• Real clean, updated, late check out, close to places to eat.
• It had two full size beds instead of double.

• Close to restaurants, nice employees, clean, great TV.
• Cannot think of a thing. It was great.

“The staff was so nice and courteous. The room was very clean, and even smelled nice. The TV was great. The beds were very comfortable, and the location was quiet.”

“This is my worst experience with a reputable hotel as such. The room was lacking cleanliness throughout. We noticed a roach crawling on the microwave. The carpet and floor area appeared as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The bath tub needed resurfacing and a good cleaning. We had to go out and purchase shower shoes to access the shower and kept them on while walking on the floor/carpet. The towels were dirty and worn looking. Housekeeping only replenished towels and made the beds every other day. We were disturbed at 4am by a stray dog barking and scratching at our door. The dog continued to disturb us throughout the morning. We notified the staff and they proceeded to call animal control to get rid of it. The smell of marijuana dominated the air as we walked to and from our vehicle. In closing, overall experience was horrible and definitely not worth the price.”

• They are trying to keep it up but its an old property --beds were comfortable.
• Old has been repainted needs major updating.

“It is good. Don't expect a lot--its clean and the beds are comfortable -- just an old property that needs a total redo.”

• Hotel management didn't know how to check me in or out.

“Hotel was great however the people working there didn't have a clue to what was going on, I was actually checked out on Saturday. I came back and my room keys didn't work. I then had to go get keys again and listen to there explanation on how they didn't check me in the night before.”

• Hotel is not 2 stars. Very disappointed.
• Bath was very dirty. Bugs in hotel, it was ridiculous.

“This is definitely not a 2 star hotel. The bathroom had not been cleaned, there were bugs in the room, linen was dirty and the room had an odor. It was about mid-night when I checked in otherwise I would have walked away. I am extremely disappointed.”

• It had good restaurants nearby.
• Not a place for rest or sleep.

“The first night the beds were so hard, we doubled all the covers trying to make a pad, we slept about an hour in all. The second night, (after moving) we were in front of the pool, where people partied to almost midnight. The signs said no in that area after 10 pm. We called the desk at 10:44; the party ended an hour and 16 mins later. If you just want to watch TV or have a party, it's great, but if you need to rest or sleep, goes somewhere else.”

“The room doors are open to outside air. Poor choice for family with kids, for those who need two connected rooms or when it is raining.”

• Walls a little thin.

“When getting from place to place been involves a quick overnight stay, this is a great stop. Easy check in and check out, fair price and clean. Be sure to check price difference between 2 doubles vs. one king - the price changes.”

• The location is excellent.
• Hotel staffs were the least helpful and unfriendly that I've ever encountered.

“We have stayed at this hotel frequently and it is in an excellent location but it is slowly going down hill. The desk clerks were the worst I've ever encountered.”

• The hotel staff was friendly and efficient.
• The hotel access is difficult.

“The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was fast and our room was waiting with the air conditioning already turned on. The breakfast was a little above average for a 2-star hotel. The hotel access is difficult because of the one way freeway access road in the front and no back exit onto other roads.”

• We were able to check in super early.
• The TV would not come on. Some electrical outlets not working.

“The TV would not come on and I felt like I had to pull teeth to get another room. The room they put us in had some electrical problems. Several outlets didn't work. The coffee maker/hairdryer unit was not working. There were lights we could not use. I also called ahead and asked if our softball families could be put together. The desk clerk didn't seem to know what I was talking about.”

• Lock didn¿t work for 2 days & didn¿t fix after 1st telling them.

“Chipped paint & stained walls. Didn¿t fix lock for 2 days after telling them twice. Heating & water usage was not available. Never gave explanation 4 it. I'd drop this hotel from your inventory.”

“Convenient location but an older property. A little worn and in need of a refresh. Room was clean though. OK place to stay if you're just looking for a safe place with a bed. Has a pool. Staff was friendly. I stay at a lot of hotels and would rate this as a 2-star, no better.”

• Clean, comfortable, relatively safe, reasonably priced.
• No exhaust in the room with the toilet.

“The two beds were comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. It had a continental breakfast, not bad, but not the best. I did not check out the pool. The staff was helpful and polite. The whole place appeared to be clean.”

“I liked the hotel and in the beginning the staff was very nice and helpful. I always take a can of Lysol with me when I travel, but I found the hotel to be very clean. I even slept well the two nights of my stay. ”

“Good motel for an overnight stay on the road. Recent conversion from La Quinta makes the Baymont a better facility than it was. Meanwhile, the old Baymont is being renovated by La Quinta, should result in better accommodations in Baytown. Good to see corporate investment in this community.”

• Very close to the highway and fairly easy to get to.
• The room numbering is very confusing.

“The hotel was helping out with Katrina evacuees and so I realize things were a little different than usual but the ice machines were constantly empty and they look very old too. There were dog droppings in the parking lot. You really had to be careful where you walk. Rooms were clean. Staff pretty helpful but harried.”

• very pleasant staff, VERY clean rooms, well stocked breakfast buffet

“Even though hotel is quite old, it is very well kept. This is the third time I've stayed there in the last 2 months!! Efficient and friendly staff are always willing to meet any need I may have. I will definitely stay there again in the future.”

• The rooms were nice and clean and everything was working.

“La Quinta is noted for keeping their "older" hotels up to date and this one is no exception. The carpet, bedding, and bath fixtures were all very nice. Clean and well kept.”
