• They staff gave us printed directions to a sightseeing place.

“The hotel was clean, friendly and very attractive inside and out. The rooms were roomy and very clean. The location was wonderful. We were right on I-435 making it very easy to get around Kansas City. We loved it.”

• Nice facility, typical of other Courtyard Inns.
• Poor location unless you were attending an event on at the Overland Park Convention Center.

“Nice facility ... a bit older ... but well maintained. No complimentary breakfast ... restaurant area was open for breakfast buffet at ~ $10 per person. Unless attending an event at the Overland Park Convention Center, this facility is NOT located in the best place. NO immediate area restaurants, shopping, attractions.”

• Clean.
• The hotel that we stayed gave us the key to an occupied room, very unsafe. Also in the room guide it said for dinning please list and there was none.

“This hotel in not on my list to return to as when we checked in they gave me the key to an occupied room and when we called down to the desk to let them know they just sent another person with a different key to another room. No apologies or anything.”

• The only thing I didn't like was that the breakfast was $9.99.

“Everything was very clean and everyone was friendly. The breakfast buffet was $9.99 and was not much more than a glorified continental breakfast. I would stay again and just go somewhere else for breakfast.”

• Its very clean, new-looking and beautiful.
• Only that the location was not near our children.

“Very lovely, upscale, and we really enjoyed the stay. Wish they would make local calls free, as our cell phone died. A tall building with nice views of the surroundings and careful landscaping.”

“I am a frequent business travel and have stayed at many Courtyards. This hotel did not have a room coffeemaker or a hair dryer in the room. I'm not sure if it is true of all rooms at this Courtyard. This disappointed me.”

• The hotel is closely situated to superior shopping and dining in Leawood. The staff is very nice.
• A weird, unpleasant, gaseous odor permeated the whole property. Its elevators are unnervingly, appallingly slow.

“Use the Nall exit off of I-435, not Metcalf! From the east (from Missouri), the Nall exit is paired with the Roe exit.”

• The rooms were very nice especially with the extra couch/coffee table area.
• The comforters on the beds were thin and not plush at all.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard Marriott. The rooms were very nice. The extra lounge area in the rooms were very nice. The lobby with the fireplace was nice and my kids had a good time in the pool. We were very satisfied.”

“Good location - Only problem was with the shower in the morning. Water went from cold to hot to cold. You either froze or got scalded and sometimes lukewarm.”

• It was an overnight get away and very pleasant.
• There is nothing that we did not like.

“Hotel is in a great area, right off the highway, room was wonderful, restaurant in the hotel made in even that much better. Swimming and exercise room were great. Out door gazebo was very nice and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the front desk people were very polite and helpful.”

• The beds were comfortable.
• There was garbage on the floor that my daughter found under the bed.

“Overall, this hotel was ok, but not great. There was garbage under the beds, one of the elevators was broken so there was a really long wait, but otherwise it was ok.”

• Easy free parking, very nice lobby with big screen, free internet, indoor pool.
• No free breakfast.

“This was the last hotel we stayed at on our trip. We stayed in two other 3 star hotels that may have been more plush and larger but they charged you for parking, no internet included, and no breakfasts. I would rather stay at courtyard Marriott anytime for the ease of stay and convenience. This hotel was great and stay was very restful.”

• Very Clean Comfortable Good accommodations, Nice Spacious bathroom/tub.
• Pillows were too flat for my tastes. The only non-100% positive experience.

“I was in town for an all weekend event and wanted a nice clean comfortable relaxing place to get the few hours of sleep a night I would get. The bed and the room fully met those expectations. It is a bit awkward to find...perhaps a few better directions to locating it would help (It's past the Sheraton off of College Blvd, for example). Loved the nice big bathtub for relaxing in after a long day. Did not get to use the other facilities... but would love to come back when I have more time to try them out as well!”

• Very friendly staff. I had a problem and the staff took care of it.
• Housekeeper was using the phone in our room to make calls. We were being charged for it. When I called front desk, they took care of problem.

“This hotel was beautiful. Even though every room had a view of the parking lot, you could see the city as well. The only problem I had was with a housekeeper. Local calls were not free and when my husband and I were charged for local calls we didn't make, I contacted the front desk. They gave me the number that I had supposedly called and when I called it, a woman answered and wanted to know what I wanted. When I started to explain the situation, she immediately started speaking Spanish and tried to say that she didn't understand. Then she hung the phone up. I contacted the front desk again and explained the situation. The gentleman not only reversed the charges for the local calls, he also gave us free breakfast the next morning in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was great and other than the small problem, the hotel was wonderful!”

• The buffet was excellent, the staff were very courteous.
• Pop and drink machines did not work on two floors.

“I loved this hotel. The bed was so comfortable. (The best we have ever slept on in any hotel). We liked being on the top floor with a view. We would definitely stay there again.”

• The hotel is easy to find and in a nice area. I felt safe and the hotel was very clean. Great value.
• I do not have anything negative to share about my experience.

“I would stay at this hotel again. Very clean hotel in all areas. Friendly staff and efficient at check-in. The room smelled fresh and was well decorated. Also had a great view with large room windows. The room windows do open to let the outdoor breeze into your room. A very nice plus. But I would caution parents with small children. Be extra careful if you are on an upper floor level.”

• This was the noisiest hotel ever.

“The hotel was great except for the noise. It wasn't the other guests; it was the facility. Between the thermostat and the water pipes, it was so noisy it woke us up several times during the night. We won't stay there again.”
