• The room was quiet (very important to me) very lux bedding is also important. Great room service food and hot tub/Starbucks!
• No spa treatments offered.

• The alarm clock went off at 6:00 a.m. and after that every 5 minutes. Could not unplug or stop it.

“I think Alarm clocks should be asked for to get at front desk. Lights on clock were like full sunshine in room/even towel over it did not help. Being woke up on weekend at 6:00 a.m. was awful.”

• Clean, updated modern decor.
• Slow elevator, stairs not marked well, exits.

“Great location, clean, have nice workout area, pool. Just the exit to the stairs were hard to find. They need a bench to sit at by elevator for people who can't stand and wait for elevator long. Had a women waiting next to me who had to go back to her room.”

• The expensive phone call my youngest daughter made.

• Friendly staff, good location, meet all my expectations.
• Bad coffee. A standard 4-cup coffee maker would help.

“The only negative I can think of is the in-room coffee. That was fixed by going to Starbucks which is located within the complex.”

• Under construction. Elevator not working. Difficult to get to room!

“This place would be perfect had it not been for the lobby construction. It is a short-term issue. Appears it will be very nice when completed. The room was great. Location was also great. Access to major intersection. Lots of places in walking distance.”

• Still under construction.

“Again, you should tell people that this place is all torn apart as part of the bidding process. I had to move brick paver that were left in the sidewalk out of the way so nobody would trip on them. Half of the lobby is done, that's a plus. Maintenance is poor, the shower head sprayed all over the ceiling,(I tightened it the best I could) the letters are worn off the TV remote. I stayed at this hotel before the remodel and had to be moved out of my room because of visible mold. The room I just stayed in smelled of mold also.”

• The colors in the rooms were nice.
• Room did not have a good radio system that I could play Cd's or DVDs in it. Also the room did not have a microwave.

“The hotel was located very conveniently near everything. The staff was great. I was treated like royalty for the five minutes that I had contact with the front desk. The room was very nice and the bedding was second to none. I always liked a comfortable bed and this hotel did not disappoint. For the price, I enjoyed my stay here better than the Sheraton.”

  very well appointed. Really comfortable beds.
• Lobby and restaurant construction. Inconsistent climate control in room. Poor lighting in room.

“Hotel rooms just renovated and really nice. Bed was incredibly comfortable. In-room climate control was a bit spotty: either too cold or too warm. Biggest negative was room lighting, especially at the desk. Way too dark for doing work. Hotel is currently having the lobby and restaurant re-done, so lots of construction. Noise was not an issue, though.”

“Was anxious to use the pool but the heater was broken. Had to have maintenance come and start the hot tub. My sheets were stained and the morning we left the stool wouldn't flush. Our room was on the side next to the interstate so it was very noisy.”

• The location was convenient, the staff was friendly and helpful, heavenly bedding.
• I did not like having to pay for Wi-Fi. Too many hotels that offers free Wi-Fi and for business travelers this is inconvenient.

“Overall I had a wonderful stay. I called the front desk three times for different information and trouble with the internet connection and all three times I received friendly, prompt information and help. I was impressed with the service from the hotel. I also slept like a baby on the wonderful bedding that Marriott has chosen to use on their beds.”

• The room was newly remodeled - smelled and looked very clean.
• Remodeling was still ongoing in other rooms on my floor.

“The bathroom was spotless. That's my number one concern. The rest of my newly remodeled room was great too. The remodeling is still ongoing - could be noisy if you want to sleep in.”

• The hotel has a beautiful flower garden in front of the entrance and a nicely-decorated lobby area.
• The room smelled slightly smoky with the air conditioning off.

“The Marriott Hotel Overland Park has a great location near major highways and is easy to find, with spacious parking all around. The hotel is clean and stylishly-furnished inside and out, even with a major construction/renovation project taking place on various floors within the hotel and outside. The hotel staff is pleasant, friendly, and helpful. I recommend this hotel very highly for all types of travelers. Excellent!”

• It would have been nice to include breakfast.

“Great location. Free, convenient parking. Very nice and helpful staff. Lobby was beautiful. Our kids LOVED the indoor/outdoor pool. We used the exercise room 2 or 3 times and it was nice. Beds were comfortable. Only negative--the first room we were assigned to had a musty odor, but the staff was great and got us another one right away. There are renovations going on, but the hotel made sure that the noise level was tolerable. It didn't bother us a bit.”
