• Spacious rooms, 2 big flat screen TVs, and over size bathroom. Great stay.
• The mattress and the pillows are poor quality.

• We could walk to the Galleria.
• Thick plastic over the windows. Could not see out.

“Would have been great but they were doing constuction. We were told before checking in that no body would be in the rooms that were under construction. This was not true. We could not see out the windows and there were no robes in the room like promised. We also had to pay $12.00 per night for parking.”

• Large and comfortable beds, small living room for meetings and location was very central.
• No free cofee at the lobby and no room service.

“Best for business meetings. Meeting space inside the room and a business level restaurant at the lobby. Personnel was very friendly and willing to help at anytime. Small pool can be used by those who are accompanying a business person.”

“Nice hotel, very clean and attractive. Found cockroach in our room, hotel staff immediately came up helped us pack our things and upgraded us to a premier suite, and comped back everything we had spent on dinner & drinks up to that point.”

• Location.
• One of the front desk people was not the friendliest when I requested adjoining rooms.

“Rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable, location is great with the galleria being 1-2 blocks away, close to the interstate but very little or no noise in the rooms. The pool area is by far the weakest link.”

• Rooms were very well furnished with incredible beds. Very nice.
• Front desk staff was less than accommodating. Hotel shuttle driver refused to take us more than three miles, even though destination was 3.5 miles.

“Room are very well furnished. Marble counter tops and very comfortable beds. Public spaces are not well designed. In order to reach the pool area, you have to walk past the entrance to the restaurant. Front desk staff needs a lesson in manners. Hotel shuttle refused to take us more than 3 miles, even though our destination was only 3.5 miles. This is not a hotel where you can expect the staff to go the extra mile for you.”

• The location was very convenient.
• Having to pay for parking and not knowing that in advance, no free breakfast or newspaper.

“The hotel was generally nice, the pool was very small. I thought the location was great for the things that I needed to do. I honestly expected much more for the upscale rating, I hoped for much more. I had bragged about how Fancy the hotel was to my 12 yr old daughter, and sadly it was a disappointment.”

• This hotel was clean, comfortable and had a very friendly, helpful staff.
• I wish the fitness center was inside the hotel as opposed to detached.

“This hotel was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was spacious and wonderful for business. Loved the free internet service. It is in a great location with lots of shopping and dining. The staff is most helpful and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Once we arrived there was no reason to leave, everything was right there in the hotel.
• I didn't like having to pay for parking. I think parking for hotel guests should be provided.

“This is a great place to stay - the room was wonderful, the service was excellent and the food was great. The only thing that we didn't like was having to pay for parking. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.”

• The room was as nice as the 4 stars I have stayed around it.
• The people at the front desk were sharp and rude in person and over the phone.

“The hotel was great for the price and the room was as nice as some of the surrounding 4 stars I have stayed in around the Galleria. The room was clean. The staff at the front desk was rude, the valets and the bellmen were sweet. I love the refrigerator in the room. There was lots of space for clothes. The sitting area was awesome, and it was a bonus for the price. My girlfriend and I would love to stay for our annual girlfriend weekend get away. Plus the self parking wasn't overboard like the Hotel Derek at $20 a day.”

• The suites were enormous; lots of bathroom/dressing space.
• Staff not very helpful/informed re: city and directions to major attractions.

“The non-smoking room we'd been assigned was obviously not always non-smoking. We didn't even set our bags down, but headed straight back to the front desk. While it took the young staff awhile to extract themselves from their chat, when I explained the problem, we were given a new room--this time a full suite. That made up for any frustration I'd had over the initial service and smoky room. I only hope they take such pains to remedy all customer problems. Recommended, but don't hesitate to speak up if not up to expectations.”

• Nice room, room service great, restaurant waiter awful.

“Hotel room was very nice, clean with a comfortable bed. Paying for parking was a surprise. The restaurant had good food but a terrible waiter. I spoke with the manager and suggested she get a better waiter. She offered to buy me and my friend breakfast but we didn't have time. Overall, it was a good experience.”

• The room was attractive and spacious.

“The hotel room was spacious and allowed for privacy if you wanted to close the French doors to the bedroom, but as my boyfriend said, "It just didn't give you that great, luxurious hotel room feel." Also, I don't like unexpected expenses. That really annoyed me. All in all, this is a decent hotel, but next time in the Galleria area, I'm going to try my luck somewhere else because there are plenty of hotels to choose from!”

• The stuffed shrimp were the worst I have ever eaten, one bite and I didn't finish.
