• It was clean and best of all very little noise if any. Staff was very efficient
• Its location would make it hard to find for a traveler but I knew where it was.

“We really enjoyed the motel. Even though we weren't in it very long we would like to stay there again. The motels in Topeka I think are way to expensive and we usually don't stay in Topeka but were meeting friends there and would definetly go back.”

• The beds were very comfortable.
• Due to a mix-up, one two members of my party didn't have a bed.

• I thought the beds were excellent and I liked the breakfast that was available everyday.
• The bathroom was a little small and old like being in a trailer.

“It was very comfortable, had an indoor pool and hot tub. Free breakfast with waffles, bagels, cereals, fruit etc. Free newspaper everyday and very clean. Conveniently accessible to shopping mall, restaurants, Barnes & nobles, Wal-Mart, etc. If your not looking for frills but reasonable rates, with adequate amenity's this is the place for you. I enjoyed my stay very much. It was packed the whole time I was there.”

• BIG room with 2 queen beds & pull out sofa.

“Great place to stay. Nice big room with fridge and microwave, besides the standard amenities. Awesome location near the interstate, great restaurants and tons of shopping.”

• Good location. Friendly staff. Well kept and clean.
• We were on the second floor with lots of luggage and no elevator. We are seniors and it was tough.

“Typical two star hotels located right off the Interstate close to restaurants. Very clean and nice place but very bad if you are on the second floor as they have no elevator. It would have been okay years ago when I was younger but now at my age having to lug suitcases up the stairs is way too much to take especially when you have a touch of arthritis.”

• Great continental breakfast.
• Disgusting pool and hot tub.

“Hotel was a little hard to find. Staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast was fantastic, i.e. freshly made waffles, muffins, hard boiled eggs, bagels, hot cereal, cold cereal, pastries, orange juice, coffee, milk and apple juice to name a few. Pool and hot tub area was disgusting and no towels were available at the time we went. Mold growing on inside of hot tub and pool water looked a little dirty. Room was fine and cable channel selection was outstanding. Had nearly all basic TV channels.”

• The Hotel shampooed the carpets leaving them wet the next day every room.

“I should have been informed of the shampooing of the carpet. This caused a smell and a wet carpet all the next day.”

• I was impressed with the friendliness of the employees.
• Our carpet in the hotel room was very wet.

“Was very pleased over all. The only concern we had that the carpet was very wet. We feel the carpet had been cleaned recently it just was very soggy. Couldn't walk barefoot in the room because the bathroom tile was very slick. However it was very clean.”

• Friendly staff- very helpful.
• The lock was broken on the door. The bed was not comfortable.

“This hotel met the basic needs. However the hotel did not met up to the quality I am used to when staying at the comfort inn. First they put me in a smaller room than I had reserved. Immediately upgrading me to a suite. The bed was sinking on one side and the security door was broken. The pool had too much chlorine in it and you could see how cloudy the water was.”

“The room door didn't close without slamming. The first night I was initially checked into an occupied room, but the clerk caught it before I left. The second night another guest was checked into my room, saw my stuff and left - again the door didn't close properly & was thus left partially open & unlocked. The third night my keys no longer worked. The room was really dirty - not vacuumed & cigarette ashes still on the wall. The pool was filthy with trash at the bottom and stuff floating on the surface. My wife and I skimmed it, but nobody cleaned it during my 3 night stay. Continental breakfast was good. I wasn't placed near my other 2 rooms, and I received a smoking room, but the hotel was pretty full, so not much could have been done without assigning my room before I checked in.”

• The room was neat and nicely decorated. Well Lit parking lot.
• Spa water had a green tint and bad odor. Television in our room quit. We had to go to another room. The pay per view movie system was down.

“Check In was easy and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean. We wanted to buy a pay per view movie and had trouble with our television. The staff tried to help us over the phone, with no success. Next thing I know, the TV quit, and wouldn't come on anymore. We had to change rooms and the movies wouldn't work in that one either. We had to go out to a movie theater. When we got back, I wanted to take a dip in the spa. I noticed a green tint to the water, and an odor. I turned the spa on, and the hotter the water got, the stinky it did. I felt so gross. I had to go right up to my room and get a shower. However, the beds were comfortable and I slept good though.”

• I liked that they had an hour of pool time just for adults.
• There was a musty odor in the room. Probably needed updating. Pool was small. Upper TV channels were not clear. Not watch able.

“The staff was very friendly, and had a family atmosphere. However, the hotel needs updating. And the rooms were musty smelling. The cable stations had bad reception. I probably would not stay here again.”

• Had a very good breakfast. Was convenient to shopping.
• Difficult to get in and out of. Had large trash containers located on the parking lot that you had to negotiate around in coming and going.

• Close to freeway & friendly staff.
• Satisfied.

“The hotel has pool, hi speed internet access and free breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. I was able to get check out time extended two hours in order to attend church services and return to change into travel clothes. The location is close to all major stores and restaurants in the city. Several miles from downtown and capital building, but within 5-10 minutes by freeway.”

• would not let us use the pool till we had checked int - would not let us check in early even if we didn't want to go to our room

“They did not have any hand towels available. The TV did not have all stations available. This was mentioned twice to the hotel front desk. Overall the stay was fine.”

• The staff was terrific
• the rooms had overhead florescent lights that couldn't be used separately from the wall lights. Lighting was horrible

“The hot tub had the most chlorine I have ever experienced. My eyes were burning. THere was remnents of a diaper floating off the bottom of the pool. Really disgusting.”

“When we entered the room, someone already was in there, so we complained, but staff didn't apologized and less surprised. He just told me that it was computer problem and recommand Fairfield Inn next Comfort Inn. After all, we moved Fairfield Inn at 11:00 p.m. Our family were very unpleasant at that night.”

• The King Size Bed non smoking room & staff
• hard to get into parking lot.

“Very nice 'basic' hotel. Nice oversize clean room with hair dryer, desk, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. I was fortunate to receive a king size bed which I put to good use. Plush pillow top mattress and plush pillows with high speed internet or dial up access.

“The hotel was old and outdated. An alarm clock in a room next to us started going off at 5am and continued to blare until 8am. We did not have a very restful vacation. Also the bathroom in the hotel was tiny, you could not sit on the toilet and close the door at the same time.”

“The room was excellent. Comfortable bed, desk for working and chair for relaxing. The only complaint I have is that the channel for ESPN was not viewable. Other than that I would highly recommend the Comfort Inn in Topeka.”

“It was what to expect from a Comfort Inn, the hotel itself was older and the staff seemed like they might be new, (didn't know directions to the main hwy, etc.) It was a fair price for the hotel.”

“I was very disappointed in my stay at Comfort Inn, in Topeka, KS. The check-in staff was less than hospitable and acted as if I were interrupting their important conversation with boyfriend/friend. I'm not sure they ever looked directly at me. The staff and friend kept talking about drinking and getting drunk, even as I was standing close to the check-in counter. One had a cell phone that kept ringing and she kept answering and the other kept talking to the guy-friend about booze. Obviously I don't know for sure, but it sounded as if the guy-friend was going to go get them a drink while they were there. (maybe they'd be more friendly that way!) The hotel itself was fine, I wasn't there very long, but the check-in staff left a lot to be desired.”
