  • Nice room for the price. Easy to find.
  • Could not get clear directions from the employees for the local area a few times.

“The hotel has been going through renovations due to Hurricane Ike. The room I stayed was one of the renovated rooms. Upgraded LCD TV screens and comfortable beds made this enjoyable stay.”

  • They offered free high speed wireless and the overall appearance of the hotel was very good.
  • Some of the areas were not very clean, swimming pool.

“I was overwhelmed with how hard it was to get around the hotel. The roads were so jam packed that I really did not want to go anywhere. I did enjoy my stay overall, but am glad it was only for two nights!”

  • Loved the look of the room. Very nice for the price I paid.
  • Internet was very spotty. One night it worked great, others, could not connect at all. Balcony would have been nice.

  • There isn't anything positive I can share related to the experience I had here.
  • From the moment we arrived the experience was one of the worst I have had in recent memory.

“It began when they did not have a room for us after traveling 300 miles from Dallas summarizing a 16 hour day and with a paid confirmation. The front desk clerk just looked at us waiting for us to respond when she told us she did not have a room for us. After we balked she spoke with another clerk and they offered a hospitality room that was with a "pullout couch and they could bring in a rollaway cot." When we asked for a manager they then found "the showroom", the room they show to prospective guests. They never mentioned that it was a king bed only even though our rest was for two queen beds. When we arrived to this room after all the chaos at the front desk we were stunned that it was with only one bed. We then called the manager to the room which he arrived with a key to another room with two queen beds. Where was this room when we checked in? They gave us 2 drink vouchers and 2 breakfast vouchers but we would have been happier to just be checked in quickly to the room then to be put through the 45 minute dance that we were put through to at the end be given a room that forty five minutes earlier was not available. A painful experience and one that will assure that I will never book at the Brook Hollow again and will consider my rest options for Houston in the future.”

  • Was not in the best area of Houston.

“This hotel is more of a two star hotel. Although the hotel was recently renovated the rooms were just average. The room was noisy as you could hear highway traffic all night long. As a solo female business traveler, I was not appreciative of the attitude of the man at the front desk when I asked where the closest grocery store was. all he offered was "down the street" and was not so pleased when I told him I was not from Houston and where "down the street he meant" he never offered a name of a store or how far away it was so I ended up just walking away from him as I found him very disrespectful and rude! You would expect that people asking directions would be quite typical and the staff member would be happy to help me find my way but that was not the case. Also, the hotel is in more of a business office area and there are no restaurants or stores nearby. Quite honestly the area where they were seemed to be a bit of a rough area. If you are going for a for a night this hotel would be okay but for a long stay I would not recommend it as things such as finding a place to eat or shop such as the galleria area is farther away than I had thought according to their website.”

“I prefer 4 star, but there was no 4 star in the area. Hotel was ok for 3 stars. The room and bathroom looked worn which gave it a dirty feeling even though it was reasonably clean. I had to go to the front desk to get a cable for internet service and return the cable to the front desk. No major ordeal, just a hassle.”

“Great location for me, nice place, no one was there at 10:00pm to help with bags, no dolly to move stuff with, so I was left moving bags back and forth from parking lot. I asked desk people to have my a/c checked and repaired, or move me, got back to hotel around 10:30, A/c still growling and I was to tired to address the problem.”

  • Location, clean, nice carpet and bed, lots of pillows.
  • Plug in bathroom didn't work. No plug by coffee pot, so it had to be moved. Hot water was at a trickle.

“The few glitches with electricity and water was all that was negative. It seemed reasonable to expect plugs to work, and to put a coffee pot near a plug. I like baths, but the hot water only trickled, so it took literally five minutes to fill the tub. Otherwise great!”

“The hotel and staff were very nice. The only issue that tainted my stay was the fact I was unable to enter my room even once without help. The rooms were recently renovated and there was obviously a problem with the lock. The staff was helpful and even served us a breakfast buffet. However, it still made for a frustrating stay.”

“The location was convenient, the room was clean, and the price was right. The only problem we had was the noise. Our room was next to the fire exit door and people were banging the door all night long, until we called security at 1am to have them stopped.”

“Sheraton Brook hollow hotel is located in NW section of Houston and is a short drive from Galleria and Downtown Houston. Keep in mind that Houston traffic can be very bad at any time of the day. Hotel is definitely a 3 star and has been undergoing some maintenance and repairs recently. Staff is very courteous and helpful with requests. This was my experience when I requested a room change as my initial room had a very strong odor of cigarette smoke and mildew, even though it was a nonsmoking suite. My new room was a great improvement. The only negative I will state was from the other guests who were coming and going at all hours, talking loudly in the hallway and slamming doors. It was very annoying. Other negative was that if you get a room facing the Southside, you will hear the highway traffic all night long as the full length glass window is a poor noise insulator and is more of a parabolic dish to catch sound from the highway. Window air conditioner is the heat pump type that stays on all night so that can be a nuisance too.”

“Located in an intersection that's easy to find, but very difficult to get to unless you're very familiar with the immediate area, because of intersecting interstates and odd traffic patterns. The beds were incredibly bad; the mattresses consisted of foam that was perhaps five or six inches deep. The two double beds had some sort of metal frame that stuck out from the edge of the bed two or three inches, but underneath the bed skirt so you couldn't see them, at exactly the right height to bark your shins which we promptly did, three or four times.”

  • The location was good. Provided maps to popular locations.
  • Hotel was dirty and under construction so it appeared raggedy and noisy.

“I thought the staff was good. I loved to directions provided by the front desk to all major sites and locations in and near Houston. However, the rooms were old and dirty. The carpet was stained badly. They also allowed smoking and non smoking rooms on the same hall which made my room smoky. I was not advised that the hotel was under construction. This may resolve some of the issues mentioned in the future, but it made my current stay rather inconvenient.”

  • I had no desk or internet connection. When I asked for the internet connection they put it on the floor.

“The hotel was handling a large number of evacuees from New Orleans. It is also under renovation. The staff was friendly and quick to respond to my needs but I was amazed to find no desk in the room and have no internet connection device. When I called they sent the box and placed it and a phone on the floor. I called again and they brought a desk. This is a Sheraton?”

“The stay was just overnight. I arrived about 6pm Thursday evening and checked out about 6:45am Friday morning. (Attending an orientation in a nearby town - reason for the visit). Considering the time spent in the hotel, the stay was okay just for a night's rest. However, the bed was not the most comfortable so if were staying longer than a night, this may be a slight inconvenience. Did not utilize the restaurant, however was slightly confused by the staff informing of a continental breakfast only to find out the breakfast was $10 in cost. Continental is generally something quick and definitely not worth $10.”

  • The staff treated us with utmost courtesy. They pointed out their satisfaction policy and re-assured us that they were there to honor it.
  • I have absolutely no complaints.

“The hotel and room were very clean. They were in the process of completing fresh renovations. The staff was very courteous and friendly. One of the greatest features was the free covered parking garage that was conveniently located close to the lobby. Being able to park your vehicle in the shade during the hot Texas summertime is a huge plus.”
