• Comfortable, friendly, upscale.
• The hot tub was broken, which is a big negative for us.

“Staying there was a great experience other than the fact that the hot tub was broken the whole time we were there. Using a hot tub during our hotel stay is a major requirement for us.”

• The floor you exit to get to the car park outside smelled really bad like animals.

• I liked the free Internet access in the business center and in the lobby. I also liked the flat screen in the bed room.
• I didn't have a refrigerator, the pool was not what I expected to be, the elevator to the parking lot was very warm.

“The hotel was ok, but I just did not like some of the things. I wish there were more food opportunities within the hotel. Perhaps a cafe.”

“This is more of a business hotel. The rooms are attractive and beds comfortable. Excellent parking. The restaurant is under renovation. We had a late night sandwich that was very good and different.”

“I will always stay in this hotel when visiting the Kansas City/Overland Park area. It was very tastefully decorated, very modern and well-maintained. Beautiful place!”

• I really liked the amenities that were available!
• I didn't like the person that ran the gift shop - he was very rude! I complained to Guest Services, and they said they had complaints about him.

“Very nice and impressive. The valets were very nice and courteous. The only complaint I had was that the jacuzzi (hot tub) was not hot, and the person that ran the gift shop was incredibly rude! Otherwise - I would stay there again.”

• Cleanliness and great location.
• Hallway rooms slam shut and make noise. Wish there could be slower closing doors.

“We would stay there again and would recommend it. Rooms were very clean and front desk personnel were very nice. Only concern was the way the room doors tend to slam shut -- making a loud noise which is unsettling at night when trying to go to sleep.”

“This is an excellent choice for business travelers with business in the overland park/Lenexa area. It is a stylish hotel, but I do not recommend the restaurant.”

“The hotel was very nice and it would have been a good experience but we had no sleep due to a group of loud drunk people slamming doors, drinking and partying until almost 4 a.m. on our floor.”

• Beds were extremely comfortable.
• Too remote for younger children. No fast food places close by.

“This hotel was excellent in most ways. The bathrooms were clean and well furnished with necessities. My only complaint was that we put our cars in the valet parking and was not able to walk to other restaurants for diner. The restaurant looked great, however not for four small children. Although, I would come back with my husband.”

• I liked the room furniture and the bathroom facilities.
• The hotel could use covered parking. Internet access not easily accessible.

“I will recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. For those who like to watch television, the hotel is a bit down scale. I've previously stayed at a same star rated hotel with led televisions. Over the entire hotel is very good.”

• Overbooked no parking, hair in the shower.

“We arrived around 8:00p to find the entry way jammed with cars waiting for valet service. Check in went smoothly and we were assigned a nice room. Due to all of the events going on we had to park in the convention center parking which was a 1/4 mile away. When showering the next day I found a lot of black hair in the tub, neither my wife or I have black hair. The lobby was very nice and modern and I was able to get a wireless Internet connection there. There is the ability to do the check out on the tv which makes it convenient as well. With exception to the parking and the hair in the tub, it was a nice hotel and experience.”

• Room was smaller than advertised, no free breakfast like at most places

“Over all I did enjoy my stay very friendly people , guest were friendly, room was very clean. I was just disappointed that it was not the size that was advertised. I stayed at Comfort Inn for the same price and had a microwave in the room plus a fridge and got the free breakfast the next day. These were the things that I was expecting from such a nice place as that. I do Thanks very much though this really helped to save on our trip. Have a blessed day Mrs. Horn”

“I loved this hotel. Very smooth flow of the parking/building/pool - fast elevators - very nice. It was a non-hectic stay and didn't have to walk all over the place to find what I was looking for in the hotel. Definitely would stay there again.”

• The Parking availability was great.
• No complimentary breakfast.

“We really enjoyed out stay at the Sheraton. I would have only one complaint. We were unfamiliar with the area and arrived fairly late in the evening. We asked at the check in counter if there were any restaurants near by to grab some dinner and the person guided us to a mall that was about a mile and a half away. The next day we found out that there were restaurants just down the street from the hotel.”

• Smoking smell in our room was unbearable.

“We were unable to get a non smoking room and this ruined our stay. I will not take that chance again in the future. As it is, in the future I will make reservations in advance and stay in a non smoking room in tier of hotel like the Hampton Inn. They are every bit as nice and cost half as much.”

• Looks like they push valet parking but take a quick left at the entrance and pull around back.

“Nice clean rooms. Staff is great. Location right next to convention center (less than 100 feet) and off the highway. However, rooms are quiet and well maintained. Decor somewhat masculine but classy. Great value.”

• Long wait for valet service at check-in. Later learned that the guest must go to valet station for service.

“The hotel is very clean. The staff is all about service and meeting your needs. Pool excellent. Kid friendly. Easy parking and front door service. Lots of great shopping and excellent restaurants close. I would definitely say that you will not find a better hotel in Kansas City.”

• what I got was a smoking, business meeting room with a couch/pullout bed" which is totally inexcusable."

“the hotel is great, but they put me in a meeting room on a smoking floor that didn't even have a bed in it. it also didn't have a data port. making me sleep on a couch with a pullout 'bed' in a 3 star hotel is inexcusable. if I were running your business, I would provide either a full refund or a free night at a future date.”

• First night I slept on a fold out couch in a smoking room

“When told I would arrive late in the evening my requests for a non-smoking room were responded with a sarcastic it's based on availability at the time". Once arrived at 10:30pm I was told the hotel was completely booked and I was put in a smoking hospitality suite with a fold out couch to sleep on. Whether true or not, I did not feel the staff was sympathetic to my concern of the situation. As a result, I didn't sleep, had allergies from the smoke, and felt miserable all the following day. The hotel had all the amenities I expected."”

• That I had to pay for Valet parking and the breakfast buffet was not worth the expense

“We were greeted by valet parking. At the front desk, our reservation was found quickly and the attendant volunteered to help in any way the hotel could to make our stay more comfortable. Our room was spotless and comfortable and quiet. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and were served with white linen table coverings and napkins. The food was delicious and reasonable. We would recommend the hotel to everyone.”
