaza. We walked to restaurants and shopping and there is a Metro bus that will take you to other locations in Kansas City for only a few dollars.”

• The staff was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable, and being near the Plaza gives you plenty to do.
• The only bad thing about this hotel is that it is a difficult walk up a hill from the Plaza.

“My husband and I stayed a weekend at this hotel for our anniversary. We were looking for a quiet, romantic weekend where we could hang out on the Plaza. We arrived Friday evening and the man at the front desk was very nice. He suggested a bunch of places we could go for dinner and watch the game, and circled them all on a map of the plaza for us. The valet man was also very friendly and offered to bring in our luggage. Our room was very nice, with a view of the Plaza and a very nice king sized bed. We had a few issues with the TV, but other than that the room was great. We walked down to the Plaza several times and really enjoyed ourselves despite the fact that the walk back is quite aerobic. It just helped to work off all the wonderful food and drink I consumed down on the Plaza! Overall we had a VERY enjoyable weekend.”

• It was in walking distance to the Plaza and great shopping and entertainment!
• The person who checked us in didn't tell us how to get to our room, or anything about what there was to do or see.

• It was in a good location and had a nice hot tub.
• It wasnt very nice for the high prices and everything had an extra charge.

“It was convenient for shopping but the overall appearance could use some updating in the rooms, the restaurant was very pricey and everything had an extra charge. e.g.: parking, internet, no breakfast etc. the pictures on the internet looked really enticing but in reality it was kind a run down.”

“The hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was very well laid out and with added touches of class. King sized bed was extremely comfortable and the staff was friendly and very helpful when needing assistance. Walked to the Plaza and took the free shuttle back when it started sprinkling. I would highly recommend it!”

• Hotel is getting older, so is showing some wear and tear. Bathroom in our room could use a facelift, but was clean.

• The bed was so comfortable and clean feeling.
• I did not like the charge for in room WiFi. I missed the small fridge you usually find in a hotel room. The plumbing in the tub was in need of attend.

“The staff was excellent. The common areas were beautiful. The room was standard, although the bed was outstanding. There was a charge for in room WiFi. There was a charge for parking. Breakfast was 15.00/person for a wonderful buffet.”

• The staff was wonderful! From the staff at the front desk to the courtesy van driver, everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated.
• The room was not that sound proof. We could hear a group of kids a few rooms down from us.

“Before arrival, I called to see if I could check in early and to see if I could get a room with a plaza view. The front desk staff accommodated my requests and had everything ready when I arrived. Upon arrival, I was made to feel that my patronage was appreciated. Everyone greeted me and thanked me for being a guest of the hotel (even the maintenance worker exiting the elevator!). The staff was professional and courteous; they provided an area map and restaurant recommendations. The hotel is within walking distance to the plaza, but is on a hill - walking might not be a good idea if you aren't in the best shape. The hotel courtesy van to the plaza was a lifesaver due to the frigid temperatures; the van was prompt and the drivers were pleasant. The room was updated and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in. The only negative was that we could hear our neighbors, but luckily I had my earplugs. The excellent staff and wonderful bed made up for any minor issues.”

“Hotel and Room were very nice and clean. Employees very accommodating. We had wished we were a slight bit closer on the Plaza but had the weather been nicer that really wouldnt have mattered. It would be nice if the shuttle on week nights to the Plaza went a little later.”

• Not the best place to take children. Pool is a lap pool.

“Overall the hotel was nice. Clean rooms, easy check in, maid service was great. I stayed at the hotel with my wife and 2 boys (5 and 7). The amenities were not geared towards families. Not really a child friendly menu in the restaurant and the lap pool was not made for kids. No shallow end. I assume it would be a great location for the business person.”

“I did not like this hotel at all and would not stay at it again, When I went into the pool it was dirty, after swimming away I took a shower and the drain would not drain, our room sink made a loud noise, and even after they said they fixed it still did not work, not enough towels in the room or wash clothes, Just a very bad stay for me. And I would not stay there ever again.”

• We really enjoyed the free shuttle service to the Plaza.
• You had to pay for parking in the hotel's parking garage.

“Overall, we had a very nice stay at this hotel. I was caught very off guard when we received our bill and found out we as guests of the hotel still had to pay a fee for parking in the hotel's garage. To me, I feel this is a ridiculous charge when you are already paying for your stay at the hotel. This was the only thing that truly upset us about our stay.”

• The pool had a light floating in the water.

“Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Only a couple of things that I would say reflect a negative would be the light floating in the pool and our room key did not work and I had to go down to the front desk 3 different times before they finally sent someone up to reprogram our code on the door (this took approximately 1/2 an hour, which made us late for our dinner reservations).”

“Room was dirty, dust so thick that you could write in it (someone wrote "dust me" on the table), dead bugs on the bed, drywall on the floor and the bathroom was filthy. It took them 45+ minutes to get a manager up to the room and then was downgraded to a smaller (but clean) room.”

“Parking is not free, wireless access is almost $10; a bottled water is $4.50. No continental breakfast. The next door smoke alarm went off and was annoying. When we returned 4 hours later it was not fixed however when we reported it someone addressed problem immediately. We assumed the room was occupied-maybe it wasn't. Very impressed with staff friendliness and cleanliness of rooms (something rare at KC Plaza area hotels).”

• The pool and hot tub were absolutely filthy and disgusting!

“Although the hotel was nice, I was horrified by the hot tub and pool. The hot tub was filled with bubbles, hair, dirt, and a grimy mildew on the sides that was repulsing. Its hard to believe that they could over look that!”
