• The staff was very helpful and customer satisfaction was their goal.
• The beds were on the small size, it's been awhile since I stayed at a hotel with double beds and not queens.

“I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again. You can tell that the hotel is undergoing some renovations, but it was not an issue. Super clean, super quiet and super friendly.... bottom line. The continental breakfast was the best that I have seen in a long time. They had hot and cold items and the staff kept everything stocked throughout the breakfast rush.”

• The bed was comfortable and the room very clean.
• The breakfast items were microwave items. Fresh rolls and fruit would have been better.

“I would never stay at this hotel again. Room was smoky. Bathroom had mildew. Interior part of door was very dirty. I felt very dirty just being in the room.”

• One of the most filthy places I have ever stayed in!

“I do not usually write negative reviews, but this place was filthy! Dirty stairway. bad mold growth in shower area. Toilet had not been cleaned or even flushed since last use. Bad odor. staff seemed inconvenienced by my presence. Definitely a no-go!”

• Free internet.
• Run-down facility's, all cement surroundings.

“Right off I20 in south Longview (considered the less popular side of Longview) near airport and LeTourneau University. Not in good area. Lots of truckers stay here. Right behind gas station. No grass for pets or leisure, pets are allowed. All shopping is 15 minutes away in North Longview, facilities need revamp.”

• The swimming pool was nice and warm.
• The mattresses in some rooms were horrible, the hotel wasn't clean and the entrances to the rooms were outside.

“I would not want to stay here again. The entrances to the rooms were on the exterior, so I did not feel safe. The rooms were not very clean. The mattresses in our first room were terrible. They were thin, and you could feel the springs. Luckily, the front desk clerk was nice enough to let me check out two other rooms. The third one had much better mattresses. The pool was nice and warm. The third day we were there, the hotel staff put a new microwave oven and refrigerator in our room. That was nice.”

• Absolutely nothing.
• When I arrived my room wasn't clean. The staff was rude when I checked in.

“I would never book another room at Baymont Inn and Suites. The only ice machine on the first floor was in the lobby area. I was assured my room would have a refrigerator and microwave. I did not in fact get either item. I needed the refrigerator to keep my insulin cold. The first room assignment was not clean when I checked in. We were assigned another room but the clerk who served me was rude and belligerent. It was not even outfitted with towels. When I went to get towels I was given three bathmats. In the morning I had to go back to the front desk to get more towels. Everything in their breakfast was starchy. It was not very healthy especially for a diabetic. This hotel was the crappiest place I have ever stayed!”

• Convenient, clean, good continental breakfast.
• We came back to the hotel in the morning before checkout to change clothes - and the maid was already cleaning out our room.

“This hotel was convenient and inexpensive for our brief stay. The hotel staff was not over friendly and the management assumed we had checked out when we had not. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and fit our basic need.”

“This is not a Baymont Hotel like their is in rest of country, this bayonet is a motel & was a La Quinta before. La Quinta sold this facility & build new up the road. Kudos 2 La Quinta, parking spaces are limited since contractors park their trucks/trailers sideways which takes up to 8 spaces & the staff does nothing about it.”

• Friendly staff, decent breakfast.
• Truck Motel right on the freeway, uncomfortable beds, overall cheap motel fee.

“This is a truck stop motel. It's definitely nothing more than a 1-star motel sitting right on the freeway. The neighborhood is terrible to say the least. There is no decent place to eat or shop anywhere close to the motel. Plus the neighborhood feels unsafe to drive through. The motel is old and this is reflected in the rooms. The beds are uncomfortable and the TVs are out of shape. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was quite average. The motel is advertised on the freeway at pretty low rates. There are quite a few similar quality motels in the neighborhood for much lower rates.”

• I liked the spaciousness of the room for the price.
• Bedspread was stained.

“We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and roominess of the motel. It did not feel crowded as many newer motel rooms do. Traveling with my two younger boys, I felt very safe. The staff was helpful, and the continental breakfast was perfect for our needs. Location is convenient for traveling between Texas and Louisiana.”

• Dirty rooms, your socks get dirty if you walk on the carpet.

“This hotel needs the rooms to be carpet cleaned and vacuum around the corner of carpet. If you look behind the stand and bed, it's really dirty. The blanket on the bed had people's hair in it.”

• I liked coffee machine and microwave in room.
• Carpet was very cheap and bunched together in spots- did NOT want to walk barefoot on floor.

• The a/c didn't work and the cribs were horrible.

“I will never stay at a liquate again. The a/c broke at midnight and we had to switch rooms with our three children. The baby crib was small and unstable and they didn't even have sheets on it. If you don't mind not having a/c and just want to sleep and go, then I guess it's good. But for a family with 3 small kids, it was very unpleasant. This is our second bad experience (no a/c in room) with la quintal.”

• It was convenient to I-20.
• Stains on the sheets. Hairs on the beds and in the tub and toilet.

“Yuk! As a two star hotel, it should lack only amenities. It should still be clean. Our room smelled like a smoking room (though it was supposed to be non-smoking). There were stains on the sheets and blankets. There was hair on the beds, in the tub and on the toilet. I wore my shoes when walking on the carpet. I was VERY disappointed.”

• Lamps did not work at all.

“This hotel met our needs for our stay. We had to drive across town for a sit-down dinner, but it did not take long. The pool was clean and felt wonderful. When we opened the door to enter, it smelled very clean (like oranges). The breakfast was good and we all found something we liked. Overall, we had a nice stay.”

• The lobby was nice.
• The Maid looked like she had been dragged through a chocolate milk puddle, and she did a job that reflected her appearance.

“The room was adequate, the furniture not shabby, the hotel lobby and breakfast area was clean, but the wait staff was scary in their appearance and did a sloppy job. Check your coffee tray for squashed roaches.”

• Vandal bashed in glass of my van; desk clerk asked me to fill out form, saying "car was stolen here last month."

“Miserable. First vandalism experienced after many years of travel, and many years staying at La Quinta Nothing of value in the car; vandal obviously just wanted to break glass.”

• Easily accessible from major thoroughfares.
• Curtains not heavy enough to block out lights.

“Was clean, quiet and convenient to our business in Long view Staff were helpful with directions. Area had variety of decent quick meal, eating establishments very near by. Room was comfortable, everything worked. Only wished the window had a heavier drape or pull down shade to block the lights of the buildings across the parking lot.”

• It was cheap. It had hi-speed internet and free breakfast.
• It was a motel style building with the room doors on the outside. The building was pretty old, but maintained well.

“This hotel is acceptable. It has high speed internet, a complimentary breakfast in the morning and daily linen service. The rooms are adequate, but make sure you get a room on the back side of the hotel so you can't hear the highway noise through the night. Overall, it's an acceptable hotel for a 2-star.”
