• Pool and public area are very nice, hotel room is clean and spacious.
• It's a little far from Kansas city, but there's a lot of restaurant around.

“This hotel offers great amenities and comfortable environment. Room is very clean and nice. You can ask for a room with sofa bed for kids traveling with you. Coffee tasted very bad, but their breakfast buffet looks decent ($9.5).”

• All-you-can-eat breakfast, pool, Wi-Fi, layout, quiet, close to restaurants.
• No fan in bathroom, no little refrigerator or microwave.

“Overall, a good hotel. My husband had just returned from a year in Iraq and we wanted to have a couple of days to ourselves. Our room was very clean and quiet for the 2 nights we stayed there, on a Thursday and Friday. The king-size bed was comfortable. There are lots of nice places to eat nearby.”

“Overall, was a good visit, the only trouble I had was when I called the person at the hotel said she could not make changes to my room. Maybe that needs to be clarified, but they were very helpful once I arrived.”

• Nice pool area and Courtyard, fast check-in.
• Expensive breakfast.

“This hotel is perfect for business people and families alike, though families may opt for the McDonalds down the road rather than spend $10/person on what I find to be standard (Aka typically free) breakfast fare in the morning. That being said, there is a nice coffee and lounge area as well as a well maintained center Courtyard with pool.”

• Would have used a very small refrigerator & maybe a microwave in addition to coffeemaker.

“Well kept grounds, clean rooms/lobby/halls. Quiet at night, attractive, comfortable newer bedding & drapes. Nice balcony seating area overlooking courtyard. Spacious rooms. For longer stays, we'd like a small refrigerator in the room.”

“The hotel gave us directions to the major attractions from the point of the hotel. It made it really easy to get to some of our favorite destinations. The pool temperature was perfect. We had a great stay.”

• Very nice rooms and very comfortable beds.
• Fire alarm problems kept us awake.

“Very nice Marriott courtyard. The hotel claimed a prankster kept tripping the fire alarm, and the hotel offered a free breakfast to compensate us. Sadly, I didn't have time to partake of the breakfast since I reset my alarm to the latest I could possibly get up in order to get more sleep since I¿d been woken 2 times by errant fire alarms. As there were a couple of buses of school-kids there, I suspect it might very well have been a prankster involved. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and I¿d certainly give them another chance.”

• Little details; trash left on the sink. The first clerk couldn't find my reservation. The handles on the closet were loose or broken. The trash was OV.

• The bed was the most comfortable bed I¿ve ever slept in (including my own). Where can I buy one?
• There were not enough pool towels in a.m. (only 3), and outside door in room wouldn't open.

“Overall, I really enjoyed our short stay, and would like to stay at this location. The only things I were disappointed by were the lack of pool towels, price of breakfast buffet (which was not posted anywhere- didn't know how much it was until I got the check), and when I checked in, the staff told me there were no restaurants in the area that delivered that late (it was about 10:30 p.m.). However, I took a chance, and found one that did deliver. Also, the only vending machine was a soda machine; it would have been nice to have a snack machine also.”

• The location was great, 10 minutes from family.
• Provide a canteen with various food items.

“The room was bright and cheerful with a very comfortable bed with a down comforter and numerous pillows. The TV was on a dresser to the left of the bed which made it somewhat hard to see. There were plug ins on the base of every lamp which was convenient for plugging in adapters for cell phones, etc. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi were very inviting.”

“The amenities were excellent. I also had a problem b/c I left my pillow (a specialty pillow) and called about it less than 6 hours after we left the hotel and it still has not been resolved a week later. Most of the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs for directions and anything like that and was VERY nice! The pool was great too. Good location, very inexpensive. We really enjoyed our trip to KC.”

• The room and decor were fantastic! The king size bed with additional couch were a bonus.
• Can't think of anything I did not like.

• Traffic noise.

“This hotel is perfect for the business traveler. Although if you plan on traveling with your spouse you may be slightly disappointed. The Marriott on Holmes road will delight you with complimentary flavored creamers and wonderful coffee. Plush towels of high quality, blankets are extremely soft and of high quality also. The exercise room at this location on Holmes Rd. has up to date equipment and quiet atmosphere. However This Marriott at the Courtyard has none of these amenities and is on a busy road, very noisy. Check out your AC unit for noise level and the water pressure and draining of the tub are terrible. however, the benefits to this hotel at the Courtyard is it's location for shopping and dining. Travel a little more and stay at the Holmes Rd for a great atmosphere.”

• Ice machine wasn't working. No warning about parking lot being blocked due to new asphalt.

• The beds were good.
• Wrong room type, given two rooms on opposite sides of hotel, handicap room, Internet was not free as posted, very difficult staff to work with.

“The hotel itself was nice, however I booked two rooms at the same time, under the same confirmation number and after requesting to be together we were put on opposite sides of the hotel. When checking in she said there would be a pull out couch but when we got the room there was only a king size bed for 3 of us. This hotel had by far the most difficult staff to work with. The website and in the hotel said that there was free Internet but when you connected it wanted to charge you. Overall this hotel promised a lot and did not deliver anything.”

• The breakfast being offered was an additional charge.

“Overall, this hotel is one that suits my needs. It's clean, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and the rooms are spacious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this location. It's not too far from the freeway and there is a host of major department stores within a few blocks. This hotel definitely receives a 10 from me!”

• The courtyard was a nice place to sit and read/eat. The pool/whirlpool were a plus.
• There was no refrigerator in the room. There was no continental breakfast.

• Interior renovation is very well designed.
• The coffee provided in the room and the lack of equipment in the exercise room.

“My stay was very enjoyable. The room was very well designed and clean. Front desk people are friendly and helpful and the late check out can be extended to 2pm. I did not have breakfast at the hotel so I can't comment on that.”
