• The breakfast was fantastic. Something for everyone.
• Internet was not free like in all the other stops on our trip.

“Embassy suites were a very pleasant experience in every way. We appreciated the shuttle rides, the great breakfast, and the evening wine or beer and popcorn snack. Hanging out in the lobby was fun.”

• Hi speed wireless would make it the perfect business traveling companion, very safe & family friendly! Did not dine here so that question was not answered.
• An unexplained water spill on floor, somebody was in here while we were out sat. Am.

• This hotel exceeded my expectorations especially for the price I paid.
• This hotel possibly needs better parking for their customers.

“I couldn't believe when we checked in on Friday. Evening that they had a cocktail party for all their guests. We received 8 free drinks and the next morning we had a hot made to order full breakfast! What a surprise! Hotel decorated well and very clean.”

• The evening staff wasn't very helpful. The breakfast buffet had trouble keeping silverware/trays available.

• Misc. Minor maintenance issues observed in the room (ex. Loose screws).

“I had a good stay at this hotel. The service and wait staff were excellent. Amenities like the free shuttle and made-to-order breakfast were a bonus. I would certainly stay in another embassy suites hotel if provided the opportunity.”

• The current renovations made parking difficult.

“We had our daughter's wedding reception here. The setting, food, accommodations and service were superb. We were catered to and made to feel extremely special by all. I recommend it to everyone!”

• Newly refurbished, clean, spacious, comfortable suites.
• Dark garage and the surrounding area not the best.

“I love Embassy Suites. The rooms were very nice and spacious, recently decorated, free Internet and the hotel is beautiful. The hot breakfast buffet with omelets cooked to order and complimentary happy hour in the evening are very nice features.”

“Being a business traveler, I hardly got to stay in the hotel but I could enjoy coming back and resting. The one thing that I may need to mention here is that the fitness room may need additional equipments”

• The bathroom was so tiny that the sink/vanity was in the bedroom.

“Overall, it was great. The only problem I had was that the bathroom was so small and the toilet ran. If all the bathrooms are like this in this hotel I would not stay there again.”

• It is being remodeled and they did a great job so far.
• Have to go to garage to unload luggage.

“Huge remodel on this hotel and they are only half done. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable (they could have used better mattresses) and well appointed. Free parking in underground parking lot. Great breakfast with fresh foods and Omelet bar. Great location to most everything, walked to Sushi bar a couple blocks away on Westport. Happy hour at bar every night with free drink coupons, bartender is fabulous and very funny, they also had excellent chips and salsa. Once they complete the renovation this will be even better. I will stay here again, probably every time I go back to Kansas City, loved it.”

• Clean, newly remodeled, great staff, good breakfast buffet.
• Parking garage had a lot of blocked off areas which appear due to needs for maintenance.

“This was a good location for us, close to the plaza area. Centrally located for other KC attractions. Newly renovated rooms had nice furnishings and were clean. We felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast had a great variety of items and the made to order omelets were great. My husband and I had a great time here.”

“Hotel was great. The only problem we had was the small bathroom. The entrance was too small to accommodate a walker which my wife needs. We were unable to get an accessible room, but normally the bathroom will allow her to use a walker to enter.”

• My wife really liked the public areas; the fountain was beautiful.
• The location was not as close to the Country Club Plaza as I would have liked.

• There was someone making noise/banging in the room next to ours at about 10 a.m.

• Large rooms, free parking, good location.
• Staff seemed unprepared to serve the breakfast. Many items were empty.

“A nice place. The hotel is a bit older, but still nice. The biggest problem we had was the breakfast buffet. They ran out of many items, and it took quite a bit of time to replace them. They were out of basics like eggs, cantaloupe, bowls for cereal, knives, milk, orange juice, and a few ingredients for their exceptionally slow made-to-order omelets. It would be 10-20 minutes before some items were re-filled.”

“The room has a separate sleeping and sitting area. This hotel is under renovation and the room had a funky smell, probably associated with new carpet, paint, glue etc. Restaurant was awful. Food was ok, but the service was pitiful.”

“Lots space for the money. The fridge and Microwave make it easy to keep drinks, snacks, and leftovers ready. Free breakfast and evening cocktails are nice. 10 bucks for Internet seems steep given the other amenities.”

• This is a gorgeous hotel. Suites are typical embassy suites but corridor is exceptional and unique.
• Nothing.

“This hotel is in country club plaza area but not right on the strip making it a little more relaxed, easy access, but a bit of a walk to shop if you are on foot. The walk is worth it however as it is a truly unique and beautiful embassy-suites. The atmosphere is Spanish and the suites are roomy. My favorite 3-star in this area, I will be back.”

“I had a wonderful experience with this hotel. The shuttle will take you around the city within two miles. The driver knew a lot about the area. The people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The room was quite clean and well kept. Breakfast was average, quite a variety though.”

“Overall, this was a good stay. Our room was street side and across the street from a hospital. We did hear sirens at night. Overall, the convenient location and the comfortable surroundings outweighed the noise.”

• Underground parking was cramped and felt a little dangerous.

“My stay at Embassy Suites in the Plaza in KC was a good one. I stayed on the 12th floor, a little jarring at first given that the rooms are located around a central atrium, which meant that the balcony was 12 floors up! But on the whole it was very comfortable.”

• The desk staff was rude and service took a long time.

“We arrived late at the hotel on Sunday evening, and were greeted by somewhat unfriendly staff at the front counter. Upon checking into our first room, we found it had not been cleaned. We waited for about ten minutes while the bell man got us a key to the second room-entered the room, and it had not been cleaned either. Same thing happened on the third room. Finally-after about thirty minutes-a clean room on the fourth try. The only saving grace was the bell man. No apologies were ever made from the front desk. Worst hotel experience in years.”

• Windows not good - heard too much outside noise (mostly sirens).

“Nicely furnished, good location, staff was unable to resolve complaint about a musical instrument which played several hours late night and early morning - they could not determine where the noise came from. Also windows and sliding doors did not protect from sirens going all night long.”

“As I pulled up, I almost did not go inside, except that I had already paid. It was run down looking from the outside, and too far off the Plaza from what I had expected. Rooms ended up nice and clean, and free breakfast was a plus.”

• The staff were great. Do not believe you could beat the service anywhere.
• The heat and air system are outdated. Made the room somewhat uncomfortable.

“We really enjoyed the location. Close to the Plaza and the hotel ran a shuttle for us. The pool and hot tub area was awesome. Enjoyed the breakfast bar. Will definitely stay here again after they remodel and correct the issues with the heat and air conditioning.”

• I thoroughly enjoyed the free cocktails from 5:30 to 7:30.
• I thought it would be directly on the country club plaza, but it was several blocks away.

“The hotel had a great theme to match the country club plaza area; however it was not directly on the plaza like I thought it would be. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was great. The free shuttle was also nice.”

• The staff was the best I¿ve ever dealt with at any hotel I¿ve ever stayed.
• The room needed a little work, such as the headboard had missing pieces and the peeling paint on the balcony.

“Staff was so gracious, best I¿ve had the pleasure to be pampered by in a hotel setting. The room itself was roomy, but outdated, such as dripping faucet in the shower, paint peeling on the balcony, dark colors too.”

• Location to Westport and crown center. Awesome breakfast with very friendly staff!
• Pool was cold and our room was hot/muggy. Thermostat didn't work properly. Patio doors opened on dangerous "patio".

“Overall, we had a wonderful time. The staff was great and did an awesome job in recommending local places to eat. Enjoyed the breakfast and friendly wait staff. Our main disappointment was the temperature of the pool. Our kids were very excited to swim, but the pool was too cold to stay in for very long so their fun was cut short. Also, our room was hot and we had a hard time getting the temperature set to a comfortable temp.”

• The full breakfast and the manager¿s reception.
• The dresser drawers were awkward/off track. The cabinets were substandard compared to the rest of the room and facilities.

“Because of weather, we were unable to return home. The staff was very friendly and helpful allowing us a late check out. When the roads home were still closed, we booked the same hotel for the next night. The staff once again was very wonderful about letting us stay in the same room. This hotel was a great place to weather out the storm.”

“I noticed in the last few times, that 4 star ratings aren't being offered in cities where they used to be. This is one of them. This hotel is a definite step down from the Sheraton suites in kick country club plaza that I have stayed in the past.”

• The inside of hotel really amazed us how big it was, and the room was fantastic!
• The water pressure in the shower was terrible.

• The atrium was gorgeous.
• We were kept awake by a snow removal truck from 4 am on. It was ridiculous!

“Any other time we would have enjoyed the hotel. The night we stayed there it snowed. We were awakened at 4 am by a snow removal truck. It spent more time backing up and beeping then it did plowing. About the time this stopped, another truck came in and started scraping. Needless to say, we only got a few hours of sleep. It wasn't a very pleasant experience.”

• The hotel is nice and the location is convenient to the plaza.
• The hotel is close to the hospital and fire station. Therefore sirens are the norm.

“This hotel is a nice hotel but is primarily suited to families with children of varying ages. The elevators become amusement rides and the children are oft times very noisy.”
