• Very nice, recently remodeled, new large screen TV, lots of room, great beds & pillows.
• Wish it had a indoor pool and hot tub.

“We had stayed at this hotel before Hyatt took it over and remodeled all the rooms. The remodeled hotel is beautifully done with large rooms, comfortable beds, large new thin screen TV, really nice bathrooms and a really nice continental breakfast with lots of fruit and other good foods. It is great for a business traveler or family fun. We will stay here again.”

• Newly remodeled, beautiful, modern, large plasma TV in room.
• Everything was great except, no mirror in bathroom at sink or anywhere. Had to use mirror in room.

• The rooms were awesome.
• There was only one elevator working.

“This hotel was clean and the rooms were big and spacious and we loved the big screen TV. We really enjoyed the star bucks where we could sit and drink hot cocoa and watch TV.”

• Friendly staff and good breakfast.
• Rooms were not very clean and bed had spring wire sticking through.

“Overall it was an average stay. Bed mattress could have been better, had wire sticking through material. Room carpet was not as clean as we would have liked. Breakfast had nice choices and was good. Staff was very friendly and professional.”

• The night clerk was put out that I arrived during her dinner time.

• The hotel was clean and nice, and the buffet was excellent.
• The hotel bed was horrible. The mattress was like a brick and very hard.

“Overall the hotel is very nice, clean, nice looking lobby and in a good location. The buffet was really good and well stocked. The only problem was the bed. I could hardly sleep at night because the bed was as hard as a rock. The hotel needs to replace these beds with new mattresses.”

“My wife and I took our 4 grandkids to Topeka. The room was ideal for us. The front desk person was very friendly; the kids loved the pool and the breakfast. We had a great stay and I know the kids will remember it for a long time.”

• Kitchenette had no dishes or utensils.

“The hotel was clean, well furnished and landscaped. It had a pond with ducks in a large grassy area across the street great place to take a walk or relax and watch the sunset. Convenient to I-70 and Wannamaker.”

• The air con is very loud, otherwise everything is good.

• I liked the larger room size.
• The water was shut off on the kitchenette sink in my room.

• Very large room accommodated 3 adults and a 16 year old with room to spare!
• Nothing.

“The staff was very friendly and allowed us a later check out due to the lateness of our check in. The room was spectacular, clean, large, and comfortable. We would eagerly stay at this hotel again.”

“We asked for a non smoking room and were put into a smoking room. Calls to the hotel manager when unanswered. Would not recommend this hotel. Also, it was confusing to find.”

• The bathrooms were nice, great for were I needed it to be.
• Did not like the elevators, slow moving, and the pool was out side.

“I think the overall stay was great. But when I travel, I like for there to be an inside pool, and inside hot tub as well. Very nice location though and it was peaceful.”

• The massage soap smelled nice.
• Room was not cleaned, forced to be in smoking room.

“I called at 6pm to let the hotel know that our plane was going to be late and for them to please make sure our non smoking room was ready when we arrived. They said no problem. When we got there at 2am, they sent us to a dirty room. Then after that they went and checked several rooms and said they were all dirty as well. Then told us all they had been smoking. We had no choice. I was traveling with my elderly mother. Both of us could hardly breathe by the next morning and my mom's eye was puffy from the smoking room. It was Nasty! They moved us to non smoking after the first night and things were better.”

“We checked in expecting a king bed, in a small suite. We received a handicap suite with one double bed, not even a queen. Upon request, the hotel made NO attempt to correct the problem nor to adjust the rate.”

“The process would not let me select large enough beds for our group. We had two older teenagers with us and the second bed/couch was only big enough for one person unless they were small children. The hotel did not have any rooms with two queen or two double size beds.”

• Loved the rooms when we finally got into the ones we booked.
• They messed up our reservation and tried to blame it on prince line.

“When we arrived at the hotel late that evening the hotel was full and they couldn't 'find' our reservation. The girl saw my reservations and said she was switching all 4 rooms to that type. I believe she somehow messed up, canceling the original rooms, but failing to follow thru reserving the ones we wanted. There were buses and vans galore with several track and volleyball teams in town. Only 7 rooms were available and they were all on the smoking floor. We took what we could get despite a couple asthmatics that had problems with the smoke smell. They did get us into different rooms the next night. Said we would get a certificate for a free night, but I¿ve yet to see that.”

• I liked the high speed internet and having a desk separated from the TV.
• Bathroom faucet needs to be replaced as it was almost impossible to turn water on and off.

• The hotel gave me a free new tragrain bar and two bottles of water.
• There was no indoor pool so I and my girl couldn't go swim. There was no restaurant or bar either.

“The receptionist was always on the phone speaking Spanish to someone that was obviously not a customer. At least she would get off the phone to talk to me. The bed was way too firm and uncomfortable. The table wasn't very sturdy and started to crack during doggie style with my girl so we had to stop.”

“Everyone was so dam nice, I¿m reluctant to complain at all; but lord it's tough to get to! First, it's not on 6th as its address would indicate. In fact it's not within 200 yards of 6th.and there's no singe on 6th that indicates "turn in here for amerisuites." I saw a lot more of the southwest corner of Topeka than I ever wanted to at 11 o'clock at night, looking' for the place. Once there, the stay was pleasant.”

• They were able to put us on the ground floor, which was good for us.
• Maybe it is not part of the 2.5 star qualifications, but the hotel did not have an indoor pool, hot tub, or restaurant.

“The hotel was clean. Although they served a good breakfast, none of the servers wore gloves. These servers also appeared to work in other areas of the hotel, which made me wonder if they had a hand-washing area in the closet where they assembled the food.”

• Minimal kitchen in room compared to other "business suites".

“The hotel was as described in the quotes by previous guests, minimal kitchen, nice breakfast buffet. We carried back leftovers from Olive Garden, picked up a bottle of wine and a salad for a cozy meal in the room the next night. Had we been expecting a full kitchen like Bradford or Town Place, we would have been disappointed, but the reviews helped us plan ahead.”
