“This place is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is very beautiful and everyone was so very nice.” Nov 18, 2009 by
Kathy from Burkburnett,TX
“The hotel was beautiful, but catered to a large, young sports group. It seemed difficult for them to keep control of the running and yelling of this group. Since the doors had a space between the door and the floor, the noise was easily transmitted into the room.” Oct 6, 2009 by
Maggie from Bettendorf,IA
“Rooms need to be updated, still fairly nice, mostly the non upholstered, non bed furniture.” Aug 8, 2009 by
Mark from Louisivlle,KY
“No free internet, however, room was clean, nice staff, close to highway, great rate!” Jul 8, 2009 by

“I liked the hotel a lot, it was very nice and comfortable, would definitely stay there again.” Nov 6, 2008 by
“When I went to check out, I was glad I didn't do the express check out, because I found $90 as charges for an room refrigerator that the room did not have, I had not requested, and in fact would not even have known was an extra had it been in the room. Fortunately I was still there for the day for the conference, because it took all morning to get it straightened out. The carpets outside in the halls were littered with all sorts of small debris which was there the entire time. On the first night there, we were dumped into the chilly outdoors in our night clothes with a fire alarm that was the result of something burned in the kitchen. Being a volunteer fireman, I at least enjoyed seeing what Topeka's finest brought to the scene. Beyond this, their lounge echo’s up through the atrium and into the rooms above, very noisy and it stayed that way after midnight. At least I did not feel unsafe; the Ramada in Topeka has armed guards, and places it is not safe to be after dark. Once while I was there the front desk clerk was beaten, raped and robbed not 10 minutes after I had passed through the lobby. I have stayed in the other three star in Topeka, the Hyatt Place, and though it has no restaurant, it is far nicer, an quiet!” Aug 7, 2008 by
Clair from Grand Forks, ND
“We have stayed at this facility several times, it is always in good shape clean and modern. It is a good location for our stays.” Jul 25, 2008 by
Tara from Omaha, NE
“Hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly fast service and the location was great! We would stay there again.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Meadow from Aurora, CO
“When you first entered the room it was decent. The beds were made nicely and they were comfortable. As I began to look around, the walls looked damaged and it looked like they hired someone inside the hotel to fix it. The outlets were not in the wall fully (safety hazard). There was a huge stain on my sheet (I slept on top of the blanket). The bathroom was kind of clean, but again the general maintenance of the room was very, poor. It made me very uncomfortable and the staff wasn't helpful either. I will do everything never to stay in Topeka, Kansas.” May 22, 2008 by
Erin from Albuquerque, NM
“Our room did not contain a refrigerator or microwave as stated. Our room opened to an atrium and was Extremely loud. You could hear everything going on outside the room and the odor of food from the restaurant in the atrium could be smelled in all of the rooms. The hotel also called my cell phone at 6:00 a.m. on the day of our departure and then hung up, waking me up for absolutely no reason. We didn't have a wake-up call scheduled, and even if we did, they should have attempted to call our room and not my personal cell phone. This was a very dissatisfying experience and I hope that this is an isolated incident.” Mar 28, 2008 by
Joel from Dupont, WA
“It looks and feels the same as all the other John Q. Hammons hotels. Comfortable.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Judy P. from Omaha, NE
“Nice hotel, good food and comfortable room. I would stay there again.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Connie from Guthrie, OK
“The hotel was very convenient to the events we were attending in Topeka. It was clean, attractive, and the staff was polite. There was an open atrium and the sounds from the ground floor areas carried up into our room.” Feb 5, 2008 by
Michele from Blue Springs, MO
“It was clean but the service at the front desk and restaurant were terribly slow. The food was good, but not family friendly. A group meeting at the hotel was VERY loud until almost midnight.” Jan 5, 2008 by
L. T. from Topeka, KS

“Very nice but as with all hotel rooms with an open floor plan to the lobby it was very noisy early in the morning due to the breakfast/brunch buffet and close proximity to the pool.” Sep 18, 2007 by
Larry from Joplin, MO
