• Updated, clean room/hotel at a great price.

“This hotel is next to the KC airport. We stayed after a concert held at the Starlight Theater. The hotel is not far from downtown KC - about 15minutes. Nice, updated hotel at a great rate.”

• The room was very nice and spacious. Loved the living area.
• The beds were small. The air freshener smell in the halls was a bit strong.

“This hotel was great. I would stay here again the next time I am in the area. It was nice to have a mini-deli for those late night snacks and different breakfast items. The rooms were very spacious and was really nice to have a couch in the living area for resting instead of having to lay on the bed to watch TV - which was a great flat-screened HD TV.”

• Comfortable beds. Attractive decor. Giant TV. No extra charge for 3rd person in room.
• Hard to find anything wrong. Maybe could have used a bit more choice in the free breakfast.

• The room layout is very efficient and provides a suite-like atmosphere.
• Although the gym weight machines are new, they're too complicated for a travelling person and not very useful.

“A very clean and comfortable hotel with a service-oriented staff standing by to help in whatever way necessary. The hotel is very close to the airport without having the noise and easily accessible to Interstate 29.”

• My room had large flat-screen TV, couch, sink, fridge, excellent layout for bathroom.
• Cannot think of a thing.

“When, I walked in, I was immediately impressed. Very nice decor. I wasn't expecting what I saw when I walked in my room. Very spacious. A mini-suite with sectional couch, sink and frig. It was outstanding. The free breakfast in the am was another added surprise to me. I was only there long enough to sleep, shower and leave in the a.m. I wish I could have stayed longer. Very nice.”

“This is a fantastic hotel that any business traveler should consider. It is minutes from the Airport and has all the amenities of a great hotel. Rooms are fantastic and allow for separation for work and rest. Also a great place for businesses to host people from other areas.”

• No hot food for continental breakfast.

• The hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating.

“Beautiful, comfortable, large rooms complete with nearly every amenity; big flat screen TV's; next to highway for easy travel around the city. Hotel staff was the best we have encountered, from those who clean the rooms to the manager of the hotel. Very friendly, polite, professional and accommodating to clients. Would love to stay there again when traveling to KC.”

• Room was a suite with wet bar, desk, couch, 52" plasma TV.
• Not much. I wish that hotels would put in a thermostat controlled AC.

“Hotel staff was great at check in. Room was a suite with wet bar, desk, (I don't know about internet, didn't use), couch with coffee table. Two queen size beds in our room with 52" plasma TV. Bathroom was spacious. Rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. There was a pool area and exercise room that we didn't use. The hotel had a continental breakfast. Again we didn't use the continental and opted for a walk across the parking lot to a waffle house for breakfast.”

• The decor of the room was very modern and plush. Loved the big screen TV!
• Out door pool with no hot tub/Jacuzzi.

• It was clean.
• They had no blankets for the sofa sleeper and you could feel the bars across your back.

“No housekeeping staff. If you needed anything you had to go to the front desk to get it yourself and they had no extra blankets for the pull out sofa bed.”

• L left a baby blanket there and they said they couldn't find it.

“I had a good experience at this hotel. The people there were friendly and it was in a good location near the airport. The only complaint is that they did not try very hard to find that blanket that was given as a gift from grandparents.”

• I did not get enough time to enjoy the amenities.

“Where to begin? We arrived late into the hotel. The clerk was apologetic that they had begun the night audit and checking us into the hotel would take a few extra minutes. Even checking us in manually was faster than some other hotels can do automated. Everywhere was clean and spotless. The rooms are quite and comfortable. We came downstairs after breakfast, and everything was immaculately clean. The staff were all smiles and we had a wonderful.”

• Front Desk personnel seemed a bit in experienced, but it was fine.

“This is an awesome place to stay. Everything is very new, clean and shiny. Rooms are very well appointed with 48" flat screen TV's, wet bar, small refrigerator and wall safe. I will be on the lookout for Hyatt Place hotels in other markets.”

• Nice design, comfortable beds.
• Loud A/C, poor sound proofing, dirty linens.

“Property is like all the other new Hyatt Place properties and as such, suffers the same problems as the Amerisuites properties that were converted into the new brand. Rooms are nicely decorated with plenty of light and a large 42" LCD, fridge, and free internet. Beds are comfortable, although not as comfortable as the Grand Beds at the full service properties. Linens have been marginally clean however. The main problems are the old A/C units that are very loud and the poor sound proofing between rooms and halls. Overall a decent property, but better properties can be found in the area.”

• That it is connected to Union Square.
• The towels and bathroom was not clean at all.

• The room was large and comfortable, and the HD 42" screen TV was fantastic.
• There was no Laundromat to wash clothes. Our HBO channel did not come in for 3 days of our stay.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable. The 42" Hi-Def TV was awesome. The location was great. We were able to drive where we wanted to go with no problems.”

• The hotel public areas are under renovation.

“This hotel will be awesome once the renovations to the public areas are completed. Great room, incredible TV, modern decor. They even set up the crib before we got there, and their driver delivered my forgotten cell phone to the airport before my flight!”

• The bed was hard and no notification that water was going to be shut off.

“The hotel is conveniently located. The staff for the most part was friendly, however when I explained to them that I would have expected some kind of communication as to the water shut off, they apologized and said that there was "only" about 50 people registered in the hotel and that they didn't would have been too many people to call. When I suggested other forms of communication in an attempt to notify their patrons, they didn't really seem to care much about the customer service.”

• The room was clean with clean linens and I especially liked having a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room.
• The only negative was the beds could have been more firm.

“Clean, bright hallways, very friendly staff that was very accommodating to your needs. Good breakfast and secure building. We were there over a terrible ice storm weekend so that made our stay a little more nerve-racking; however, I would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• I got two smoking rooms and that was upsetting.
