• View, pool access and the
  proximity to NASA..

“Great proximity to NASA, retail, etc. The view from our room was incredible. Great view. Access to personal water craft and pool. Did not try the dining services. Check out was noon, but received a 1 PM extension. Although crown molding was being installed in the hall ways, our stay was relaxing and quiet. Plan on staying there again next year.”

• Spacious rooms. Close to Space Center. Prompt room service.

“This was a nice hotel which was close to Space Center. They provide spacious rooms with great views of Clear Lake. Prompt room service. Lots of elevators which was great since there was a wedding reception the night we stayed and they were busy. There is a pier where you can rent jet ski's at the base of the hotel.”

• All staff personel were very friendly.
• The pool was simple and small.

“We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was all very nice, and treated us with great care. The check-in was quick and easy, and added an extra touch when the staff gave us some discounts to a nearby restaurant. Great service.”

• It was close to Houston Space Center & nice TV.
• Remodeling was being done and it was noisy.

“The swimming pool was not attractive, rather it needed some upgrades to it and very small. The rooms are in need of some remodeling new paint and nicer sink counters. For being a Hilton 3 star I expected more. Our mornings were noisy due to some outside remodeling/painting being done. My room view was of Clear lake but also to big containers of trash from the remodeling.”

“The hotel was great. We got very clean beds, a flat panel TV, great view of the lake, clean bathroom, and great amenities. The only problem is that the air conditioning didn't seem to be working right.”

• Business center not functional following Ike. Slow elevators.

“What a wonderful first-time stay we had 12/24-12/28/08! Staff could not have been more courteous, friendly, professional and accommodating. Our room overlooked Clear Lake and was much larger than expected. The room had a large screen TV and a very comfortable king-size bed. The breakfast buffet was scrumptious. Friendly, helpful security personnel. A GREAT value for the money!”

• It was a lovely facility, comfortable room, and the location met my needs.
• The heat did not work and it was cold for a couple of hours until they got it reset.

“I was generally happy with the room, location, etc. It was an unusually cold evening for this location and the heat had not been switched over to become active (in the ceiling vent). It took a couple of hours and we were cold (63 degrees) while waiting for someone to come on shift and get it fixed.”

• Location was good. Lobby was beautiful.
• View from our room was of a brick wall. Elevator was super slow.

“We were pleased with the size of our room. There was plenty of room for our luggage and any purchases we made and still not be stepping over or around these items. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small for two people, but we managed by taking turns. The elevator was so slow to the 18th floor that we sometimes took the one for the 17th floor and walked the stairs up one floor.”

• The staff was friendly.
• 2 fires on 2 different days (one at 6am), house keeper left door open, food expensive.

“It was ok. Not like other Hiltons I have stayed in. We had 2 fires on 2 separate days, one at 6am. The house keepers left the room open while we were gone. The pool was clean but the immediate area was not, landscaping. Just not what you expect from a Hilton. The food was very expensive but well prepared. No Jacuzzi?”

• The elegance of the Hilton made our romantic runaway very romantic! (smile).
• The only thing I did not like when I called for directions, I did not get correct ones.

• $11.00 charge to connect to internet. Seems a little outdated.

“It was really nice, but being in such a hot and touristy place the pool could have been about 10 times larger. Also for as nice as everything else was the bathrooms were extremely small and you could barely close the door.”

• The view from my room was wonderful and my stay was great.
• There were not enough carts to carry your luggage on.

“I highly recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to the Galveston, Clear Lake area. My husband and grandchildren enjoyed swimming in the pool. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful and very accommodating.”

• Great view overlooking Clear Lake.
• AC was dripping water on the carpet in the room.

“The hotel had a great location for our needs. It was clean. Our room had an AC unit that dripped water on the carpet. We had a large room and felt there should have been more seating. There was a lot of open space in the room with no furniture. The balcony is very small and had nothing to sit on. That would have been nice since we were overlooking the lake. It could have held at least one chair. For a 2.5 star, it was fine.”

• Beds were twin beds, not queen. Small room. Bathroom tub was old. Bathroom needed to be dusted. Also, I had a 3 egg breakfast, for $25! Too much!

“Hotel desk workers were very friendly. Manager stepped to the desk to help when business was heavy. While I had no disagreement with him, he did not provide the same level of customer service as the regular desk workers. He seemeed to busy to be bothered.Overall, the hotel was nice and the shuttle driver (Eddie) was outstanding.”

• The hotel setting afforded us a great view when we awoke.
• The hotel well off the main highway and is not in a well-lit area, proving difficult to find at night.

“The hotel could have used many upgrades and a more improved cleanliness. The room had newer amenities, but was in need of a through cleaning in the bathroom. It bears the Hilton name and was not up to par as far as other Hiltons. Although an older property, the lakeside location is a pretty setting in the morning. I would definitely return to this hotel as it was a good value in the area.”

“I have stayed at this particular hotel several times before and have always been very satisfied. This time, however, I was very disappointed. Housekeeping was so bad that I had to request clean towels and go without having the room cleaned.”

• The hotel was in a great location to the Kemah boardwalk. We really enjoyed the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay.
• Neither my husband nor I like elevators. We heard that the elevator had gotten stuck the week before; so, we walked up 8 flights of stairs!

“Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We would have liked to have gotten to go swimming in the nice pool, but the rain and thunderstorm kept us from doing that. It was quite amazing, though, overlooking the bay and seeing the streaks of lightning hit the water! I would definitely recommend the hotel to others.”

• Staff knowledge of reading reservations and giving them to the right guest

“My reserved room was given to another person with the same last name. It too 30 - 45 minutes to get everything straightend out and I was late to a wedding rehersal due to this. Other than the check-in incident, the hotel was a great place to stay.”

“This hotel is perfect if you want to go to Galveston, Kemah Boardwalk, or NASA for a brief stay. It is right on the Bay(Nassau?); the view from the hotel is magnificent. We stay at this hotel for a short fun get-away that is still quite close to home. Jet skis and boat rentals are not too expensive and are located at the base of the hotel. The staff is friendly and always available.”
