- The bed and pillows were in new condition but very uncomfortable.

- Known dog issue that wasn't resolved,
no sleep for night.
“Staff knew there was a unregistered dog issue that barked until 10 pm and again at 6 AM. restaurant was undermanned and slow, waiting a combined 1 hour for various things. The whole point of staying was to not drive back to Iowa but stay and rest.”

- Bar staff was totally inept.
“Great breakfast staff but very limited options. Menu was priced so if you didn't go with the buffet you had almost no choices at all. It was easier and much less expensive to go to the Waffle House down the road. Evening staff was totally inept and though our table was only 10 feet from the bar and there were only 20 people in the bar we couldn't get a drink in 45 minutes and we finally left to go somewhere else to have one drink.”

- The room was awesome. We ended up with a two room suite arrangement and thoroughly enjoyed it.
- The door to the room stuck a little and had to be pushed/pulled hard to close.

- Dirty rooms and dirty hotel in general.
“This hotel was a complete disappointment! It is rated as a 3 star hotel and it is severely overrated. The first room that I was put in was on the outside of the hotel, not ideal as I a.m. female and travel alone. The second room that I was moved to, smelled so badly of urine. It was terrible. The linens were in need of replacement and the whole hotel needs to be renovated, there seems to be some attempts at doing this but my 11 year old could do a better job.”

“I will not return to this hotel in the future. My expectations for a Sheraton were pretty high, but the condition of the hotel and the service was not good. We ordered room service for breakfast and the food was bad, and they did not clean our room or make the beds. No fresh towel for the bath, basically our room was never cleaned for the 2nd nights stay.”

- It was very old, outdated, rundown. We requested a king bed but got 2 doubles instead. they didn't clean our coffee maker daily.
“It was very outdated and needs refurbishing. The cleaning staff only cleaned some stuff in the room, they went 2 days without cleaning our coffee maker which we had used. There was a wedding reception on Saturday night which was extremely loud in the hotel.”

- Wonderful service, with big, clean rooms.
- Any room near the elevator is loud.
“The first night was booked solid for non-smoking rooms. So we were put in a handicap-accessible room. The room was only ok, much like a good quality Motel 8. However, we were right next to the elevator, and got absolutely no sleep. The second night, we moved one room down. This was a much nicer room. It was the small touches that were noticeably different and well appreciated. We still could hear the elevator, but it was tolerable. For various reasons, I did not get any sleep the second night. However, the staff was very lenient with the checkout policy, and I was able to sleep some into the daytime. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I would just tell them to avoid the rooms close to the elevator. Also, it seems that most of the pools in Kansas City are outdoors, including this one, so a pool is a seasonal pleasure.”

- It was good that they had a shuttle to and from the airport.
- There is nothing else around the hotel other than other hotels. If you don't have a car, you are out of luck.

“The hotel would rate higher for me if they did not have smoking rooms. We discovered that to get to the front desk from the inside, you must walk through the smoking rooms hallway. - It had the Tanner's Restaurant & Bar and it was close to the airport with a shuttle.
- Rooms were dated.
“A decent hotel, but not 4 stars. The rooms were clean, but dated. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The Tanner's Restaurant & Bar was ok. The airport shuttle service runs every 20 minutes and was very convenient. The airport is 5 minutes away, but not along the flight path, so no jet noise.”

- It was very close to the airport and other local attractions. The staff was very friendly.
- Handicapped room I requested was right by elevator shaft, I didn't get any sleep for the noise. Room service cost outlandish and not posted on menu!
“I loved that it was so close to MCI Airport and Zona Rosa for excellent shopping. The staff was super friendly and helpful with locating a handicapped accessible room. My only complaints were that the elevator shaft was on the same wall as the bed, all night you heard the elevator and its passengers talking. Definitely sleep deprived after the stay. Also, room service charged outlandish fees for service charge and delivery, almost $15.00 additional cost, not to mention the food wasn't good at all! I'd stay there again; however, I'd ask for a room away from the elevator and not be stupid enough to eat at the restaurant, especially not room service.”

- Our room was clean, and the location and facilities were excellent.
- The staff initially tried to put us in a lesser room.
“We discovered that the room had lesser finishes, and only a double bed, not the queen as promised. When I complained they resisted, but eventually moved me to a much nicer room with a king bed, evidence that they did indeed have other rooms available. They tried to place us I a less desirable room. After this initial issue, the rest of the stay was wonderful.”

- Everything in the room was worn out or old. Bathroom was terrible.
“This hotel was not up to 3-Star standards in my opinion. Everything in the room was really old. The bathroom had been re-modeled apparently with little success. The attention to detail was horrible. Everything looked like it was done by inexperienced people. This hotel needs to have some serious money spent on a total refurbishment at a bare minimum. Again, everything was old, worn out and dated. Bathroom was very bad.”

- The bed and bedding was great. Very good nights sleep. The free ride to the airport and free parking for my car-great.
- The dark hallways-having to turn corners and being a single woman-scared!
“I loved the motel, bed very comfortable, the exercise room was great (the best I have ever been in) and the people were great. I didn't like getting off the elevator and having to go down to long hallways to get to my room but opening the door to that great room made up for it. I also appreciated parking my car and riding the free shuttle to the airport. Will want this motel again.”

- Location.
- Rock hard bed & heater was loud & cycled on/off all night made for poor sleeping.
“The hotel was adequate for the appearance but for comfort it definitely failed! The heater was loud & annoying! It caused for a poor night sleep at too high a price. Definitely not a pleasant nights stay. We would have left for new hotel had we had not already paid for our room.”

- I enjoyed the comfortable beds.
- I did not like that the closet door was broken and the atmosphere of the restaurants.
“Overall the Sheraton Hotel was nice. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was also very helpful and courteous. The drawbacks for my family and I was the restaurant atmosphere was too noisy and common, meaning it wasn't a classy restaurant.”

- Clean & comfortable.
- Room location was horrible!
“I was given a room between the outside entrance door and the inside entrance door, my door was in the airlock; a space of about 6 feet. All night long, people were banging luggage through the 2 doors. Impossible to sleep!”

- Free airport shuttle and park and fly are free.
- Left item there, staff does not return calls even after repeated messages.
“The staff could use a little work, but for the money the hotel is very nice. Very close to MCI, and the free parking and airport shuttle is a plus.”
