• Huge room, comfortable bed, great old market location.
• Hot tub was out of order, no swimming pool.

“This was a great hotel for the price. We were in town for a wedding and needed a place close to the reception. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious room and friendly staff. It was also nice to park inside the locked parking garage for peace of mind. The continental breakfast was hot and very good! We would definitely stay at the Redick Plaza again!”

• The people (all of them) were the most rude incompetent people I have ever met in my life.

“It is in a low rent area with scary lopsided parking ramp that my sedan had a hard time getting into. The people were unbelievably rude. The lady at the front desk gave me wrong directions 3 times and a wrong phone number. Being from out of town, I couldnt have got a worse opinion on Omaha. I will never stay at that hotel again in my life.”

• The carpet was coming up, the ceiling had plaster patches, the heater was loud, the bed was small and hard, the fitness area had equipment from 1980.

• Parking garage is narrow and inside of hotel is older and dark.

“The hotel is comfortable and is in a good location. Carpet on the floors is outdated and rumpled and the interior is dark. Continental breakfast is sparse.”

• I liked the convenience to the old market square. The suite we were moved to was very nice.
• The lobby & breakfast room were small, dark, rugs very worn out etc.

“Although I called 24 hours ahead of time to indicate the need for a non smoking room due to health reasons, we were initially placed in a smoking room. We were eventually moved to a very large corner suite which was very nice. My impression was that the hotel was full and so they tried to stick us in a smoking room just to see if we would complain. If that's the case, that's really too bad, because Im sure we would generally be much happier taking the 3rd or 4th "best" hotel.”

• The room was clean and comfortable. Close to everything in the Old Market Area and the Qwest Center.
• We had a hard time figuring out how to turn on the shower. Had to call the front desk twice for help. Strange shower.

“The hotel is close to downtown Omaha and the Qwest Center. We were there to attend a concert and it was easy and close. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable too. Only trouble we had was with the weird shower...which was great, once we had the front desk explain how to turn it on. The nozzle below the water spout is pulled down after the water starts running. Very odd!”

“It was fine for what I was looking for, but I would hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone else. They first gave us a room under renovation and one elevator wasn't working well while the other one was out of service. They did upgrade us to a two room suite plus the location was nice.”

“My first room had not been cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom. My second room appeared clean but I stepped on an open safety pin and found a discarded apple core + empty beer box in the room.”

“The lobby is attractive. The rooms are large. Unique old building. The walls are pretty thin; it is easy to hear anyone out in the hall and the traffic on the street. The breakfast was average.”

• We liked the spacious room and the decor. We liked the location because it was close to the old market and to the workshop I was attending.
• They did not leave washcloths or floor towel in our room. We did not feel totally safe, especially at night. Also hard to find parking.

“While I was in my workshop, my wife was ok with walking around the old market by herself during the day. Between the market and the hotel, though, it did not feel safe at night because of strange people hanging around. We loved that the room was spacious and close to our main destination, but we did not like that we could not control the air conditioning. It was too hot for us. Check in was quick, but check out took longer, and the desk attendant was a little crabby. Parking is hard to find when there is an event going on at the west center.”

• The ambience of the hotel was wonderful. Original 1930's Art Deco.
• No Restaurant, lounge or pool.

“This is a great boutique hotel with unique design features. In the heart of downtown and close to the Qwest Center.”

• Clean and spacious room, great location, 24/7 shuttle.
• Building and modeling are a little bit old, but comfortable.

“Staffs are friendly and helpful, the hotel is well-located near the old market, and room was clean and really spacious with clean bathroom. The most important: I got a shuttle picking me at the airport at 12:00 am! Very nice service and you get to see lots of airline crew members staying at this hotel.”

“The hotel was very clean and all of the staff was extremely nice. The continental breakfast was ok eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bread, juice, fruit and milk. The beds were absolutely rock hard! Also we had to pay $8 for parking in the hotel's parking ramp for two nights (the front desk staff did not inform us that we would have to pay). The location however was great, close to the old market.”

• Location is great, staff very friendly; a once grand hotel that has seen better days but is still decent.
• Breakfast was not good.

“The Redick's rooms are spacious and the location, if you need to be downtown or near the Old Market, is convenient. Easy and cheap parking. Very friendly and attentive desk staff. If you like a fridge or mini bar in your room, may want to book elsewhere--my room had neither. Maids do a great job and the bedroom and bathroom, while starting to show wear, were in decent shape. Continental breakfast could be improved. The biscuits and gravy had congealed on my first visit, and the pastries were stale.”

• Noise from a club across the street until 1 am.

“This hotel is within 6 or 7 blocks of the quest center and within 3 blocks of the old market. The room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate -- choice was limited. Security around the hotel late at night and in the dimly lit garage was of some concern.”

• Nicely restored old style building with indoor parking.
• Needs painting of the rooms.

“Very nostalgic old style building with parallel multi level parking (can park on same floor of the room), convenient to leave stuff in car. Nice lobby with piano, marble accent in public areas. Good location for shopping, theatre, one block from best steak house in the city. The room was large with plenty of floor space for another bed if needed. However, the room could use a paint job. The location did not seem to be the best part of town but I felt safe enough. It was very close to alternative clubs (best club in town) and old town shopping area.”

• The hotel was in a convenient location. Close to restaurants and local attractions.
• The parking. They charged extra for parking in the garage and the garage was narrow and hard to drive in.

“The hotel staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The area of the Hotel was a bit noisy at night due to its proximity to the Local clubs and fire station. The parking was horrible. You could either take chances finding a spot on the street or park in the garage for an extra $4. Even then the garage was often filled with people going to the local bars and clubs and it was hard to find a spot.”

“Next to Market Square which is a tourist area as well as locals. Not in the best area of town however. As a single female, I would not have been out of the hotel after dark. Lost liquor license, so if you wanted a drink, you had to go out of the hotel. This was inconvenient after a long day of travel.”

• The lobby was very nice and welcoming. Staff very helpful.
• Did not have 2 queen sized beds like I asked for but gave us a roll-away bed very quickly.

“Fantastic--Even though we did not get the beds we had asked for--The night was very relaxing for my husband and I, our young daughter, our adult adopted son and our 3 special needs foster boys. They were great about having a roll-away bed at the room before we got upstairs ourselves for our adopted 23 yr old, 6'5" son. The kids had a wonderful time 'camping out' in sleeping bags on the floor. We even all slept in and had a wonderful morning waking up nicely and all gathering on the king sized bed and being a family.”

“Old, run-down, supposedly a restored historic, not good accommodations for doubles in a room, refused to give room with 2 beds, even though I'd rented 2 rooms, extremely disappointed for the price.”

“The manager was impossible to work with as far as accommodating our extra family members. I know they only need to supply one king bed per room, but all the other motels or hotels I have stayed in, they have always put us in rooms with two queen beds or moved us to a room with two queen beds. This hotel did not help us out in any way.”

• It was reasonably priced and the continental breakfast was great.
• The decorations were outdated and the lobby needed some attention.

“For the price we paid, this hotel suited our needs. The check-in staff was pleasant, but the lobby of the hotel definitely needed attention (worn carpet, pealing wallpaper). The rooms were outdated, but clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was a great value and parking reasonable ($4) and convenient.”

• They canceled my reservation before I arrived!

“I have never had a bad experience booking a hotel until this stay. Upon arrival, they had canceled my reservation. However, they could not explain 'why it was canceled. To make it worse the hotel sold out. The front desk people were completely uninterested in my dilemma and acted like it was no big deal. I will never stay at this hotel again in Omaha. All the other hotels I stayed at in Omaha were great in the past.”

“This hotel is a prime location for downtown Omaha for the old market square. Location for leaving the motel to go out to other area was also good. The parking ramp was ok. Everything nice and good. Wonderful continental breakfast. ”

• Hotel staff was rude and went out of their way not to help.

“This hotel is terrible. I have never had to fight so hard to get such a simple request done. I have used them for years and never had an issue calling and requesting a room with two beds or non-smoking. I called the hotel to ask for two beds. The lady was rude and literally yelled at me without cause. She said I got what I got because I got a deal. I noticed on their website they had two bed rooms available and non smoking for those nights, and she said those are reserved for their full price guests.Wow. You'd think given that it's in Omaha they'd be more flexible. The "free breakfast" is a joke, the beds are hard as rocks, and overall this is just a dumpy hotel. There are so many nicer hotels in Omaha and they're all walking distance to anything or offer free shuttle. Bottom line, spend $10 more and stay in a real hotel. ”

• Large room, continental breakfast , clean bathroom.
• Breakfast ended too soon;9am, dark carpet hid the dirt, but soil could be seen on my white socks. Needs indoor pool.

“The large rooms were nice, beds ok. Fitness and Jacuzzi room was nice, but temperature in room was too warm. It was a very quiet hotel, rooms' walls were well insulated, we thought we were only ones there until we went down for breakfast, and saw quite a few of other tenants. It's 2 blocks from Old Market. The parking garage was 4.00 a day, no options. And it was a tight squeeze. No warning about that extra 4.00 a day, but you could go from garage directly into hotel, so it was fairly secure.”
